We are going to Alaska in July. We might do something over Christmas as well. Don't know yet. DH decided to cruise last Christmas and we all surprisingly loved it. Didn't miss being home for the holidays at all. Maybe a repeat is in order. We did a Caribbean cruise over Christmas 2015 and loved it. No pressure, someone else decorated for us, and great food everyday.

Clearly I need more vacation time. It's also great to see vacation times other than during the summer. Keep the answers coming, seeing how diverse the group is, is wonderful! One of the wonderful things about having our children grown and no longer in school is the ability to travel when we want, not just in school break times. Add to that European vacation - 6 weeks per year, and we get 13 public holidays here in Bavaria - and so many chances to get away for a short break.

Went to Vegas in February (there for mine and my sisters birthdays). West coast of Scotland in June. Nothing else planned so far, although I have a conference coming up at a hotel/spa I love, so might spend a night or two there on my own before and after.

The week before Mother's Day, I'm going with my mom, DD, sister-in-law and 3 nieces to Destin for a girls' beach trip. It will be a four-night stay.
Our kids are going on a trip with the church youth group the second week of June, so DH and I are making a quick getaway trip to Asheville/Biltmore for a couple of nights. We've not had a trip to ourselves in a few years, so it will be nice to spend some time together.
Then our big family vacation will come the week before Thanksgiving as we head to Disney for a seven days. Really looking forward to that!

I'm going to San Diego for a week at the end of May for my nephew's graduation. In Nov my adult dd and I are doing a trip to Disneyland/Universal Studios. We left Ca. before they finished building Ca. Adventure, so we are excited to see that for the first time. I haven't been to Universal since I was 10 and my dd has never been. I'm sure there will also be some long weekends out at the lake over the summer, just none set it stone yet.

We leave June 5 for a family cruise to Cozumel out of New Orleans. The day we disembark in NOLA we have to drive straight to Houston to meet our church youth group and drop off 2 of our 3 kids with them as they head down to Galveston. Then nothing else for the rest of the summer!

We're going to Hawaii beginning of June, dh is doing the HalfIron Man (Honu 70.3) and we are going to stay for an additional week or so. We had wanted to stay at Aulani, but of course, it is the one week that is totally booked. So we'll probably just stay in Kona the whole time.
We always go to Yosemite for the 4th fo July, last year we had a huge group - friends, my parents, my sister/her dh/his parents. As of right now only our friends can come and only for a couple days. So we are probably only going for a couple days rather than the 7-10 we normally do.
We'll probably head to colorado for a week or two in July. Dh's sisters and family live there and dh wants to do a multi day bike ride with them that supports bil's hospital.
Then Omaha for a long weekend in August - dh is doing the US triathlon championships.
Other than that things are in the air. We are hoping that we are going to move overseas in the fall - but dh is just starting the process with his work and we won't know for sure for a while. If we do find out we are moving I plan to spend every minute we are home packing, purging, cleaning, and getting the house emptied so we can rent or sell it while we are gone.

I just returned from a week in New Orleans. On Saturday I leave for a week in Puerto Vallarta Someplace TBD this summer with my son, who graduates HS in June. Originally we were going on a cruise but they changed/cancelled the itinerary so our plans are now up in the air September I am going to Palm Desert to celebrate a friend's 50th birthday, and then a couple of us gals are continuing on to Disneyland for a few days.

Well, after reading all these, mine is going to sound very boring. In May we are doing a weekend kayak trip in west AL, then in August the same group is going Kayaking in TN for a long weekend.
I assume the boys will want a beach trip to the gulf between those kayak trips but it's not planned yet.

I love hearing all of the great vacations peaple have planned.
Nothing exciting or exotic this year, but most of it at one of my most loved places. In addition to many weekends I will also take the last week of May, The first week of July, and the last 2 weeks of September and spend it at our camp in the Northeast Kingdom of VT. We had a very tough summer last year, so hopefully this one will be filled with more fun.
I also have a family reunion weekend in July.
There will also probably be a few weekends to Maine (already went once in April). Also possibly a few trips to Saratoga (NY), Lake George (NY), Boston (MA), or North Conway (NH). Maybe a day trip or 2 to Montreal. We shall see how things go.
I hope everyone enjoys their vacations!

We're going to London and Paris for 12 days in late May/early June! I can't wait. But I'm a bit nervous, as our sons both have autism and this is a long trip.

Baltic cruise in 5 weeks time (just one week, Belgium/Denmark/Sweden/Norway, someday we'll go further & do Russia etc too)
Scotland for a week in August to see "my" reindeer (kids adopted him for my birthday) & because - despite having taken the kids half way around the world - we've never taken them to Scotland!
Dh & I might manage the odd weekend away although due to my workload (teacher & full time student) we don't go far.
For the last couple of years we've done a European Christmas market in late November so we might pick another & do that again.
Love hearing about all your plans!

