So I've always loved shoes. Always thought, "when I grow up I'm going to have all kinds of cool shoes". Well, I'm 46 and I STILL can't have fun funky shoes because THEY DON'T MAKE THEM IN MY SIZE. And on the off chance that I do find some, they're ridiculously expensive or there's another reason I can't wear them.
And what's this crap with ebay sellers who put a bogus "size" in their listing that shows as $5.99 but the actual real sizes are $25 or whatever.
I just wanna be a grown-up.
Please add yours so I don't feel so frivolous.

I hear you. My complaint along those lines is why can't I find a comfortable pair of shoes. I live in my running shoes, flip flops, and uggs. I would love to wear pretty grown up shoes, but they all make me want to cut off my feet within 30 minutes of wearing them. I just want a cute pair of shoes that I can wear for more than an hour without my feet hurting!

Can I join your party? I have a very narrow foot. Very few cute shoes come in this width. My kids say I wear old lady shoes. I need the Velcro to strap my foot in!

Aw, I'm sorry. It's frustrating when you can't wear the things you've always wanted to.
I'm mostly frustrated today because I'd been losing weight really well and the past two weeks have crept back up a pound or two. I want my pre-diabetes life back, but I know that's not possible or safe.

My cough is very dramatic sounding and it makes me sound like have the plague or something. It's just a really bad cough that makes you choke. I want to STFU. I don't want to subject anyone else to my hacking. I am sorry for all the noise it makes. I don't know how to make it stop. I wish I did!

I will join your shoe pity party flute4peace. I wear orthotics and have wide feet, and it's hard to find shoes that fit both.

I have wide feet and a high arch. I feel like Fred Flinstone, except Fred went barefoot. I need shoes! I wear them until they wear out. I can't wear heels, since the side of my foot comes out of them (high arch). My pity party- I went bike riding on the trail Sunday. Took a turn too fast and too wide, lost control, and went into a post and beam fence then fell with the bike on top of me. A jogger helped me up. I was not too far from the car. My left hand was bleeding, so the bike chain was staying off. Walked the bike back to the car. I am lucky my bones are intact but I am one big bruise.

I've never worn cute shoes because my feet are very different sizes and I can't afford two pairs of shoes.

Sorry about the box. I think we've still got a couple of boxes in the barn from when we moved here - 17 years ago.

I also found a couple of cute things at Shoe Carnival yesterday, but was too cheap to pay full price for them. There was one I'd have gotten, except it was a zip back and too tight around my ankle.

I have wide feet and super high arches, so it's hard enough to find good shoes. Then I messed up my foot, had to have surgery, and cracked it in three places during healing. I limped for 2.5 years. I had to get rid of every single cute shoe in my closet and buy orthopedic shoes. I miss my shoes!

Mine are 2, although sometimes I can pull off a bit bigger, depending on the shoe. I also have very high arches, which makes my feet almost as round as they are long.
(I'm 4'10", 85lb)

My niece found some very cute dressy shoes from a quinceanera site. I think she's around a size 3.

I have narrow feet and I am average height (5'9). I rarely wore heels when I was younger because I would be taller than everybody. I would like to wear heals now and look polished, but they are uncomfortable.
My pity party. we've been trying to get our sod in and have been trying for what seems like forever. We had great weather up until we had the compost delivered. Now the weather goes on and off and each step we take, we have to wait for the weather. I just want sod damn it.

I have narrow feet and I am average height (5'9). Isn't that tall for women? I always wanted to be 5'9" No idea why, but it seemed to be the perfect height for me. I'm 5'5".

Really? WOW, that seems short to be average The average height for a man in the U.S. is 5'9". Apparently I don't pay attention very well. My 15 year old son is about 6'3 and I just assumed that 5'10 - 6 foot was about average. I knew 5'9 wasn't perfectly average for women, but I figured it was at leas 5'7-5'8. Then my reasons for not wearing heels were legit. Then and now.

I have 4E size 7-8 shoes. I have high arches, super super wide feet and a bunion. I have been working for 2 years to get ski boots to fit and they still hurt. I have very few shoes and have to spend a lot on any one pair. I am thinking of getting some custom shoes.
fortunately, I do have hiking boots that fit.. that is most important...

I can commiserate, my feet are proportionally small, so I'm 5'5" but I have size 6 feet. And I have the calves of someone who is 5'5" with large calves so boots above the ankle almost never fit. I realize there are zipper extenders but I want normal people calves. I even got evaluated by a fitness trainer and he asked me if I walked on my toes because I have huge calves, but it's just genetics

I've never worn cute shoes because my feet are very different sizes and I can't afford two pairs of shoes. Check out Nordstroms for shoes. They will sell you 2 different sized shoes at no extra cost, if you are at 1 1/2 sizes different. link
