I snagged the patch and the stamp set before they sold out. I’m just going to integrate this project into my OLW album like I did last year.

Nothing for me. I did the art of noticing last year and just printed out the digital file and put it in a 6x8. I use travelers notebooks as a temporary place to put thoughts but prefer things in a completed album.

I really enjoyed Ali’s Friday video today. Her spark and enthusiasm shined through. When Ali’s inspired, it really comes across and inspires me too. So glad to this.

I was just coming to write the same thing, she was so joyful and free in that video. It’s been a long week here, it was a good pick me up going into the weekend. I’m invigorated to tell some stories.

I've been enjoying these videos even though I am not new to scrapbooking or Ali Edwards, I am still getting a lot out of them. And it's true that you can tell Ali is enjoying herself too. She is always so good at what she does and this new video series is great for both newbies and veterans alike.

I liked the pieces of me project last year. However, I’m not getting the TN or the cover. And I think I’m going to stick with my EE prompt sets for stamps. They seem to fit my crafting better. But I might change my mind later.
I don’t blame her for a product release, I think it was said last year here that it would be a new product release. She has a business to run so this is what she does she makes products to help with the projects she comes up with.
I like the idea but the products don’t speak to me. ( and yeah on that felt being high priced )

As the overused and abused meme goes... Inked team: how many hearts do you want in the SB kit, Ali? Ali: yes

I really don't like that once you buy the first kit you're automatically enrolled in auto-ship for the whole year. And yeah...that's a whole lotta hearts.

I haven't bought anything AE in a long time but I still get her emails, so I looked at the kit...WTF is up with the dimensions of the smaller pieces of paper? 7x8.2...is that a standard size for something I don't know about? I thought maybe it was A5 but I googled and that's not it. (Oh wait, the IG description says it's 6x8 papers but that's not what the site description says, so hopefully the site description is a mixup.)
I agree on the thinness of the kit. When it looks thin even after they've staged it to look full, you can tell it's pretty bad. The price does include the digital kit...but I feel like that's just thrown in there as an afterthought, otherwise why not charge less for the physical kit and make the digital kit an add on? Although I know some scrapbookers use digital items, I bet that most don't, so it's not necessarily something I'd want to pay extra for.
I do really like the chipboard heart with mini hearts though!

Why not just make it 12x12? Or is 7x8.2 what a 6x8 page protector measures from edge to edge (not the insert)? (I'm too lazy to get one out to check!)

Wow, that scrapbook kit is a big fat no from me. Way too much $$$ for what you get. I scrap 12x12, so that would give me 3 papers (that do nothing for me) and a bunch of freakin' hearts. My subscription dollars are better spent elsewhere.

Hard no from me. 1. The paper size is just stupid. 2. The color is yuck. It looks like an Easter egg exploded. 3. The stupid chipboard heart that all the little hearts in it? A freaking waste. 4. The felt hearts + acetate hearts are the only part I would ever use. And she offers them in other projects/colors so no need to buy this kit for just them. 5. The price is just ridiculous.

Oh that will teach me to not really look at any of the details! I didn't see the wonky paper sizes and I do not like the auto-ship so I'll be passing. Oh well. Had to get my hopes up for a bit.

Oh, I totally love that heart kit! I watched the unboxing on YouTube and kind of stopped breathing for a bit.
"An Easter egg exploding" - that's pretty much my style all over.

I’m going to admit I think it’s pretty and I would probably use it. I love that the digital kit is included, but I wish it had more 12x12 papers. I’m going to tape my hands down so I don’t order, though. I need to produce more before I purchase more.

It's nice. It's a lot of embellishments & not enough paper imo. I don't need anything and I don't want anymore subs so I am passing. I do wish she would design a legit 12x12 or 6x8 patterned paper pack tho.

Yeah, 7x8.2 is the outer dimension of the 6x8 page protector. So, you can punch holes in the side of this paper, put it in an album, and it will be the same size as page protectors in the same album. Working "out of the page protector" is a thing right now. I haven't tried it yet myself... well, with the exception of flip ups in pockets.

I really like the kit even if it is a bit expensive for what you get (pretty much everything Ali sells is expensive for what you get IMHO). I ordered it ... I don't need it but I love the heart one and suspect I'll love the other shapes. But, I totally get why it's a hard no for so many people.

I like the kit and I like that she is offering the paper sized the same as the page protectors - you can always cut it down to 6x8, or since the holes aren’t punched, you can use it for layering. I see this kit as mainly embellishment to existing supplies.
That said, I like the price is a bit high for what’s included. $29.99 minutes get me to think more seriously about it. The colors are a bit too pastel and pink for me, and I don’t use hearts that much. Plus, I don’t want the required commitment. I am interested to see hexagons, and will likely buy the star kit if it’s available to those who didn’t buy the heart kit.

I like this kit BUT I think the contents are light fir the price and I’m not willing to commit to 4 of them right now.
I use heart embellishments all the time but I’m not up for another commitment
I’m not sure I even ‘need’ the papers either since I’m mistly memory planning right now.
I’m not going to buy the 4 kits, but if there end up being embellishments for sale later without the commitment I might. But that’s a chance I’m very willing to take.
I mean it’s not that hard to make a heart myself if I want to.

Random musing. Do you think AE showed us her shaped based chipboard storage because that aligns with these shape based subscription kits?

Random musing. Do you think AE showed us her shaped based chipboard storage because that aligns with these shape based subscription kits? Wouldn't surprise me. If the first kit is a good indication for the rest to come, these will be shape-based and in terms of items received, it's mostly chipboard embellishments with a few sheets of paper. Makes sense to display a different method for chipboard storage when chipboard is the bulk of your business.

The chipboard storage video was part of the pre-launch hype of shape based subscription kits of AE. why do I know this? because I do the same marketing each month when I'm launching a new product. Very effective if you ask me. I did watched the video and I have a feeling that most who did it might regret it at some point.

I did watched the video and I have a feeling that most who did it might regret it at some point. This is what I'm thinking as well. I used to be really quick to jump on whatever whim/bandwagon/sales pitch the scrappy "celebs" touted and would totally regretted it. Now I think a lot more about how said whim/bandwagon/sales pitch will work with my process and 99% of the time it won't work.
