Somebody's gonna have to start asking me questions because I can't think of anything. I'm in KS. Have you ever seen a tornado? Are you a storm chaser? (Sorry that is all I've got for KS)

Well, I'm a spotter which means I watch the sky locally & send reports in to NWS, so not technically a chaser like you see on tv. (I do have several friends that chase though).

I'm not a Civil War fan. I live in Virginia where you can't go fifty feet without falling over a Civil War historical marker or battlefield or reenactment or something. I'm from D.C. / Northern Virginia and my Dad would take us to Civil War Reenactments and we'd be SO bored! ALL we cared about was what we'd have for lunch at McDonald's! --hmmm, can anyone tell me what things are considered common in that area? The ONLY thing I can think of is that many people asked if we lived there because my Dad worked in politics/ government, which he didn't. ETA....I just remembered one thing----although none of us live there anymore; my Dad, brother, and sister are HUGE Redskin fans.

I grew up in Northern Indiana. I am not a Notre Dame fan and I think football is ok at best. I've never been cow tipping or corn detasseling.

Alberta has a redneck reputation, I'm not redneck.
Most st drive or own a pick up, I don't.
we love our Alberta beef, but I don't like beef.
Im not sure of any other Alberta stereo types. Maybe rig pigs, my husband is in the oil industry but not a rig pig, or as our deputy premier calls them now sewer rats.

Don't eat salmon, sushi, fish in general, like boating of any kind especially ferries. There are more I am sure.

Somebody's gonna have to start asking me questions because I can't think of anything. I'm in KS. Have you ever detasseled corn, "rogued" wheat, driven a combine or loaded bob tail, worn ruby slippers on the way home from an emerald city? (or been to the Wizard of Oz museum)

I was born in & always lived in D.C. area. Live in Md And have family in Va. I am very typical of the area: LOVE the Bay and water sports especially sailing Have caught, cooked and eaten crabs hundreds of times Love to fish and go to the beach Love the fall colors and been hiking and camping in the Shenandoah Mt. Many times. Have worked for the Fed govt and know many people who do or did Love history and museums including civil war stuff Love the Redskins, Nats ( started with the Senators), Terps, O's, Ravens, hookies Know lots of lawyers
big difference = I have always hated politics

This is Jo'burg. I have some Afrikaner blood, some Scottish blood and mostly English South African. Until recently I worked (consulted) for the "new" government, at all 3 levels. With that for context (Peas, I am using the very broadest and possibly slightly outdated stereotypes for the purpose of participating in the thread.)
-- I don't live on a farm, don't drink Brandy & Coke, don't own an old SA'can flag. -- I will drink whisky with my DH, who loves it, but I prefer wine. I will sample the Haggis on Burns night but am not a fan. Neeps & Tatties-ok. Athol Brose-oh yeah. -- I hate the malls. I maintain traditional employer-employee relationships with my domestic workers. -- In the old days, my contribution to change was mainly academic support of those banned or excluded. I was only teargassed once, by accident- a can came through the 2nd floor window of the law library. I maintained traditional employer-employee relationships with the officials who paid my bills, unless we had something else in common and became friends as opposed to co-workers. I met Mandela once, but I tried not to believe that qualified me to solve the problems of the country over a couple of beers one friday night.

I live near the beach and I love and adore the beach, but most of it is the bay. I prefer the ocean. Yet I never go. People come to my area to go to the beach yet I don't go. I don't know why.
My place of work is actually right on the bay - I have a beautiful view but I don't even go outside and enjoy it. somehow, living and working here it just becomes background scenery on my way to and from work to get home where I bury myself inside.

PA is a bigger state than some people realize, so things that are very prevalent in one area aren't automatically popular or prevalent elsewhere. So I'm not eating scrapple or cheese steak hoagies every day.

He and I share some things in common of southeast Pennsylvania but we don't have things in common with Pittsburgh!

Yep to the first part, just bought some for the first time , watch football every time there is a PRO game on, Whataburger (Waterburger LOL) eeeeeewwwwwwww, and I only drink unsweet with a SPLASH of sweet so that I am not using artificial sweeteners.

Buckeye state - born & bred. Have lived in Houston 10 years now.
As for Ohio - I admit I still call soda "pop". Probably always will. But my family doesn't spell out "O-H-I-O" with our arms in pictures LOL. I don't eat my chili over spaghetti. I don't drink Natural Light. And don't say "please" instead of "excuse me" when I didn't hear what someone said. Oh, and I still have a love/hate relationship with LeBron.
As for Texas - I don't like Whataburger (blasphemy I know!), I don't really care for Shiner, the only "Friday Night Lights" I'm under are for women's HS soccer, I don't own cowboy boots, hats or Wranglers, but I do love to go to the Rodeo!

I live in Seattle and use an umbrella (or ignore the advice not to use an umbrella). Ha! I'm also a Seattleite and get irritated when I see memes or jokes about kids in Seattle being born with an umbrella in their hands. We don't use those here!! If you've got an umbrella, you are either a tourist or a transplant from somewhere else. This made me laugh. I was born and raised just south of Seattle and go home fairly regularly. One of the first times I took my DH out there it was drizzling and he grabbed an umbrella. I told him that I would not be seen with him if he used it. I'm not a tourist Also, we all don't live on houseboats and we all don't work for Microsoft. Many other Western WA things I do: salmon, coffee, I wore grunge back in the day, loved Pearl Jam and Nirvana, and many other things that are now escaping me.

I live in Colorado and don't partake of the wacky weed. I do love to hike and enjoy the outdoors though. LOL, I don't either. I was down in your neck of the woods climbing the Manitou Incline yesterday. My hips are asking what was I thinking this morning.

SaveLol, it's all good, I learned to drive in Indiana ETA, speaking of driving, idk where you are in PA but we spend a lot of time in the Lehigh Valley and up in Scranton and those area have the worst parking lots I have ever seen. I think the planner was drunk or high. They are designed to keep you in and never let you go!
