If you scroll down in the blog post, it tells you the upcoming themes for the scrapbook kit: AE KitsThank you! I saw the kit but I didn't read the post or see the themes. I like those themes, everything except for punctuation. I might start a sub. Or I might get the digitals or wait for this one to come to the shop. Decisions!!! I just bought the explore story kit during the 30% off sale. I had been waiting for it to come back. I want the Go kit too. Hopefully I won't have to settle for the digitals. I think I'm going to wait until the next scrapbook kit comes out in Feb. to start a sub. That's what I decided. I'll need to add it to my calendar.

Has anyone heard when we are supposed to find out the changes to the Stories by the Month sub? I’m considering cancelling my sub if it isn’t going to revert to being more pocket-page oriented, but we only have until the 7th to cancel…

Maybe not, but it feels icky that they haven't announced anything and the deadline is creeping up. I, too, will cancel and then cancel my cancel if I need to.

Not yet. I know everyone is deep in DD mode but I’m ready to hear what the changes are and see the OLW kit. Hoping to not sub to anything or buy anything but I’m ready to start thinking about my plans for the next year. I’m going to keep my SBTM kit thru Jan regardless because I have always like the January kits.
Also hoping they go back to regular Day in the Life. I was initially excited about the new kits but they didn’t really work for me.

I just listened/watched. So they are going back to 4x6 and 3x4 cards only + embellishments. 3x4 stamps that are regular/"shop stamp" quality will now be available as an add on only - sounds like the same thing as Heidi Swapp where kits made in China can only do acrylic stamps. Quarterly add ons of larger 6x8 out of the page protector size kit (6 papers) that will complement kits from that seasonal quarter. So she/someone is listening to the feedback on the stamps and on the general feedback wanting more 3x4 and 4x6 cards. I don't love the January colors, but I do definitely like the switch back to 3x4 and 4x6 as well as getting rid of the poor quality stamp. I have some thinking to do on if I want to sub again this year. Curious what others think.

I’m curious about the pricing with these changes. As far as January, not a fan but I do like a few of the 3x4 cards.

The 3x4 stamp is just crap and worthless, IMHO. Assuming the price doesn't change, I will keep my sub.

Ooooh I love all the vellum! Wish she used fonts that weren't her own handwriting on every. single. thing. though.

I am very happy with the changes. I don't use the stamp or the large papers. This works much better for my PL albums. I was considering cancelling, but for now I'll leave my subscription as is (I had cancelled everything except Stories by the Month).

I don’t subscribe to SBTM so I don’t really have a fight in this. Figures that I finally decide I love the 6x8 and they take them away. I was thinking of subbing to this kit but will hold off for now. - I’m a sucker for die cuts and chipboard, always love those. - I don’t love the repeated cards and I don’t need 3 cards that say the month. - The vellum is a miss for me, in a pocket card style with another card on the back side creates more problems.
The style and colors of the January kit are not something I like at all. The bird and mixed media stuff is not for me. But I might buy the paper pack.

I like the changes. It’s smart and will please more people, especially the stamp situation. I think it would be too many vellum cards for my use tho.
I have zero interest in the January kit after seeing it, which is a surprise. The colors and graphics are not for me. I’ll be canceling but I’m happy because I really need to stash bust.

I like the changes and appreciate the fact that they are listening. According to her post on IG, Lisa is now designing the SBTM material so if you're not a fan of her style the SBTM sub might not be a good fit. But, I like what they did. I love the 6x8 pieces so I'm disappointed to have to pay more for them but that's better than not having them at all. I rarely use the stamps so glad to have the option if I want it but will rarely purchase it, I'm sure. Love the vellum stuff but I know that won't be beloved by everyone. I'm looking to overhaul how I do my monthly scrapping in 2024 and these changes will fit what I'm planning so I'm happy overall .... Even if it's ultimately going to cost me more money to get the add-on papers! LOL I feel like Ali just keeps finding new ways to TAKE ALL MY MONEY!

Just popping on here to see what you all think of the changes. The vellum is a miss for me, in a pocket card style with another card on the back side creates more problems. I don't do PL but I use lots of pocket pages in my december daily and travel albums. I love vellum in a pocket. I like the transparentness of it and often put an embellishment on top and then another one on the back, sometimes the same like the same size circle, and other times different just for some visual interest. And sometimes I just leave it blank with the pattern of the vellum being the focal point. I'm still on the fence about the scrapbook kit but I think I might start the sub with this month's kit. I really like it and I like 3/4 upcoming themes. It's just that we're fixing up that damn house and I will not have a minute to scrap after I finish this DD and I will feel bad having product coming in that I can't use. Dilemma!!!

