katiejaeger could you give us a tutorial on how to add to our box? We can see the addons but no way to add them to the box? We can't even see our box....

I was up when it went live and looked at it again this morning when I got up. I was really on the fence but opted not to sign up. I don't want the stamps. I'm not a stamper and while I could have sold them, I probably wouldn't have and then it just seemed like not a good idea.
I'd like a great monthly kit without stamps. I know I'm in the minority.

Hi ladies. I'm so nerve wracked to look (I quit Story Kits/Stamp cold turkey after Jan 2017, with a minor relapse in spring for a month...) Where are you seeing the stories by the month kits for the year, I only see Jan kit? Am I misunderstanding? I figured it out- aliedwards.com/shop/monthly-digital-kitsI didn't realize it was the digital kits offered throughout 2017.  |

right now, january is the only one available. You can see the months kits in the digital monthly releases. The monthly digital products will be released in the physical stories by the month kits.

I know everyone is all excited about the SotM kit (is that we're calling it?) but I just got my one little word order.
First, the post office said it was delivered Tuesday and it didn't show up until this morning and it smelled like it was stuck in a very small room while someone chain smoked for 24-hours....seriously I had a coughing fit when I opened the box! I think the products are mostly okay now...I'm guessing that has more to do with the post office's mysterious gap in time with my package than Ali/Inked, but still... odd and annoying.
As far as the products go... I love most of the things! I'm super excited to start this project. I just have one serious complaint/concern... did anyone else get the sticker pack? It is supposed to have 10 sheets of stickers (5 different designs, 2 of each design). The designs are all there as advertised except the ones that are labels seem to be oddly printed??!? The rest are on the slightly glossy paper that Ali's stickers always come on... the label ones... seem to be printed on economy avery print-at-home sticker paper??? They are super cheap looking, rough and SUPER thin. Like I got proofs or something!?!? Are any one else's this way? Were they supposed to be printed differently from the rest?? I guess they are useable, but I could've printed them at home and had better quality so pretty annoyed...

mom when you go to your subscription page, you should be able to see your box to the right. Here's what my screen looks like. I have all 3 subs, so I can switch between them and they all show up in the same box (I don't think they're shipping that way though according to what Ali said). If you want an add-on, you just add it to your box and it should show up there. You can see I've added two add-ons (they were from the story kit, none of the SbtM sub, but it would be the same). Once you've added them, you're done. There is no check out process (this was really confusing in the beginning!) Whatever is "in your box" on the 15th is what you end up getting--that's when you'll be charged and it will ship shortly afterwards, up until then you can add/remove items from your box as you want. I'm not sure if the timeline is different for the SbtM sub, but it seems to be the same from what my screen looks like.  SaveSaveSaveSave

ETA: I think you probably need to contact customer service because I'm guessing they have computer glitches. I can add a screen shot of the add-ons for this month so you can see the options. Looks like I missed some phantom sub drama while I was at work all day. My subscription appears to have gone through just fine. I immediately checked my Orders & Subs to make sure it had been taken into account. It showed up as active so I didn't worry about not getting a confirmation by email... I'm glad I woke up extra early to catch this one. Does anyone know around which time it ended up selling out? mom @millefeuilles Are your troubles sorted now? It sold out around 3pm my time, 4pm your time which I make about 7am Pacific time. This kills me. I was awake and forgot about it! |

SaveSaveI dont have anything that says subscriptions under that menu. I can see my subscription on my account page (it shows all my old subs and orders). SaveSaveI think the problem is with the people who aren’t already Story Kit subscribers, like yourself. For those of use that have a Story subscription, we have the section that lasteve is mentioning. Since you don’t, mom, it appears to be an issue with the way the website is handling these new subscriptions. Hopefully Katie will help... |

So I’m loving the For the Love Story Kit for December. Loving everything in the kit...the cards, the clear phrase stickers, even the heart notepad. The stamp set is perfect as well, except the one phrase about sound of footprints (I don’t see myself using this more than once, if at all)
Overall, I’m extremely pleased with this month.

mom , I think you're going to have to contact customer service. Although, it might be a bug that's affecting others... when I first signed up mine changed to say "my subscriptions" but now it shows just my old subs. Fortunately, when I click into either of them I can choose any of my 3 subs across the top to see the add-ons. I'm guessing that if I didn't have the existing subs, I wouldn't be able to get to that page either. I could share my link with you, but I think it's customer specific because when I looked at it, it had a large number at the end.  SaveSave

mom I see the same as yours. I also don't have any subs....I don't want to add any add ons so happy to wait it out, assuming that once the sub starts, Feb will work properly.

My page is the same as mom's. I've never subbed to a kit with AE or SC. it shows my sub is active as of 12/12/2017.

For me this is a move that proves Ali does care about giving everyone the opportunity to tell their story. I know that sounds a bit fluffy and first world problems but bare with me. Memory keeping and buying these supplies is not a human right but I feel like Ali has always been great at empowering those who don’t feel good enough or think they don’t have stories worth telling. That says something about her. Ali has something that makes her special and it’s why so many people pine after her products. The price of scrapbooking supplies seems to just be going up and up and I can’t drop $40 a month plus international shipping on a single kit. But I do want the good quality supplies to help me tell my story. I started to doubt Ali and her intentions when the crazy price chipboard appeared. This kit at the more reasonable and affordable price says to me that Ali wants everyone to have the chance to document their story with her supplies that help us tell our stories. You don’t have to have mega amounts of disposable income in the bank to be part of her community and learn from her. It makes her seem less like she’s in some sort of elitist club that only those with money to buy the - in my opinion - overpriced story kits have access to. She is not a charity case and I get that this is business but I struggle to see the two connecting when someone tries to be so personal and relatable but then they’re charging through the roof for their products. I feel like this is the most pretentious post I’ve ever written. I don’t mean it to sound that way. Maybe the ‘craft your story’ wool has been pulled well and truly over my eyes and I’m starting to become brainwashed. But I think this was a good move for Ali. I am gonna go back to the SC thread and talk about AF’s bad business practices to balance it out. I want to like this 100 times. It's spot on in my opinion. SaveSave |