I totally forgot about the other trips we have planned. We are going to Campeche in June and Oaxaca for guelaguetza in July. We spend a lot of time in Mexico! I was thinking of taking DS to Monterey and then drive down to LA, but that is dependent on his grades so it's not looking too promising. Oh, guelaguetza! How wonderful. I've not been, but Oaxaca is one of my favorites, so I've dreamed of being there for guelaguetza. I'm planning a trip to Teotitlan del Valle for a weaving class so I can have my Oaxaca fix. Enjoy!

I did Grand Canyon and Sedona in March. Almost everything else I have planned right now is sandwiched around a work trip, so I don't know if that counts. Tampa in May for just a night to go to the Eric Church concert. CMA Fest in Nashville in June. Beach in July for a week, prior to a NASCAR race for work. Then I have a week in Miami in July which is all work. Charleston in September around a work event. I might do a 'staycation' this year and go to the neighborhood pool, read books, and get massages. Sounds heavenly after a super busy July. Was trying to plan a trip with girlfriends, but they are all so non-comittal. It's annoying. And I usually do something in the winter months with friends who also work in NASCAR, since that's their offseason.

We do a fair number of long weekend trips - just got back from a weekend in Asheville, NC with another couple. For longer trips, I'm going on a girls' trip (my MIL and her sister) to the beach next month and with the same group to Boston in the fall. I'll be in Virginia several times for family visits and I'm taking my mama to Atlanta to see family. My husband and I are headed to Namibia later this year. He and I are also going to Maine with his dad and stepmom. We're trying to figure out some time for a beach rental for the family but can't seem to coordinate everyone's schedules. The youngest son has Y camp, a mission trip, and soccer camp over the summer plus he wants to fly his first time alone to see a friend in Chicago and has his dad's wedding this summer. I need a spreadsheet just for his schedule!

Dh and I are having a week in Greece in May and we have a big family holiday booked in southern Portugal in September with both DDs and their other halves, grandson, my MIL and Dh's sister.
We have had many, many wonderful holidays in Portugal and MIL 'suggested' that we go again this year 'one last time'. I don't think she's being morbid, just that she's getting less mobile. I know this holiday will be very special for her.

Went to WDW a few weeks ago. Long weekend of wine tasting with girlfriends in September. Week in Prague, week in Budapest, and possibly one more week elsewhere in October. Trying to figure out if I want to travel in December. I don't typically, but for some reason I have an itch to do the holidays somewhere sunny and away! If I decide not to I think I want to go to Hawaii (Kauai) in January.

We went to WDW and Siesta Key 2 weeks ago.
We are going to Niagara Falls later this summer. I'm supposed to go somewhere for my 50th birthday but it's kind of dependent on dh's bonus later this year. DH wants to go to a golf tournament in Florida next month. Not my thing. I don't enjoy watching golf at all.

I don't wanna plan any more trips. I have to keep cancelling them. cancelled december Disney trips for the last two years. had mayan riviera booked for this February and had to cancel (furnace cacked out moments before I hit "confirm" so didn't actually cancel. but cancelled booking it. whenever I pine for the beach, I go into the basement and stare admiringly at my new furnace.... sucks to be a grown up sometimes.

We really haven't been able to "choose" our vacations this year. It's all been/being used up with things that have to be taken care of. We each have 5 weeks (I also get extra flex days, but DH doesn't).
We've already spent several vacation days going down to the U.S. to where DH's brother lived, to deal with his estate matters. We will probably have to make 2 more trips down there this spring/summer.
We took a week off to move.
We have to drive down to SoCal in September to scatter BIL's ashes and to bury DH's grandmother's ashes (long story - she died in 1978, but BIL never buried her ashes. They were found when cleaning out BIL's house). Because we have to drive down, that'll take 2 weeks, and all 5 weeks of our vacation will be gone.
I feel like I won't be getting any restful vacation at all this year.

We are leaving for a Pacific coast cruise in a week. We were initially booked for Alaska, but we just bought a new house, so we opted to save a bit of money and do something a little more reasonable. We are spending a couple of days in LA prior to embarkation... We go to San Francisco, Portland, Astoria, Victoria, and Vancouver. This is out very first cruise and we are really excited!
Next year... Alaska!

In June we are taking an Eastern Caribbean cruise: Roatan, Belize, Costa Maya and Cozumel. We are also staying three days in Miami.
Other than that, everything else is just three/four day trips within MN or Wi. We have a camping (RV) trip planned to Itasca State Park in Mn and an October camping trip to another state park.
We also have a family reunion and a couple extra days in the Green Bay and Door co area of WI planned in August. We might shift the Door co part to Chicago. Still up in the air.
Memorial weekend the kids and I are joining my parents and brother's family in Duluth, Mn. My DH is on a fishing trip in Canada for a week over that time.
We will likely get in another camping trip or two as well--one in a nearby park and maybe the KOA in Hayward, Wi. Not sure yet.
