ACOT has not sent any updates either.  I just got the shipping notification!! Woohoo!! I hope you'll get one from ACOT soon too  Jealous. I didn't order for a while so I don't expect mine in the first round. |

Mine was shipped from Marcos this morning, and I got an email from Craft Warehouse (pnw store) that they are in stock!
If I wasn't leaving for vacation tomorrow I would run over there just to see it !

I backtracked on this thread because I posted as soon as I got it...looks like my pre-order was made on June 18th. I keep checking my email, but no shipping, yet. It's all good, though! I'm in the midst of the Christmas in July project I'm aiming to finish and my most used tool for this is my typewriter...I don't think I've used any stamps in it...so it wouldn't get used immediately anyway. |

Simon Says Stamp has photos of the platform. They may be the new version. There is a grey square in the upper left corner where the two rulers meet. Older photos have a black square. I think they are finally on the way to us..... That would fit with the comments people made about the changes being related to the rulers not touching. |

But I'm dying to see the difference and feel them in my hands. I'm in Canada, so maybe the difference in shipping dates could also have to do with separate quotas for international buyers...? Pulling this out of thin air, I have no information to back this up. Just an idea. Hope everyone gets theirs soon, I have been refreshing the tracking info obsessively 🙈 |

The difference isn't that huge...I'm now glad I didn't panic and order from overseas and instead ended up using cherries (and the day I ordered, I found a dog...they hide dogs on their site and if you find one, it's a $10 gift code...that's why I caved) at ACOT to get it. I'm wondering if the email I received from ACOT is targeted. It says the wait isn't long now...but I thought that some had already gotten tracking from ACOT?? So maybe since I pre-ordered, I got a special email...either way, the email sucked. Other than the note and the image of the platform, everything else was html language not images or readable text so I don't even know if it was meant to be a regular newsletter or an update for pre-orders, lol. ACOT just keeps me guessing!

The change is so negligible (although, they'll probably have to move more international product with the original version because the ones meant for the US which probably consumes the largest amount of scrappy supplies is now not saleable here which means the initial cost to Tonic is probably a lot greater than it should have been) but hey...it no longer infringes, not that I believe it did in the first place. I feel like the statements about the modification no longer infringing on patent requirements should come with a  emoji for some reason...maybe even a 'so there' for good measure, lol. I'm sooooooooooooo amused by everyone deciding to work around her patent. I hope that the negative press she managed to generate for herself puts her out of business...something I usually wouldn't ever say about a small business. Besides, according to her, she's made millions on it so she should be able to bank it and live off of that for many years or invest in something else and think twice about behaving so childish. |

I sure am glad our taxes go to fund civil courts where Petunia can file document after document over a patent she shouldn't have been granted (IMO) and shouldn't be able to use against TH/Tonic. I sure hope those filing fees cover the costs of the court resources required to deal w/them - but I fear they don't. |
