Adorable babies. I like the name Rumi, but... sir? why would you do that? EVERY adult male is called Sir <Lastname> in normal daily interaction with the world. It's essentially depriving the child of an actual first name :-\

How do you trademark a child's name?

The pictures are awesome, in that worst way possible. I didn't know I should have had a pregnancy theme (Nevermind, I think I did have a pregnancy theme for my photos. I call it "bloated acne.") I think Rumi is cute but Sir Carter kind of confuses me. Isn't their last name Carter? Or is his first name just "Sir"?

The name Sir is just as stupid on Kimye's Saint and North and numerous other dumb celebrity baby names.
Kids are cute though.

The isnt their last name Carter? Or is his first name just "Sir"? That was my thought too. I don't dislike the name Rumi but I can't get a big skirt out of my head! You know, this skirt's a bit Roomy, sort of thing.

I kind of like Rumi.

I think she looks pretty in the dress with the babies.
The flowers behind them compete with flowers on the dress, but I get that they were going for an extension of the pregnancy photo by using the same background.

I don't hate Beyoncé. She's very talented and has a great voice. But Sir is an awful name and the photo is about her and not the babies. You can barely see them.

The Beyoncé hate cracks me up. All the Oprah "haters" have now had offspring! You mean in general or in this thread? I don't see any haters here. People voicing an opinion, yes, but they are all pretty mild and no hate imo. I like Beyonce. I'm probably too old to know much of her music but I like what I do know and I think she's talented and pretty. My all time favourite "performance" of hers was her singing Halo in a hospital ward.

The name "Rumi" makes me think of the word "ruminate" which is what cows do (it means to chew the cud).

The photo is very Bey-centric she is giving the fans what they want and probably making some wise mama choices. If she had showcased the faces someone would have called them ugly. Also why can't the photo be all about the woman who just gave life to two humans? I mean even I wanted the first view to be those squishy baby twin photos but that's not the one she wanted to share with the world. Doesn't mean it's not captured though. I don't like either of the names but I haven't birthed anything lately so. Celebrities have been naming their kids weird shit since the beginning of time because they have the money. I am assuming they got patents because they want to protect the brand of these recently born super stars haha *shrugs* In case they want to share the spotlight someday. Which is pretty likely given their lineage. Auntie Solange, Mama Bey, Daddy Sean, Grandma Tina etc. Jay Z has a new album where he talks about creating a legacy for his children and what he hopes they will do with the notoriety.

Not to start the litany of silly names we've known (please no orangello/lemonjello, folks, it didn't happen) - but my school apparently had a Sir Teagan before I got there. Older sister was Miss Teresa. The youngest, who I had last year, had a perfectly normal name with no strange honorific before it. I guess mom came to her senses.

She and the babies are beautiful, but dang, that photo looks like Anne Geddes threw up on it.

Rumi is also the name of a surgical instrument used to manipulate the uterus during laparoscopic procedures. I think if people want to name their children something unique the should do a little Google research on the name first, but that's just me. Cute babies though .
