If you were to really examine the reasons why you "don't care" for Oprah where would the dislike stem from though? I would love for everyone who hates Oprah to write one simple emotionless reason why. Try it. Beyonce doesn't have any behaviors that would set her apart from any other celebrities. Yet you'd think she was the only one by reading here. No vain celebrity before her. Start a thread about professional tennis and you'd get the same thing. When Tiger Woods won the Masters they tried to bring him down to size with the collard green and watermelon jokes. Why? White people don't like to see black people dominate things. Simone Biles just got called "trash" and told she wasn't a good role model for excessive vacationing. Why? White people think we should work like dogs and aren't comfortable with black joy. Really? I am a white person and I think the Williams sisters are awesome and have done great things for tennis, despite not being treated very well at times by the tennis community. Other than one Serena meltdown for which she was appropriately sanctioned, I think they have comported themselves with grace and dignity. It troubles me that you often accuse us of making generalizations, yet you do the same. I like Oprah, I hate Beyoncé's music, but I also hate country music. I hate Beyoncé's photo because I'm a photographer, and I want to see the babies against a backdrop that doesn't compete with their fresh beauty. Yes, the world is full of racist assholes, but it really sucks to be lumped in with them because of my skin color. I leave room for people who aren't racist. But could we be real and acknowledge how few of you there actually are? Ive asked countless times here where did all the racists go?

I could not care less about Beyonce, Jayzee and their offspring. I don't understand why the fact that they reproduced again was newsworthy enough to make its way to my local news broadcast. I don't understand why she is held up as a feminist icon. I feel like an old lady, standing on my porch, shaking my fist at the sky and shouting "get off my lawn!" whenever this subject comes up.

So are non-blacks required to love everything black people do so that we won't be accused of being racist? That's what it feels like with you. I hate Madonna but I have to admit that I like Cher's campiness. For the record, I hate most pop music. I find it inane and awful. But no one is talking about Madonna or Cher because they aren't doing photo shoots with their newborns and selling them to news outlets and tabloids. I'm not going to let you bait me into an argument of why I am racist and how awful every woman here is. I enjoy some of your posts, but you've decided that we are all terrible people and nothing will change your mind. So I am not going to waste my energy or time.

There are some theories out there that the celebrities are using "fake" names to give out to the public and copyrighting them "just for appearance".
Kim Kardashian's kids names, Gwynetth Paltrow's kids names, Beyonce's kids names = all seem to be unusual or a name more commonly used for other things. Apple, Saint, North, etc.
Perhaps they have their "real names" disguised with these fake names so in the future they can decide to have more privacy or not. Or...when a trust is filed involving all their zillions, a legal name can be used and not associated with them?
I remember when Michael Jackson named his kid Blanket - come on....that is real?
Disclaimer: this is just for fun, I have no idea if its true, but could definitely see why it may be with all the celebrity stalkers out there.

Talk about trying to derail a thread. Good grief. On topic: I just don't get it, but to each their own, I guess (regarding the picture). As for the baby names... That's all I've got.

Beyonce hatin' gets me all het up. Seriously. No one here can provide a single reason why she should be called a narcissist or accused of using her babies as props. Celebrity hate threads are so ridiculous in most every instance. Tell me exactly how many times you've seen a photo of Blu Ivy and then get back to me about how she uses her kids as props. Tell me one instance of her behavior that could lead any sensible person to state that she's a narcissist and a drama queen. You can't, period. She mainly just performs and lives her life. She's very low-key considering how hugely famous she is. She's a performer, it's natural for her WORK to be dramatic. But I don't see her doing anything controversial (except that one time when white people got mad because she remembered she was black and protested police shootings), I've never seen her labia, and she's never been photographed doing anything negative. Ugghh Olan you're wrong when you say white people are uncomfortable with black joy. White people are largely ONLY comfortable with black joy. It's the anger that's harder to deal with, and the reasons why. For the record I truly don't believe anyone here doesn't like Bey just because she's black. No celebrity is ever safe here from unkind judgmental uninformed comments, no matter what. The Biebs and Britney used to get roasted constantly. Used to drive me insane.

