I have purchased, but not taken hybrid. I have loved every class I have ever taken of Ali's though. Cathy Z also has a digi basics class and I recommend that one too.

I signed up for the Hybrid class during this sale period, although I do consider myself to be fairly capable of working with digital elements and supplies. The first few lessons I skipped through pretty quickly but on lesson 4 I'm already picking up some new tips and inspiration. So yes, I would recommend it at this point

One Little Word order placed.
I got the main kit, 3x4 transparency cards, large shipping tags, sticker bundle & 6x8 transparency dividers. I didn't pick up an album because the albums she comes out with for OLW are often too narrow for me, so I picked up one of the story albums on black Friday to use.
I like the offerings this year, although I'm a little annoyed the main kit didn't come with the monthly transparency dividers like it did last year since those are pretty much a staple. I have followed Ali's format the last three years for my OLW 6x8 album and am getting a little bored with it, so I think I'm going to break away from the format she uses and include more memories in mine in addition to the prompts (and maybe include some of the prompts in a notebook instead with my class notes). I'm excited for my new approach idea & hope that it works out well for me.
My word for 2018 is "grow".
I'm not getting an acrylic word because my word is in a story kit for 2018 so I'll get one at that time. I like the look of the gold plated necklaces she came out with this year, but $100? That's a bit steep.
ETA: Not thrilled the price of the class was increased this year quite a bit. Pretty much all you're paying for after the first year is the reminder to participate and access to the group. I really hope for the increased price she comes out with some new prompts. I get the whole idea that using the same prompt is still useful & interesting, but I could just replay an old class if that's all I'm getting...

I went back in my order history and the class price and early discount is the same as 2017’s class. ETA: also, the price of the class does include the digital main kit.

I’ve decided to use my stash for my OLW. I’m debating if I want to order the 2018 class or just following along with last year’s class again.
Planning on just doing a notebook, not a full pocket page album.

Oh thanks, for some odd reason I thought it was less. I guess I just value it less because of all the repeated content? I do know the digital kit comes with the class but I doubt I will use it and I'm buying the physical kit, so I really don't think it adds any value.

It is US$10 to order just the one word as an international or am I reading this wrong? Seems expensive.

Just simulated and it does say that each acrylic word or necklace is a separate order. So, it's $10 in shipping for just the acrylic word for internationals. Even the small word. Crazy.

I'm sorry but I'm there looking and she has those Avery file tabs listed as "one little word tabs". Christ on a cracker how many different ways is she going to sell this product? You can get them at Walmart for crying out loud.

How very extra of you because side by side, they are the exact same product. What you've really done is paid to have them branded ali Edwards. Just because it says it's new does not make it new v we've been using these tabs for over ten years.

We changed the size a bit and the sturdiness/weight of the plastic to reflect changes we wanted to see in them. A lot of International people are unable to buy Avery products so we brought this option to them to keep them in stock in the shop for them.

I got my goodies and was able to get all the items that I wanted. I had a shipping glitch that customer service was able to help me with via chat. I was so excited to get my goodies ordered that I forgot to order the class lol...so I had to place a second order.
I picked up the main kit take action stamp set one day at a time stamp set the in progress and the story note pads the sticker bundle
I am going to continue mine in an 8 1/2 by 11 album so I did not get an album or any of the 6x8 stuff.
My word for next year is home, and that is a story theme for next year so I did not pick up one of the acrylic words. I normally order a bracelet of my word from ETSY but may choose something for my home next year instead.

I ordered page protectors for my Jamaica Makes 3x8 clear album as well as the 2016 OLW mini kit and the variety pack of stickers that was on sale as well. I'm taking a very relaxed approach in terms of buying product, especially since I might get the January Story Kit ('Change') for my OLW album.
Feedback about the yearly workshop? Does anyone who took it this year want to give me their opinion about it? How does it mould to fit everyone's individual word?

sleepingbooty... I am obviously a fan... but I will offer my perspective. I have done OLW several years in a row now. For me (a US resident) the class is fairly inexpensive> I enjoy her videos. IF I did not enjoy her videos I might feel differently. The prompts are often the same or similar every year, with some different ones thrown in from time to time. The videos are new each year, even if the prompt is one that is the same in a past year. She chooses a word/does the project along w/ us throughout the year. The prompts are very open ended, and you can make it your own based on your own needs/likes/your word. I normally do not purchase as much product as I did this year, I usually use things from my stash which is totally welcomed in the class. I think the class is a nudge each month to remember my word.

I've never done OLW. Actually, I've never seen a completed OLW album. paperamy and teacherlisa, what do you put in the album? Is it just a journal? Or are there photos also? I'm intrigued...

scrappymom...I'd go to her website and look for some videos...Ali explains it better than I. I will tell you from my perspective however. So, each year you choose a word that you would like to make a part of your life. In the past I have chosen things like brave, move and begin. Each month there is a different prompt. Some prompts involve photos. Some involve writing. Some involve both. As an example, my 100% favorite prompt is making a playlist for my word, and then documenting that somehow. One year I compiled photos of all the album labels. One year I used messy media style and chose my favorite line from the song. One year I took a photo of why that song in particular made my playlist. Each month you have a reminder to invite your word back into your life. The prompts are not earth shattering or life changing on their own, and can usually be done in a short amount of time. The life changing part comes when the year is out and you can look back on all the ways your word has impacted you. Multiply that times multiple years and it really is amazing.

Are the puffy stickers the new never been offered before product Ali mentioned on IG this week? Or did she mean the whole release? I must admit that when I read this, I thought it would be a totally new, never seen before product - and as much as I love what's included esp the colors - its not "new" to me. Did anyone else misread this announcement? http://instagram.com/p/BcTA_nqFmCC
