If you get this last quarterly kit of 2023, are you then committed to 2024 or how does that work? I just opened up a "conversation" on the AE website. I'm interested, too, but I'm not sure how long the commitment lasts. It's a great, very usable kit, and one I can see myself using for Week in the Life. I'll let you know what they tell me.

The commitment is 1 year or 4 kits. I don't believe there is a skip for this one (not sure). It will auto renew after the year and it will be up to you to remember to cancel if it you want. I really like this kit too and would use it for WITL as well.

Thank you! And also, DARN! I really want the daily kit but I cannot get on board with those themes! Alphabet is probably good- I love letters/type. But frames? No. I despise the frames that are included in kits and never use them so I certainly don’t want a whole over priced kit of them. And punctuation?? Like what? How is that a theme? And watercolor sounds like rainbow and not something I need. I guess I’ll just wait for the daily kit to be available as stand alone item and get it then - thanks for posting! That was my exact thought, I think alphabet could be really good but past that NO THANKS!!

Can someone who has a conversation started about the scrapbook kit ask about skipping? I might talk myself into it if I knew I could skip at least frames.

I thought the quarterly kit subscription was just for the year and reset at the end of the year. So if you start with Daily, as it's the last kit of the year, there is no commitment beyond that. That said, it automatically rolls over your subscription so you'd have to email to cancel, there just wouldn't be a penalty. But, I would confirm with customer service because I'm not 100% sure as I haven't done this myself and they do change things periodically.
I also have to say that I love the daily kit and when I first saw it I instantly thought it would be a great kit for week in the life, or project life.

Looks like you are committed to 4 kits regardless of when you start. I was hoping that was not the case, but I also really really love this new kit lol. decisions.
copy/paste from my email response,
You have received a response from JasmineH in your conversation "quarterly scrapbook kit" (#137885):
Hi Lisa, Thank you for reaching out to us. When you subscribe to the Quarterly Scrapbook Kit, you are agreeing to receive four (quarterly) kits within the subscription. So if you sign up now to receive this last one of 2023, you will be agreeing to receive the following three kits. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance. Best, Jasmine

I received the same response as teacherlisa. I replied with paget's question as to whether or not we could skip. I have a feeling the answer is no...but we'll see. The rules have changed over the years. I ordered back when the kit started in 2021, and at that time, you were only committed for the 2021 year, and then you would need to re-subscribe. I think it now continues to roll over until you cancel.

Any one who subscribed to the Story Class, a question for you. I currently sub to the Story Kit, but have SO many ideas for the Comfort Kit, I’m considering getting the digital kit too. Do I buy the story class to do this? What are the benefits of the class other than digital content?

Do I buy the story class to do this? What are the benefits of the class other than digital content? If you already have a subscription to the story kit, the digital kit is a $10 add-on. Much cheaper than buying the story class. I always get the digital version of the kits that I like. I find that I use one or the other for different purposes. I always need extra journal cards, and I like to type my journaling, so I use the digital version for that. I like the textures from the physical kit, and I often can't replicate some of it digitally (not well, anyway).

This is the response I got when I asked if we could skip: Hi, You have received a response from JasmineH in your conversation "Quarterly Kit" (#137886): Yes, I believe so. You would skip before the upcoming month, just like any other subscription. Best, Jasmine

The digital sale doesn't include digital SBTM kits? Bummer. Still, happy to see the retired digitals back. There's a couple I want to grab.

Because of the sale, I bought the most recent Travel class. I got the 6X8 one by Neela Nalam. I love her ideas. So far I'm really liking it and getting some ideas.
I am loving using a bit of my lunch to watch scrapping videos so this will be my go-to for a while. Not all DD product play lessons have me watching the video. If I can figure it out, I'll skip it.

Is that the Travel #3 class? It says Travel mini-class 6X8 album. Was thinking of grabbing a travel class. Is one better than another? I don't know. I just got this one for the size. I always do 6X8 travel albums. I might also buy the TN one because I like making those for shorter trips.

I received my “comfort” Story Kit today and I really like it! Great colors, usable embellishments, and I really like the puffy hearts.
I do not like the hand written, paper “comfort”. This embellishment feels like a waste to me and I don’t think I’ve used one word since Ali switched from the white plastic words years ago.
I like the chipboard, but I do with there were one or two smaller pieces. But the colors are good, and I like the “hold your hand” quote.
The puffy hearts are my favorite piece of the kit and I want them in alllll the colors.
3x4 cards: I like the gold embossed phrase but I’m not sure if I like that the sentiments are all the same. We’ll see.
The vellum words are awesome and I’ll definitely use them.
3x4 and 4x6 cards: I don’t love all the handwriting but I think all the cards are usable.
Papers: I really like the 3x8 and 6x8 papers this month, especially the tiny heart paper!

During the Q&A today for DD Prep Day, someone asked Ali about upcoming changes to SBTM and she said she wasn't going to talk about it just now, but that information should be coming out in the next two weeks. Anyone have any insight on this (I've been out of the loop a bit with a toddler at home) or any guesses as to the changes to come? I'm so curious!
ETA: Obviously I know she hasn't announced yet so I'm not expecting anyone to KNOW for sure :-P but I didn't know if any hints had been dropped anywhere about anything. Upon re-read my post made less sense than I'd hoped! Ha!

Ali’s answering questions on her insta stories right now and someone asked a similar version of the question I asked - if there would be changes to the SBTM for next year. The question also asked about stamp quality. Ali said there were changes coming - I think she said big changes- but she wasn’t ready to reveal yet and would in about a month, but she stated many of us would be really happy. I’m looking forward to hearing - right now I have story kit and SBTM subs but I have too much product so plan to drop one sub next year. I’d prefer to keep SBTM but not in its current iteration so we will see. Best case scenario for me would be making the papers more user friendly for PP - right now the directed story page is annoying as is the 3x8 monthly card that doesn’t cut down - and of course the stamp is trash. I’d vote for increased papers that are more suitable for PP - more just solid patterns- and doing away with the stamp altogether. I rarely used them even when they were good. If she keeps the stamp is HAS to be the better quality or I’m out. gb2015 This was my “insight” about the topic last month. Not really much info but we should hear in a about a week.

I did some mild damage with the 30@ off coupon.
I have been waiting for the Explore story kit to be added to the shop so I was very pleased to find it! I got some page protectors and a couple of bits and pieces.

I’ve been on a scrappy hiatus the last few years - can anyone tell me if the past story classes are still sold from time to time? I know she used to do bundles of 5 a couple times a year.

Have the next scrapbook kit themes been released yet? Not that I've seen. Kinda in waiting limbo to hear about next year so I can decide if I want to sub to any kits. I am almost thinking I need to cancel it all now and then re-sub if I want later.