Z*g, That's your opinion, but I have no idea why you get all mad because some of us are not a fawning fans of hers. I don't go around posting Beyonce hate anywhere.
Mostly I don't think about her at all. Except get annoyed at her stupid, attacking rabid fans called they call the Beehive. And the over the top photos over self looking like she's a diety. That bugs me.

Beyonce hate . No, I don't like her, don't listen to her music, don't like her kids names, and her photos are ridiculously over the top. No, I don't hate her, but I don't care for her, and I am welcome to express my opinion. I don't care for Oprah, either. Kudos her for making her life what it is, but that doesn't mean I have to like her. If you were to really examine the reasons why you "don't care" for Oprah where would the dislike stem from though? I would love for everyone who hates Oprah to write one simple emotionless reason why. Try it. Beyonce doesn't have any behaviors that would set her apart from any other celebrities. Simone Biles just got called "trash" and told she wasn't a good role model for excessive vacationing. Why? White people think we should work like dogs and aren't comfortable with black joy. You're absolutely ridiculous. But I'll accept your challenge in the attempt that I can broaden your horizons a bit. I don't hate Oprah. I don't know anyone that truly hates her. I do know people like myself that dislike her. Her is my non-emotional reason why. When Oprah was in her prime on her talk show, she came across as being too full of herself. Mainly, when she would have an expert on her show, for whatever topic they were discussing, she would often cut off what he was saying. Not for a commercial break or in the sake of time, but so she could add something she had learned on her own or to contradict what was being said. Maybe she was trying to make the topic more relevant to her audience. Maybe she was excited to show off that she had done some prior research. Maybe she wasn't impressed with the "expert" her producers chose and wanted to show a different side of the story. I don't know. But it was disrespectful. And when it continued time after time, it became annoying enough that I stopped watching. It also annoyed me when she forgot her who her audience was and would make recommendations that would never work for the average person. One example I remember clearly was when she had someone on and the topic of bed sheet laundering frequency came up. Maybe he was a microbiologist discussing germs in the home. Can't remember. Oprah stated that she had fresh linens on her bed every day. Expert said that most people do not have the means to hire staff to make that happen so for the rest of the world, XYZ was recommended.

Historically and present day. You come across as a very hostile person. Are there still racists in this world - absolutely - and they are of all races. Do do I like the picture - it's meh to me. Don't like it but don't dislike. On on the other hand - if I was B I'd be taking that picture. It fits her image, style and personality - it suits her and she looks fantastic. Hard to believe she had twins a month ago. Just because someone doesn't like the picture doesn't mean they are racist. It means they don't like the picture.

I don't think I'm ever over the top mean about any HW, other than to discuss their actual filmed behavior and comments. You can correct me if I'm wrong but that to me is completely different than calling a celebrity a narcissistic fame whore drama queen who uses her kids as props based solely upon some baby pictures and maybe gossip rags. The husbands though, no holds barred...I'll admit to calling David gray and Jim Bellino a sweaty beast who makes me think of nasty amateur porn. Like he was going to bend poor Alexis over the grill and start sweating all over her while he filmed it with his iPhone. Blecccch I think it goes without saying that I don't expect anyone to be "fawning" over her, but I'd like to hear at least one VALID criticism of her, like, her last album wasn't to my taste or her fashion line looks like it's a crafty outlet for her mother's wildest dreams. I never do. Just nasty uncalled-for comments. And I don't have a problem with anyone saying they don't like her...It's the WHY I have a problem with. So many attractive women get totally reamed at this place. ETA I've spent a lot more time defending HW from internet gossip than I ever have critiquing. Especially my girl Tre.

I don't care for divas. I much prefer down-to-Earth humble-pie type people. This goes for celebrities and regular folk. I do give passes to some, however. I disliked Cher until I watched Silkwood. She redeemed herself then.
