Jen Chapin was at the DD Prep Party. She was signed up for the March Story Camp, but sold her spot. Guess she's going to the fall one now. Thanks for clarifying. Those events run together!

Thoughts on the kit today? I didn't order any add-ons. Nothing excited me. I love the puffy stickers add-on for the SBTM and am splitting them with a local friend (it comes with two identical sheets).
For the pieces stamp, I really love it. The last few months have definitely had an improvement in the stamps. I really like when there are some images/icons as opposed to just text and I love the "love" to layer and the outlined writing. I don't think the numbers were necessary, they have been included on SO MANY of the stamps, but the stamp set is full and I like that they utilized every bit of space (I had noticed a few months back that some of them had been pretty sparse).
For the pieces kit, the colors aren't really speaking to me, but I appreciate the change and that Ali doesn't use the same color schemes over and over. I think I like lots of the cards, but I haven't watched the video yet so I can't see them closely. I am not a fan of the chipboard words because those are so hard to store/dig through that I have trouble using them up. I also am not a fan of paper die cuts because they aren't detailed designs and I can do the same with my print/cut function on the silhouette. I appreciate that the chipboard words didn't "count" as this month's chipboard (I can never have enough chipboard!) and I really like the fabric hearts and love that they have made it into the regular "rotation" of embellishments, although these are my least favorite colors to date.
I am going to get the two sets of plain journal cards because we requested those here and they specifically listened to us in creating them. I am hopeful that they are the same color/weight as the printed cards so I can use them to create cards with the stamps that coordinate (I hate when the whites don't match!). I do think they are a little overpriced though and would've preferred to purchase them in a larger pack (e.g. 50 cards) but I guess that would just highlight the mark-up.

Thoughts on the kit today? I didn't order any add-ons. Nothing excited me. I actually forgot today was the reveal day until I saw your post. I'm glad I canceled my story kit and story stamp set. The colors are blah and I don't care for a lot of the designs. The markup for the plain cards is outrageous - $0.41 for each 4x6 card and $0.33 for each 3x4 card. I'm better off using the plain back sides of cards I don't like. For the SBTM kit, I don't need any of the add ons (although I do like the star card in the journal card add on, but I can make that myself).

Thoughts on the kit today? I didn't order any add-ons. Nothing excited me. Big ole MEH from me. I sub to the SBTM kit, just riding it out for a couple more months. It's far to similar to last years. I don't care for those super pastel colors. Also not a fan of the 4x6 card with name of the month and "stories". Doesn't work for me. The Pieces kit looks nice. I don't sub and wouldn't pick it up unless it's on great sale. Add ons are ho hum. The cost of the blank journal cards is outrageous. Just wow.

I am glad I stopped my SBTM kit. I don’t like this one at all. I like the green color, but I don’t like the stamp set at all and none of the cards interest me. I was worried I might miss it, but I certainly don’t this month. There a few pieces of the cb I like, but only about half of them.
The story kit I actually like better, except for the 70’s goldenrod color. I really like the fabric hearts and the die cuts. I don’t sub to that and certainly won’t be buying it, but I will say I like most of that kit.

Thoughts on the kit today? I didn't order any add-ons. Nothing excited me. I think it's my favorite kit in a long time. I love the colors, they are the muted tones I love to use in my PL album. I wish more kits were this basic in terms of color options. They will flatter my photos. 1. I don't love the "fridge words" or whatever she called them. There is a LOT of them and I don't see myself even taking them out of the bag. I also don't understand why they are blue instead of black like the rest of the kit.
2. Still a lot of WORDS on all the cards. Would like to see about half the quote and writing replaced with pattern and lined cards. I guess she doesn't realize everyone isn't as into deep quotes as she is. It just doesn't fit in my albums and isn't "me".
3. I also love the fabric hearts! My favorite this month is the broken heart journal cards. I will use those.

I canceled my subscription after "Habits," but I like the color scheme for Pieces (not the elements/designs)Exactly the same here: I love the colour scheme, especially that red-toned cognac shade, but don't care for the designs besides the "some pieces of my heart" card.
The cost of the blank journal cards is outrageous. My eyebrows defied gravity when I saw the price for 12 blank cards. Ridiculously expensive.
Anyhoo, if it weren't for this thread, I wouldn't even remember today's release day. I feel so far away from the AE universe since I unsubbed from SbtM.

I'm hoping that KP picks up a color scheme like this in Autumn. I could use this in my life! Actually, I may just make my own kit from the colors.

I love this kit & the stamp. I actually like the colors. Swooning over the felt hearts...wish those were an add on, so I could buy more.I feel like the add ons could be easily replicated and not worth the price. I put the heart add on in my cart but may change my mind.
I also wish she would ease up on all the quote cards. One per kit is more than enough imo. I was considering stopping my story kit sub but this one is making me rethink it.

