So is Petunia rolling over this time? Or more fighting? Maybe she is licking her wounds? Maybe she is getting more platforms ready for sale because she has to pay Tonic's legal fees? Two likely factors: she, like the rest of us, was waiting to see the changes made and secondly, lawsuits take AGES to come to court, especially technical ones, even when both sides are motivated to get it done. |

I remember reading her patent document where it stated that it had 2 rulers that touched. So now that Tonic's newest platform doesn't have the rulers touching, could that be enough not to infringe on her patent?

I ordered back in April. I'd be upset people that ordered in June are shipping before me...except I ordered one from eBay and got one weeks ago. That's the original version. But I'm dying to see the difference and feel them in my hands. I'm in Canada, so maybe the difference in shipping dates could also have to do with separate quotas for international buyers...? Pulling this out of thin air, I have no information to back this up. Just an idea. Hope everyone gets theirs soon, I have been refreshing the tracking info obsessively 🙈 I'm in the US and I ordered in April from ACOT. No shipping notice yet and my account says that they are waiting for stock. I'm wondering why June orders were shipped before mine. |

It has been speculated that a Jennifer McGuire post mentioned something about her saying 'there is room for everyone' on IG around the time the MSP lawsuit was filed against Tonic was not coincidence and actually directed at MSP. Given her adoration for Tim (I'm presuming since they're both professionals in the industry that she is more than a fan, she is a friend), I am just dying to see if her Misti use disappears and she ends up having a stockpile of the Tonic platforms instead. |

ACOT said that this week most of the earliest pre-orders will start to go out (like Jan through part of Mar or something like that) and that they are expecting their second shipment on Thursday and that should cover the rest of the pre-orders.

I am super excited. Guess what showed up today? My stamp platform. Yipee. I had ordered from Stamper's anonymous and they enclosed 2 stencils as a thank you for my patience waiting and a coupon code good through 12/17. What a nice gesture! That's really awesome to include extras, especially since they weren't at fault for the delay. I just got my tracking number for mine from ACOT, so excited. |

Monday is my hope, if I somehow get tracking on Friday, I'll be ecstatic and push to finish my DD album so I can play with the platform by late next week. I'm down to the teens in number of pages to go!!

My stamp press is FINALLY about to be shipped to me! I can't wait! ACOT's delivery was delayed and they ended up getting them today instead of last Thursday. It's not out, yet, but it says 'ready for shipment' which means it will be soon. I got it for a screaming deal because of my cherries and the $10 gift code I found on their site, so I'm more than willing to be patient in receiving it because I would have paid a lot more elsewhere...but I might stalk tracking like a mad woman once tracking actually shows up in my email.
ETA: Tracking came not long after I posed this! Woo hoo!

I'm regretting pre-ordering. I emailed the company just asking for an update and the 850 platforms they have received and are still receiving won't even reach my order date. I should have just waited and ordered when they were in stock somewhere else. If you need (or want) your platform sooner, call the company where you pre-ordered and find out if you can cancel and get a refund. If you can do that, then order with someone who has it in stock now. Scrapbook.com seems to be sending new orders out promptly. I have never pre-ordered anything before. This was my first time, and I do not think I will ever pre-order anything again. I like supporting smaller companies, but the manufacturers favor the bigger companies. Or maybe the bigger companies have the resources to order more, and that is why they get preference from the manufacturers. I had ordered from a smaller company, and they charged my card promptly. They kept taking pre-orders, even after shipments started arriving. Now they apparently are no longer taking any orders till August, because they are having trouble getting enough platforms to fill the orders already received. I realize that is not their fault, but it is very frustrating to the customers who are trying to support smaller businesses. |
