Somebody's gonna have to start asking me questions because I can't think of anything. I'm in KS. KU or K-State? What's K-State???
Haha. Definitely a KU fan but will always cheer for KS teams. Unless they're playing each other, of course.

Somebody's gonna have to start asking me questions because I can't think of anything. I'm in KS. Have you ever detasseled corn, "rogued" wheat, driven a combine or loaded bob tail, worn ruby slippers on the way home from an emerald city? (or been to the Wizard of Oz museum) Corn - yes
Roguing wheat - does pulling a crap-ton of rye count?
Combine - yes
Ruby slippers - I do own red lizard Justin ropers from back in my college days
WofOz Museum - not the one in Wamego, but I have been to Dorothy's House
You did make me think of something potentially, though. I've never actually watched the WofOz movie. Can't get past the beginning - too freakin real. Can't watch Twister, either.

(also a former KS person and MO and LA and TN and CO and CA... ) Farm - we don't sleep there (have a house in town) but are out there nearly every day. Dog out there's name is Toby so close lol

Pulling rye and Dorothy's house count as quintessential Kansas things to do.

I'm in Scotland, and I have never eaten haggis. I don't like whisky, and I actually drink very little alcohol at all. I don't say "Och aye", but I do like the sound of bagpipes.

Florida...I'm not a retiree, don't play golf, not a snowbird, not a Yankee transplant (I moved here from another lovely Southern state), never been to Miami, don't own a golf cart,.. but I do have a pair of pink plastic flamingos in my front yard! ohhhh...those are good. I am not a retiree, don't play golf, definitely not a snowbird (third generation Floridian actually-fourth if you count the one greatgrandparent) I have been to Miami though, and definitely no golf cart. I did, however, grow up in North Florida and have just wee bit of the redneck gene-so I grew up swimming in lakes and sinkholes, drink sweet tea like it is the nectar of the gods, have an accent that would make you giggle, eat grits every chance I get, call every one honey, darlin', sugar, sweet pea and I will bless your heart (both ironically and with all sincerity,) drive a truck, give directions based on units of measure called 'yonder,' all bubbly drinks are 'cokes,' y'all is a word that even my iphone text thingy recognizes, I will ma'am you and call you Miss So and So. Funny, Florida is a strange place. North is more South than the South and the middle is different than the South and the North. So what I do I bet a lot of people don't. And I bet a lot of people don't do what I do. Lots of distinct areas with distinct personalities.

I live in Summerville SC, just outside of Charleston. We are the home of sweet tea, and I don't drink it. Can't stand the stuff.

Things that are common in your home state, that you do not do: (Florida)
1. Wrestle alligators 2. Speak Spanish or Creole (I can usually understand both) I cannot understand other languages. 3. Lay out in the sun 4. Go to the beach 5. Go to any theme park. I think we are done with annual passes. 6. hate the summer heat and humidity. You get used to it. 7. shop at Publix all the time. DS works at WM. We get a discount. We also shop at Costco.

Same except: I have been to Miami, moved when i was a child from upstate NY. I don't have a pair of Flamingos in my yard. I don't fear hurricanes. Lived through them. I don't like living without AC when the power goes out.

Also, when you hear the same sayings over and over, you pick up on what a person is saying.

I live in Texas and don't vote Republican. I also don't watch football, own a gun, listen to country music (don't mind old/classic country but don't like the newer stuff at all), drink sweet tea or go to church. I don't like riding horses but have ridden one a couple of times. I do own a sweet pair of teal cowboy boots, love Tex-Mex food, decorate my house like Joanna Gaines went to Mexico and say y'all and all y'all and fixin' to.

I'm in Illinois and I am neither a Cubs fan nor a Sox, Bears, or Bulls fan. Cardinal Nation all the way!
Other than that I can't really think of anything that pertains to Illinois.

PA is a bigger state than some people realize, so things that are very prevalent in one area aren't automatically popular or prevalent elsewhere. So I'm not eating scrapple or cheese steak hoagies every day. So true about PA, it's like 3 states in 1. I am not a fan of cheese steak hoagies or funnel cakes but I do love some crispy fried scrapple! Love most amish style food since that is what I was raised on. I am not a Steeler, Phillies or Eagle fan. I have tried hunting, fishing and camping but I prefer the shore and picking blue crabs.

New Jersey -- I don't eat pork roll Oh, now, see , living in PA, I would have asked if you knew how to drive properly. j/k I wouldn't really ask or even think that, although I did grow up always hearing about "those Jersey drivers!!!". Savelol We also complain about "those Jersey drivers, NY drivers and VA drivers" too. The only reason PA drivers are "terrible" is because we learned to drive dodging all those potholes!

This is tough. I think I just might qualify for Mrs. Michigan. I play Euchre. I play corn hole and horse balls. I eat pasties and fudge and cherries. I love to ski (water and snow). I have a lake house. I know how to drive in the snow. I cheer faithfully for the Wolverines. Okay, I thought of it. I don't drive a truck....but only because I recently sold it, which I deeply regret. Oh, and I don't say pop. I say soda....but that is only because I lived on the east coast for awhile and got out of habit.

I'm a typical minnesotan minus the lutefisk. I'm mostly German, not Scandinavian. I do, apparently, have an accent. Often am asked where I'm from. Um....here? Well rounded though and appreciate small town and city perks.

SaveCommon misconception - it's not the Jersey drivers that are the problem. It's the NY & PA drivers passing thru that don't know how to drive!! Another Jersey girl here and while I am probably considered loud & I love Taylor Ham (we do not call it pork roll!!), I do not subscribe to the GTL life philosophy glorified on that ridiculous TV show. OK, I do my laundry, but that's it! I am also not a fan of sloppy joes, but don't tell my dad.

I'm a stereotypical Minnesotan. If I don't do it, someone in my immediate family does.

I am in NJ and I do not eat Taylor ham or pork roll. *gasp* I love it and don't get it/eat it often living here in NC. Taylor Ham and cheese on a hard roll is my favorite!
