These should have been posted of the March thread, but it took me until today to finally sew the buttons on. It was a happy accident that the sweater set and the corner 2 corner blanket ended up matching. The sweater was created with the Nicole Studio Sample yarn and the blanket was done with 3 1/2 skeins of the Sweet Roll yarn. Those are beautiful!

I have a ton of Anna Griffin papercrafting stuff, I stalk her on the HSN crafting days. But I haven't really used much, just acquired a lot. So I went through and looked at what I have and made 16 or 17 cards on Friday night. Here's a few, and the rest are on my blog if you're interested.

I finished this "Jayne" hat for my son a few weeks ago. Today was the first time we were able to get together so he could model it. He was thrilled with the hat...with letting me take a picture, not so much. lol. Attachments:

I finally got a start on my block of the month Christmas Quilt. The first block has been cut out and fused in place. I am going to wait until I have a few more blocks done before I start the machine embroidery. Since there are 12 thread colors I figure it will be more efficient to do several at once. It's been years since I have done appliqué work. Now I remember why! Sooo tedious. I would pay them lots more money to provide precut pieces!

I love these Pea projects! KelleeM, that baby & the baby dress are too cute! I recently joined a local "Rocks" group. I'm not sure the real name for this. These groups are in many cities and can be found on Facebook. Painted rocks are hidden in local areas, some simple and some elaborate, and the basic idea is to spread joy and brighten someone's day in a very small way with a painted stone. local rock groupTacoma rocksCharlotte rocksWe have found a few rocks in the past couple of months while out walking and have re-hidden them for others to find. You can keep or re-hide the stones you find. We have only kept one for a long time ...a Star Wars AT-AT walker one. When my son is done thinking it is cool we will re-hide it too. There are themed painting events and meet ups sometimes. So I've been painting rocks to hide.. just because this is a very low key, stress free craft....rocks and paint. Here are a few I've done... I love this. Kelleem- that dress is beautiful. All the quilts are amazing. I just started a fluted cuff bracelet. There's no way it will be done this month because the studio is closed this week.

Well, it's all here!! The nice WW person emailed me back. It turns out when I placed my first order I was a "guest" and not logged into my account and they're having issues with their automated email response so that's why I didn't receive a confirmation email. I could return it but I've decided to keep it!

I suppose if I have any quibble at all about WW it's that they are so efficient they get orders out too quickly if you need to rectify something! Not that that's really a bad thing. Enjoy all that lovely yarn KelleeM.

That is true about the order fulfillment with WW. I placed an order, the first time, with Deramores on April 13th and still haven't received it (it hit my credit card on the 14th so I assume it is floating along somewhere on the way).
Everyday I anticipate the mail and not yet:(
I have to add that subsequent to my Deramores order by a few days, I placed orders with Love Knitting and WW and both of those have arrived already.

Argh, too many great posts that I can't keep up with them all, I've just been 'liking' them but wanted to get back and comments on them all and now there's even more! So many creative people and such lovely work, I love the yarn photos and the painted rocks and the quilts...all of it So I went through and looked at what I have and made 16 or 17 cards on Friday night. Here's a few, Those are gorgeous! The people who get those will be very lucky. Great to have a supply on hand too. I always used to think "I'll make a card for so-so" and rarely did because I'd always run out of time, now you'll have them on hand. I finished this "Jayne" hat for my son a few weeks ago Looks good on him! The nice WW person emailed me back. It turns out when I placed my first order I was a "guest" and not logged into my account and they're having issues with their automated email response so that's why I didn't receive a confirmation email. I could return it but I've decided to keep it! One can never have enough Stylecraft Special DK...and you would have got the 3 new colours too, what do you think of them? I'm partial to the Mushroom one.

I have a lovely pattern and it`s a chalanging project. Problem is that I have been through every scrap of fabric I own and nothing is remotely suitable. My OH thinks it is funny that I have a shops worth of material and still wanting something else. I am not mobile at the moment so searching local shops is not possible and the two websites I buy mini prints from are down for holidays until next month. At least you ladies will know how I feel at the moment. No excuses now ...housework it is.

pjaye I love the new colors and may have purchased extras of each so I now have 4 each of them! The mushroom is beautiful but I think my favorite is the vintage peach.

Thanks for the kind offer lainey. I have decided to try the pattern in a less expensive fabric first, sort of trial run. That should satisfy the craving to make it and any mistakes won`t annoy me so much.

JoP I'm about 5 colors behind you! You're doing a great job!! KelleeM thanks 😁 - I'm on row 42 - I changed two yarn colours from the original I'm using Fuchsia instead of Raspberry and Buttermilk instead of Camel. Are you doing the same size as the pattern?

You ladies sure are fast with your hook. My shoulder can't keep up with my desire to keep crocheting.
Your colors look very nice (not sure if it is the photo or actual but your colors look deeper and richer than the ones used by Attic24). Great job.

JoP I'm about 5 colors behind you! You're doing a great job!! Wow, yarn yesterday and a good start on the blanket already today. As mentioned above, my shoulder sure holds me back from spending as much time as I'd like to spend crocheting. I've been doing a lot of buying yarn lately which we know that can get us into trouble sometimes. I just don't know where I am going to stash the latest that is coming.
I bought 25 colors of the PaintBox cotton (I already had about 20 colors so I purchased virtually all the other colors) last week. My order arrived yesterday. I had also purchased one skein of the PaintBox Simply DK and played around with that a bit and liked it so I thought I would buy a bit more. Well, when I went online, the full set of PaintBox cotton 54 colors was 40% off so of course I had to buy that as well a load (27 skeins) of the Simply DK because all the PaintBox was 25% off. The quality seems similar to the Stylecraft but the color pallet is a bit different (many of the Stylecraft colors are a bit "dusty" or vintage tinged to my eye). The colors just look a bit cleaner to me and the range of shades in some colors is much wider. I can't wait to have ALL of the cotton together. I will have to photograph it and use it as my laptop background!!!

I actually received my first order over a week ago. I'm jealous of all your cotton! I wish your shoulder would be more cooperative. . JoP I went with the kit/colors they had. I guess I'm a lot further behind you...I'm on the 9th color!

The blanket is for my Mum's 89th Birthday in a couple of months, so the colour swap was to fit in with both her lounge and bedroom colours. SweetiePie Pea I'm a newbie crocheter so not fast by any stretch of the imagination - well done on your cotton purchases

Oh nooooooo! I just went to the Attic 24 site! That hydrangea blanket is gorgeous and I've been looking for a new crochet project. I've ordered from Wool Warehouse before and they get stuff here to the US really quickly.
I can feel myself slipping down the rabbit hole.............!

I've finished another baby blanket. I used Bernat Baby yarn and I'm not a fan of it. My sides are very uneven because it was hard for me to figure out where to start and end a row. But I'm not about to take it all apart and redo, especially since my grandson will be born next week! I'm going to put a satin binder around it to hopefully hide the unevenness of it. But here it is: You did a great job!

I'm LOVING all your projects! I've been going through and liking them too.
I'm having a colour problem. I want to make myself a circular jacket with a pattern from Drop Designs. It's for my Easter and Christmas concerts where we have to wear black bottoms and white tops, and the church can be anything from overheated or (most often) perishing. Bright white makes me look like death warmed up, so I'm trying to find off-white, or winter white. Cream won't do - too yellowy. I want acrylic (NOT wool), in 4-ply weight. I've exhausted all of the yarn shops within 10 miles of where I live, and have been looking on-line, but winter white or off-white don't appear as colours, and I've discovered that there are eleventy billion shades of white, all called white, and all potentially nothing like the photographs.
Advice?
