Well, betty , that might be "yum" to that guy, but I would have preferred that meal cooked. Looks like an awesome adventure, LisaDV . Too bad the rain drove you in early. Here is my Sunday photo. WINGS. Finally got close enough to a robin to get a photo. When he flew away, I swerved the camera so lost the shot. Attachments:

Ugh, I've fallen behind! Not good, not good. Between the heat wave, my stamp platform arriving and a busy weekend of enjoying the early summer, I haven't sat down, gone through my photos and got down and dirty with them. Naughty step time? Day 18 Before I fall behind even more, here's today's photo. We had a saily kind of weekend with the family.

By midnight today, we will halfway through June. So how is everyone doing? I have taken and posted 15 photos, and they are included in this PSE page with their prompts. The only off prompt one was Alberta Rose, and for that I used the Wacky Holidays site's prompt. June calendar page 1 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr The template looks great!

I take my tiny friend on walks with me on Weekend mornings. She eats Cheerios and usually yells at me about something in baby talk. I take photos of nature. Usually macro but I was too lazy for macro this weekend so I made her model.

Such gorgeous shots, ecvnj58 , msliz . sleepingbooty , and kellyr21 ! Way to get out there and enjoy the great outdoors. Love your card, nylene . And I can feel the quiet in your home. I bet it is with relief as well as with sadness that you experience it. Today, I took a photo of the indoors. Actually, this is for the Door prompt. Long before I was a scrapbooker, I tried my hand at ceramics. When my dd was little, I sanded, baked, and painted this little gnome cottage and a set of little freestanding--and sitting--gnomes. Needless to say, when I brought it home, my little girl fell in love with them. She liked to imagine going THROUGH that door and into their magical world. But she was not yet old enough to get her little hands on the set, so it went on the top of the bookcase in her room. The cottage and gnomes later came down to the top of her dresser, where they spent a lot of years. But, they are now on the top shelf of the bookcase again to keep her little guy's curious hands away from them. Anyway, here is the little cottage with its tiny door and a couple of the little people who supposedly lived in that house... Attachments:

betty, I love that osprey photo. So interesting to see him eating the fish. Great shot. LisaDV, just looking out the back of that boat makes my stomach nervous. I have such terrible seasickness. How did you daughter do? I love all those trees along your "path". grammadee, nice photo of your robin. We have several that live in our yard and I love to watch them. I love the page of all your photos. I wish I had someone who could come spend a day with me to teach me a little about digi scrapping. I'd still do mostly paper, but it would be nice to know how to do something else too. sleepingbooty, you are making me so jealous posting photos around the beautiful water. I know I couldn't go boating, but would love just sitting and looking. msliz, your photos are beautiful. Everything looks so pretty and green where you live. We are already having grasses turn brown. I have to tell you a funny about the purple allium(?). Mom had some of those and a neighbor was always telling her how much bigger, brighter, prettier her flowers were than mom's. Those purple flowers lose their color quite quickly in the season and are just brownish. One day my mom got an idea, and took some bright scarlet floral spray and painted her brown ones red. The neighbor was so irritated that she couldn't find where to get starts of the red ones. My mom was the kindest woman and was never vindictive...except this one time. She never did tell her! I always snicker when I see those flowers. ecvnj58, your tiny friend is adorable. What a beautiful area you were in. It looks so lush and green. Thanks for sharing. kellyr21, thank you for those lovely palm trees. I don't know why I am so fascinated by them, but I would look at all the different palms in Calif forever. You are so sweet to think of me. Things are so quiet here. I am still gathering up things that were left here and trying to get things back into normal shape in my house. Anj and family arrived home safely. I miss them all. It is almost too quiet here now. I am pretty much recovered today. Did a lot of Costco shopping and have been doing some needed cleaning. I am loving the Photo A Day, grammadee. I have done some of the prompts out of order, but I'm still plugging along. Love seeing all your photos!

grammadee, we were posting at the same time. I love your little gnome village! I did ceramics at one time too. I really enjoyed that. What a sweet keepsake for your DD.

Today's shots are gorgeous. kellyr21 Palm tree girls unite! Love seeing them although I'm lucky to be in a region where there are plenty of them. msliz So green! Everything around here is already dying away. The sudden heat has made all the water we had accumulated during the winter and surprisingly rainy spring evaporate, alas. Love seeing a lush garden right now! ecvnj58 Your beautiful photos remind me to make sure I take my camera out for the final stretch of this PhAD month. I've been using my phone camera far too much. Lovely composition. The large navy strip at the top of her T-shirt creates such a great contrasting cut through the taupe background. Very well positioned and captured! Congrats. nylene Your home does look serene, I agree with grammadee. I'm glad to hear you had some quiet time after the cardmaking (lovely Father's Day card, by the way). grammadee Ceramics too? You're such an accomplished crafter! Love these little woody creatures having found their forever home inside yours. Sleepy's pouty lips made me smile... I have fond memories of my mother reading the Will Huygen book about gnomes when I was little. Here's today's shot. Another one for the looking up prompt, I guess? Day 19 Every plane that passes above my head reminds me that my summer holiday is only weeks away. I'll be glad to escape the everyday for a while!

prompt 16 Play by Cindy Blair, on Flickr I have to say this has been such fun!

Great photos, everyone! 6. Door Went down to the gas station for ice cream cones and this Sandhill crane was trying to sneak in the door each time a customer went in or out. It was funny to watch but one man tried to smack it on the head.

