I turn mine on most of the time. But sometimes if the skies are super clear I have trouble reading my dash instruments because they dim when the headlights are on. So I turn them off to better read my dashboard. This was happening to me, too, but I found that I have the ability to turn my dashboard lights up higher, and so I did that and it wasn't an issue for me anymore.

Yes, my daytime running lights are always on and switch over automatically as conditions warrant.

I never think of it when it is light out, unless it is foggy or my wipers are on.

My are set at auto. Just like the other posters the daytime running lights come on when I start the car and headlights come on with the light sensor. I never think about hem. There have been instances when I've gotten the vehicle serviced and the tech has turned the auto feature off. Took me a minute to realize why everything was so dark.

Yes. Things like a foggy patch, sudden rain, approaching dusk, construction areas, etc. These are all situations in which your lights may not help you see any better, but they help others to see you, which is obviously extremely important. ^^^^ Yes! Lights on your car are as much about helping others see you as they are about helping you see the road. My Honda Odyssey has daytime running lights that are always on and then my regular headlights are automatic and come on at dusk.

Sometimes- especially when driving on the highway/freeway. Not so I can see, but so others can see me.

Mine are automatic; they are always on. Ditto this^^^ Mine are also automatic. They have the daytime running lights and then when it starts getting dark, the regular headlights/taillights automatically come on. I can switch them so that I can control it but I don't see the point. And I Ditto this!

I have a 2008 car with an automatic setting - they come one when needed by themselves. I rarely feel the need to turn them on any other time. They come on really good during inclement weather on their own.

I do not have daytime running lights, but I do have automatic lights. I like that feature! If they aren't coming on soon enough for me or we have inclement weather I will go ahead and turn them on manually. They stay on all the time if they are on the manual setting. They turn off when the motor is turned off so I don't have to worry about the battery dying. I sometimes go for days and days without putting them back on auto after a rainstorm because I forget they aren't on automatic. I guess it's not a big deal to forget!

Come on automatic on my Corolla. Actually the only cars I see with out light on are cars that are pretty old. I was very surprised that my 2011 doesn't have daytime running lights. It does have an auto setting, although I prefer to turn them on myself-- they don't always come on soon enough at twilight.

Mine are set on automatic; they are always on. Same with mine, I have them set that way. They only turn off when my car is off and I lock the doors.

Mine are on every time I drive, day or night; my car is old so I have to turn them on myself, LOL. Now it's just a habit. I used to monitor traffic collision statistics and daytime headlight use was proven to reduce collisions. I drive on curvy 2-lane roads a lot and figure every little bit helps.

Mine are auto also. I think most newer vehicles have auto day lights. My car is a 2004 model, and I know most new cars we looked at then had day running lights.

Dh's ford f150, my former 2003 toyota corolla, my parents former 2004 camry, their current 2014 accord, and my 2014 sienna all have day time running lights. Now on the corolla you cold not turn it off and I know on bases that is a big no no. My sienna has an off option.
But yea I always have the dtrl option on.

Daytime running lights are always on. Also keep the headlights on the auto setting so that I don't have to worry about forgetting to turn them on or off.

We have two cars. One of them has lights that turn on when you start the car. The other you have to do it yourself. I would not turn on the headlights during the day if the weather was okay.

Mine are also set to auto so not only do I not have to turn them on, I don't have to turn them off. I used to be really bad about turning them on in say, a parking garage, and then forgetting to turn them off and my battery being run down when I went back out.