I love the 6x8 pieces so I'm disappointed to have to pay more for them but that's better than not having them at all. I was excited to see them separate as I will probably buy these when I get a chance. I don't sub to these and I really love AE papers. I've really come to rely on the individual spaces she creates for stories. So dang easy and looks so clean and good.

I wholeheartedly agree with this. I do not like the graphics, I do not like the colours. I do like the changes to the kit and that 6x8 is available (although I do not like the colours, patterns or graphics) I HATE the left justified 4x6 cards with a violent burning passion.

I'm pretty excited about these changes. I much prefer the 4x6 cards over the 6x8 papers. I had already decided to cancel my SC kit, this might be a good replacement for me.

At first I wasn't happy to see there wouldn't be a stamp in the kit. I really love those and use them all the time. After seeing all the die cuts, though, I'm back to being happy.

Most of the cards are pretty versatile and I love especially the vertical cards to turn them into 6x8 papers or to use in 4x6 mini books. Don’t love the January stamp (This girl is on fire phrase is weird for a stamp phrase in my opinion) but love the option to buy a good quality stamp, if I like it. Love those 6x8 papers. I really need to rethink my spending next year and one of my monthly subs has to go. Currently I sub to AE story, StotM and story stamp and Heidis Stamp therapy. I definitely hold on to Stamp Therapy, those kits I enjoy the most - stamping brought me into the hobby of storytelling. The AE story stamps are getting weirder to my tasting, those I can easily let go. The story kits themes are only updated until march which has a birthday theme, I think I will hold onto this kit until march and then switch to digital story kits instead of physical, because I like the monthly videos. So that leaves me with the StoM kit, if i like the next 3 months. (Hey the writing process has brought me to my decision for the next year, 😀)

I really like it. I was so in love with what she did in 2022 that I was all ready to subscribe in 2023. then she cut the cards and went with those out of the page protector sized papers that really didn't work for pocket scrapping (PL). So I didn't subscribe. This kit doesn't have as many embellishments as I would like. But I'm going to sub to this one for a bit and cancel my freckled fawn (which has worked great this past year for me) and see if I can pick up enough other embellishments to make Ali's kit work for me. I'm going to give it a try since she made these changes.

I have mixed feelings about it. I am happy the stamp will be of better quality, and am happy to pay for that. I don't do PL so lots of cards doesn't really keep me subscribing. I have a lot of chipboard and don't really use die cuts frequently. So, I guess we shall see.

I really like the changes. I'm not sure about all of the birds in the January kit, but I can see using them in an OLW album. I like the vellum, but I'm hoping it's not too much of a good thing for me. Sometimes I just want to add a bit of decoration, and vellum just makes everything look pretty. I need to come up with a better system for my die cuts so I can use them more.
I probably won't get the stamp sets. I would get more use out of the alphabet stamps even though they're more expensive. I will probably end up adding the 6X8 papers since I do use them.

I really like the kit and may add the subscription to my account for 2024. The die cut packs are a great embellishment! I feel like the value of this kit went way up by removing the poor quality stamp and adding 3x4 and 4x6 cards.

I’ve been on a scrappy hiatus the last few years - can anyone tell me if the past story classes are still sold from time to time? I know she used to do bundles of 5 a couple times a year. I don’t know about bundles, but the story kit classes do go on sale, like twice a year. Thank you!

Hrm. On the one hand, I do REALLY like the changes. I never used the stamps, and the 6x8 papers were often not designed well for pocket pages. (I do 12x12 Project Life.) However, I don't get all the vellum. It's pretty but not very practical for pocket scrapping. I don't want to make the pocket on the back side unusable. Maybe I just have to back everything with white paper? Stumped. If I see enough inspo for using it, perhaps I'll resub.

I think like the changes. I liked the 6x8 cardstock pages, that was something I couldn't get anywhere else, but I think they removed them to ship the kit in a smaller envelope. I don't like the design, font or color palette for January.

She didn't mention any price changes for the sbtm kit sub...so I am paying the same and getting the most valuable item in it removed. Guess canceling will be easy peasy. Just need to dl any class content first. This is a hilariously stupid business move. The stamp was why I sucked up the cost increases. Been a sub since day 1...not anymore.

I don't think you can download the class content, but it does stay in your account. For me, the stamp had little value since the quality was so poor. I didn't subscribe prior to this past year, though, so I didn't have the advantage of getting photopolymer stamps with the kit.
