We had a week before Easter where we headed to the former DDR - Leipzig and Dresden mainly. In June, DH has a conference in Evian, France and I am going with him, then we will tour southern France, including some of the wine regions, for a week. We will also head to Greece for a week, most likely late in August - we haven't decided which island yet, but I'd like to go back to Crete.

Disney and Legoland. Looking at Mediteranian cruises as I think it'd be more econimical than going by train! Norweigan has one for 7 days starting at $599.

After that, staying close to home so we can pay for college!

We'll probably end up in south Florida over memorial weekend (probably should get on that). Then maybe someplace tropical - Belize? Maybe Jamaica or something.

In May a two week road trip from Washington, through Yellowstone, North/South Dakota, Wyoming, etc. It's a National Park road trip basically.

my backyard, enjoying my new fence that our vacation budget paid for. seriously though, I'll take a week off in August right before school starts. I've done it the past couple of years and we've really come to enjoy just a week at home sleeping in and hanging out not doing much. June and July are almost daily field trips for both kids as part of the school's summer camp program so they're ecstatic to just chill. As I mentioned in another thread, May of 2018 will (i hope) find us sailing to the bahamas via Disney.

DH and I met in school in Montana, and I spent to little time in the parks up there. I LOVE that area of the country in the summer, when it's not buried in snow.

We are going on a short cruise in a couple of weeks to Cozumel. In September we are going to Vegas for DS's 21st birthday. In October we are going to Maui for our 25th wedding anniversary. We will also probably head down to South Padre for a couple of 4-5 day mini vacations sometime this summer. We have very good friends that own a condo down there and let us use it for free whenever we want.

We are going to Alaska in July. We might do something over Christmas as well. Don't know yet. DH decided to cruise last Christmas and we all surprisingly loved it. Didn't miss being home for the holidays at all. Maybe a repeat is in order.

Got a tax return for the first time in 5 years so we are going to use it to take the kids to their first ever trip to Disney and Harry Potter world, probably in January.
DH will be working in Honduras this summer for his new company and we get to visit him! My boys will be going for almost 3 weeks and I will go for about a week. DH will be there for 3 months.
We usually go camping in NC the first weekend of summer, have for the last 5 years, but can't this year due to DHs new job. We're trading that trip for Honduras later in the summer, so I'm not too upset about it lol.

Love all your answers, thank you so much for sharing!! Clearly I need more vacation time. It's also great to see vacation times other than during the summer. Keep the answers coming, seeing how diverse the group is, is wonderful!

We have already done Disneyland (2x) and Hawaii. We have two more Disneyland trips, a week in Northern California and then two shorter trips (college tours) to Boston and Denver planned.

I totally forgot about the other trips we have planned. We are going to Campeche in June and Oaxaca for guelaguetza in July. We spend a lot of time in Mexico! I was thinking of taking DS to Monterey and then drive down to LA, but that is dependent on his grades so it's not looking too promising.

As a family we're going to Big Sky, Montana in July and New Orleans in October. DH and I are taking long weekend trips to Seattle & Albuquerque. And, I am going on a girls weekend to Chicago with my college friends. We will also be doing college visits over the summer & fall (can't believe it's time for that already!)

We're in the process of planning a trip to Portugal. We're not sure yet whether we'll be going this summer or wait until Fall.
In July, I'll head to Houston to attend Kaitlyn's Crop w/ several of my Pea friends.
This is the first summer of our retirement, so I'm sure we'll spend a large chunk of our summer at our lake house and hopefully take some mini vacations.