So glad you and nylene liked the palm tree pics. I think they are fabulous too. scrapincin- Those do look like fun games.

Love your shot of the jet trail, sleepingbooty . The trail stands out so well across the sky, and that sunlight from the corner really makes this an awesome photo! I think family game night at your house would be a lot of fun, scrapincin ! That sand crane photo is really cool, betty . Wonder what he wanted to buy? Here is today's photo for me: Something Cool. I had a lot of errands to run today, and stopped at Dairy Queen for a cherry sundae before returning home. ETA: and again, the photo is tipped on its side. Weird. Doesn't look that way on my computer screen when I just pull up the photo, and it inserted upside up in the PSE page... Attachments:

kellyr21 ...I may or may not love singing out loud to youtube music... LOL ecvnj58 , your tiny friend is absolutely ADORABLE! sleepingbooty , your waterfront photos are lovely. I like the word "saily". 18. Him.. yep it is a "him" and his three other little piggy siblings came out of the grass and scattered around me on my walk this morning .. I was more worried about HER....mama pig! I knew she was nearby (and she did later show herself by crossing the trail). She is big and makes really scary noises each time I've seen her. I am absolutely terrified of those big feral hogs.

grammadee Safe travels! Have fun and take loads of pictures. betty You're our animal spotter! But why would anyone want to hurt that poor crane? It's just standing there, not understanding the human world, poor thing. Is it ok to ask whereabouts you live (sorry if I missed it)? You see so many wild animals up close. warrior1991 That's a proper shop, not a "warehouse in the basement" operation! I love how the ceiling lights and tyre tracks frame the picture. kellyr21 Ha! Now I have the song stuck in my head. You sly thing! Day 21 A snap of my side of the bed with my May-June reads. So relieved to have finally finished Kostas Axelos's thesis about Marx's work. It was probably my fourth (if not fifth) attempt. Phew! I've only just started the last of the pile, the translation of Jessica Mitford's Hons and Rebels, but I'm positive I will have read it by the end of the month. (Prompt n. 25 "Reflection")

I'm in central Florida, south of Orlando and Disney World. Lots of lakes, swamps and rural land around here for all of the wildlife.

scrapincin, we love to play games here. I've never heard of play nine though. grammadee, love that little gnome cottage. You are seriously talented. nylene, Love your card. I'm sure the quiet is bittersweet too. - DD did great that day and the next day (I left her patch on her until Monday), then she got can't even get out of bed sick on Tuesday. Yesterday was a bit better, but still not great. Hoping today will be the all better (well, all better for her) day. So between chores, I sit with her. I wish I had a laptop other than a desktop at times like those. betty, your crane photo/story is so cool. I probably would have hit the guy trying to hit the bird though. I also like seeing the pig photo, but I would be more than a bit nervous to have feral pigs that close. sleepingbooty, I love the lion that sets on top of your books!!! kellyr21, Great song! warrior1991, I would look forward to them leaving every day for the peace. Enjoying all the photos.

sleepingbooty, that looks like some heavy reading, but I love that lion! Your plane photo is beautiful. Are you going somewhere fun for holiday? scrapincin, those games look like fun. We love playing games with all the kids here. DH is not much of a game player when it's just the 2 of us. betty, I can't believe someone would be mean to that crane! Now, I'd be nervous around the mama feral pig! Great photos. warrior1991, I'll bet that's the only time that shop is quiet...when everyone has left! kellyr21, great photo for music! I had to pull some up and listen a while. grammadee, I have a DQ on the corner of our block. It is new and now I want to try their sundaes! I haven't downloaded my photos yet, but will try to get to it today. I'm loving all the interesting things I'm learning.

Him -Bronze Golfer by Nylene Budge, on Flickr - This is a gift from our DS to his Dad. The base is a beautiful geode and the bronze was made by our DS's friend. Cold Milk Nickels by Nylene Budge, on Flickr - When we were kids we called these Milk Nickels and that's what they cost WAY back then. Yum Hot Fudge Sundaes by Nylene Budge, on Flickr- We hit DQ on our way home and bought these. 0ld Chinese Counting Man by Nylene Budge, on Flickr -This sat on the floor at DH's home for years. It is at least 70 years old and now sits at our home. The interesting thing is that the very young grandchildren always put things in his hand. We never know what he will be holding when there are young children in the house. He's been repaired many times, but is still a favorite. Seems like all of you find beautiful, scenery to photograph. I seem to wait til the end of the day and then have to find something inside to take a photo of. Not great photos, but I'm remembering to take the photos. My prompts left are:Hat, Something Sweet, Reflection, In Your Hands, In the rain, Shadow and Looking back. Save

nylene..you are making me crave ice cream! Great photos! and LOL @ putting things in the hand of the counting man. I can just imagine the randoms things you might find. 16. Play.. or go fetch! Tonight I had a half hour to kill before picking up dd at the mall so I watched sunset at the lakefront park. I thought this gator (about 4 feet long) was eating a little turtle. Nope, he's trying to play ball!

@elaynef , I hate big winds. I can take lots and lots of snow, but big winds terrify me. I'm glad you didn't have major damage. I'm sure that downed tree can be cut up and hauled away. Nice that it fell where it didn't smash a house or car...or person. betty , your photos are great. I love the steampunk hat. BTW, I went in and showed my husband the photo of that huge monster with the ball in his mouth. He was really impressed. When I told him you said he ate the dog and held on to the ball for a souvenir like a serial killer, I thought he was going to roll off the couch laughing. You made his day!
