I had every intention of participating in this, but things just got busy and I didn't do it. But I've really enjoyed seeing all of your pics. Thank you for sharing them! Maybe next time I can actually do it!

@elaynef , I hate big winds. I can take lots and lots of snow, but big winds terrify me. I'm glad you didn't have major damage. I'm sure that downed tree can be cut up and hauled away. Nice that it fell where it didn't smash a house or car...or person. betty , your photos are great. I love the steampunk hat. BTW, I went in and showed my husband the photo of that huge monster with the ball in his mouth. He was really impressed. When I told him you said he ate the dog and held on to the ball for a souvenir like a serial killer, I thought he was going to roll off the couch laughing. You made his day!

msliz , your photos are beautiful. Everything looks so pretty and green where you live. We are already having grasses turn brown. I have to tell you a funny about the purple allium(?). Mom had some of those and a neighbor was always telling her how much bigger, brighter, prettier her flowers were than mom's. Those purple flowers lose their color quite quickly in the season and are just brownish. One day my mom got an idea, and took some bright scarlet floral spray and painted her brown ones red. The neighbor was so irritated that she couldn't find where to get starts of the red ones. My mom was the kindest woman and was never vindictive...except this one time. She never did tell her! I always snicker when I see those flowers. nylene , I love that story! What a great memory for you! I could totally see my dad doing that. He loved his gardens, and he had a great sense of humor too betty, your wildlife photos are just amazing! And the subjects are so unexpected, for me anyway. Gators, wild pigs, and grocery shopping cranes!

29. In the rain.. I went down to the local lakefront park again..this was one of the last photos I took before the daily storm rolled in. This heron is braver than I am. I don't mind a little rain but the first big burst of spidery lightning and I ran for cover!

betty, your nature photos are amazing! I am thinking you could put together a coffee table book and it would be a best seller! Nice to see a piece of rural life in your pic's, msliz. Love the lighting in that selfie! Will go back to look at the other photos tomorrow when I can keep both my eyes open. I am home with my camera card full and some photos on my phone. Just need to decide which photo matches each prompt, then upload them here.

Okay. I have my photos ready to post. Here goes... For the 21st, I have one of my dgs's very proud of his brand new cowboy HAT. He will make good use of it in Calgary this summer. Attachments:

For the 22nd, I am using the prompt "In My Hand". Dgs was very proud of the pine cones he collected around the hotel. For the 23rd, we went shoe shopping, and dgs was excited about the huge shoe on display. Look UP!
On the 24th we attended the change of command ceremony for our sil. This is a closeup of him saluting the flag.

Moving on. For the Shadow prompt, I chose this photo I took on the beach with a group of cousins playing. It shows the evening shadows, but also the littlest one running to keep up with her brothers and cousins. She shadows their every move. Then I have two photos for the SMILE prompt. One is a group shot of the cousins (these are dgs's cousins from his dad's side, so not my dgk's. It was fun seeing him interact with them all). The other is a goofy selfie my dd sent of her new glasses.

For yesterday, I have a photo of a group hug of three little boys in Calgary saying goodbye. My dd took the shot looking down, trying to get a shot that included all three. Checked out the garden today, and got a photo of peas in bloom along their fence. For the GROWING prompt Two more days to go, and I have 3 prompts to choose from: Music, Yum, and New. How are you doing? Attachments:

Two more days to go, and I have 3 prompts to choose from: Music, Yum, and New. How are you doing? My three unused prompts are Reflection, Yum!, and Him. I think I've stretched the prompts as far as I can go over at the trails and gardens, and for today's I just posted more flowers. Tomorrow I'll see if I can find any fruits or vegetables growing for Yum!, but I'm fine just posting whatever I happen to see from here on out. This was so much fun, grammadee. I've never done a photo challenge before. It's hard to try to keep up with, even when you allow lots of wiggle room like I did, but I'm so glad I participated. I have several pictures from this challenge that I like and that I'm going to enjoy scrapping.

msliz, the tractor and the two garden photos make me long for home in Idaho. We haven't gone back for a while, but will go to Dh's Class Reunion in Sept. Love the photo of YOU! We need to see more of you. Your flower photos are so pretty and again make me think of home and my mom. Thanks for reviving memories. betty, I love that heron and love the circles the rain makes on the water. Such beautiful photography!! grammadee, I love your photos. That hat is especially sweet and I love the salute. Beautiful. Picking up shells, looking at boots and all your grandchildren photos are so tender. Makes me miss all the fun and noise of a week ago. That group hug is precious and I want to reach out and eat some of your peas....but never cooked! I have In the Rain left for tomorrow. No chance of rain, so I'll go looking for a funny calendar prompt. I have loved doing this. Let's do this again, grammadee.

Ugh Photobucket wants me to pay so they took my photos down ....I'm going to have to figure out Flickr! Oh no! I think Flickr is pretty easy to navigate, and to set up your own albums. If you want to share stuff on the 2peas gallery, you need to ask for permission I think? but it doesn't take long. Here is the 2nd page of my June photos on the PSE page I put together from the template that GiantsFan sent me. June calendar page 2 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr

Anyone else having photo hangover? The first 3 days of July were busy and I took my camera everywhere, so I got lots of photos. But today is just a blah ordinary day.
I found myself thinking as I walked down to the garden to pull weeds, "what will I photograph today?" Then I thought, "Awww, the challenge is over". Had a moment when I thought I could photograph something anyway, just for me, but by then I was in weed heaven and a long walk from my camera or cell phone, so the feeling passed.
What about the rest of you? Are you now in the habit of daily photo taking?

Not for me! I had a great time with it at the beginning of the month, but it became harder to make the time for it everyday as the month went on. I might be ready to try it again with all of you in December.

I know the month is over, but I wanted to add to my prompt for wings. This little (big) guy was hanging out on the front door of my work this morning. I see part of his wing is missing. I looked it up and it is a Minnesota Brown moth. Or Cecropia Moth. Cool.