I’m very happy I canceled my SBTM in January. It’s very repetitive to last year.

I like this kit and will be getting it. I love the color scheme. I DONT understand the blue words though? What project were they left over from? I love the fabric hearts, The number stickers feel random since there are numbers in chipboard and a card has numbers on it. Also:? The number stickers are not included with the digital kit.
The story stamp is better than most of her stamps, IMHO. Not buying it, but its not bad either.
The SOTM kit is ok. I like the green color and the coral color. What I don't understand is why there is a chipboard that says 'March Stories' when there is already a card that says that? She couldn't find anything else to put in that chipboard spot?
Add-ons: they are pricey (and honestly? uninspiring). The blank cards are good - but pricey. 12 4x6 for $4.99 or 12 3x4 for $3.99. Its a better deal to get the 4x6 and just cut them down.

I like the stamp for this month's SBTM kit but not really digging the kit as a whole. I'm just proud of myself that I actually got to check out the add-ons and have the option to add some to my cart before they were sold out. Didn't want any, but nice to finally get the time right!

I'm still waiting on my Habit stamp! Not ready for this release! I'm not getting the stamp set but hope it will be more clear from the classroom content.

Like the color scheme, the theme isn't great for me. Like the SBTM colors.
BUT, is she really selling 2 12x12 white papers (cut up) for $4.99?

Love the color scheme for Pieces, and I even like a lot of the cards. But do not a fan of magnetic poetry or the tons of quotes. I also think the plain white 4x6 cards add on is super weird. People actually asked for that? Can’t they cut white cardstock themselves?

I had to do a M2M sub for this kit, I love those colors and can think of so many stories to tell with the kit. The colors remind me of a more muted version of Fancy Pants Golden Days lone, which is one of my favorite lines of all time. Life Emporium by Theresa Collins also had that palette, and I loved that one too.
I’m also looking forward to the Design Kit, so I’ll stick around for that.

I really like this kit. I love the colors, the chipboard, the felt hearts, pretty much everything. But do I want to pay $25 for it? I would love to have access to the classroom content and that is the only reason I would pay $25 -- otherwise I would wait until her sales... I bought the HABIT kit in digital format and have already put it to use but I was disappointed with the class room content for that kit. Decisions, decisions....

I bought the HABIT kit in digital format and have already put it to use but I was disappointed with the class room content for that kit. I really found the habit kit inspiring but I thought the class content was pretty on par with what it's been for the past few years--not amazing but not a waste either. There is usually one out of the four projects that Ali creates that I have no connection to at all, and the Habit kit was not an exception, but I still enjoyed the process videos and completely copied one of the techniques Ali used. I'm curious what you found disappointing with it? IMO, I think where the classroom content is really lacking lately is with the guest designers. In the beginning Ali used to get big names (e.g. Kelly Purkey, Cathy Zieklse, Amy Tan, Jamaica Edgell) to provide the guest content and they often provided novel ideas, process videos, exclusive projects and other perks (e.g. digital template). The past year or so she has just had her creative team providing the guest content, one month it was even just a round up of creative team projects. While I do really like a lot of the people on her creative team, I really appreciated the fresh designers each month. Additionally, many of the creative team members don't provide process videos or other perks besides just photos of the completed project and they often share their guest project elsewhere--such as on their instagram or youtube channel--so it's not exclusive and as such doesn't add to the value of the class, IMO. I really hope she expands her guest designers again.

I like the kit and love the colors...but I would save them for fall projects. I know the story kits aren't seasonal, that's what SBTM is for, but still seems like a strange (lovely, but strange) choice for March kit.
Sorry if this was already discussed, but were anyone else's January SBTM cards cut really badly? Like a really dull blade was used, leaving tons of fuzzy stuff around the edges. I just opened mine today, lol, and found this. Was a little surprised because the quality has actually been good lately.

I did like Ali's content (and also copied one of her techniques as well) but disappointed with the guest designers. And I don't like it when there are no videos either. So I 100% agree with your comments.

Thoughts on the kit today? I didn't order any add-ons. Nothing excited me. I ordered the 3 x 8 page protectors since I do have a 3 x 8 notepad of Ali's. I realized only after that I should have ordered more than one set! I also ordered the pieces puzzle set. I love that kind of stuff! I was worried that everything would be sold out by the time I was able to get online. Doesn't help that I am in Hawai'i and that makes me automatically "behind" everyone else, but I managed to get what I wanted. Yay!

AE classes are 40% off. Anything worth taking at the reduced prices? I have only taken Storytelling with December Daily. Maybe Hybrid or Lens of Joy?
