Holy cow, I am SO glad I didn’t subscribe to a long commitment for SBTM. I liked January a lot, and thought February was really usable. I was loving the vellum. Then I didn’t care for the dark colors in March, so I cancelled. Thank goodness because I hate the April offering. Good grief. That went downhill fast.
Birthday SK is cute. I like the colorful bubble font, which is most of it. Do not care for the mylar balloon writing. We have three birthdays March- June, so it’ll get used up quickly.

We must have really similar tastes because I also really enjoyed the Jan & Feb offerings. March was not great- making do with it and getting two weeks of layouts from it and then using the backsides of the rest of the cards or tossing them. And April- such a hard pass for me! I hate basically everything about it. Yikes. I’ll be curious what comes next. Such a bummer because I really love getting SBTM. I was going to cancel my story kit but now I might keep it. I might end up doing a skip every other month with story kit and SBTM (unless it continues to stink). *I also don’t care for the Mylar balloon writing on the birthday kit but there isn’t much of that.

SBTM peaked in 2022 imo.

I’m thinking that way for many of AEs projects lately. It’s all just so repetitive and samesies this year. Besides my SBTM subscription I’ve spent no money with her. Everything feels stale.

My frustration, as also mentioned in the last YouTube video by Kasha Gage, is the duplications in card designs. SBTM this month has the same font as the community story kit and one exactly the same duplicated card… not even a different colour! Of all the fonts in all the world, and with all the colours in all the world, you couldn’t find a different design? I’ve been building my stash as I’m fairly new to ae so things still feel new to me BUT I can see this getting old REALLY FAST if even I’m already noticing the lack of originality and effort in the kits…

This is my first year subbing to the SBTM kits and so far I'm liking them. More in line with doing PL for me, plus I like the changes with the vellum. I do like the colors in this month's kit and I can handle the duplicate card. I was happy to see the $10 kits offered as part of the kit shipping. I've had a couple in my cart a few times but couldn't handle the high shipping costs. So I took advantage this month and am grabbing a couple of extra kits. Not going too crazy because I'll want to order WITL supplies.

I feel like Ali’s shop has too many sales. Every week it’s something new they are trying to get out there, to the point where I don’t know why people would pay full price for anything in her store. Just wait for the next sale because if it’s not on sale this week, it will be next week

Thats not counting all the sales she is doing. Its just so much, all the time.

I'm pretty happy with the Story kit. I absolutely hate scrapbooking (12x12) birthdays so I have just about every kid birthday ever to document. I like the colors too. Balloon font isn't my favorite, but I will take it over Ali's handwritten fonts.
I'm keeping a close eye on the SBTM kits as I am currently using up a years worth of SC kits and won't be subbing to the cut apart thing they have going on. Again, I like the fonts. The brush font is one of my favorite to cut apart. It looks like a fun kit to me, like the colors. Some of the super large tags are weird and I have no idea why they include the tab stickers. Odd.

If you want the paint fonts, let me know and I’ll send them to you. And I really like the tabs. They’re good for inserts, flip-ups, and when I want to tuck journaling behind a pic in a pocket.

Can anyone point me to the upcoming scrapbook themes? I can’t find them on the site.
I remember liking one.
Might start a sub. Not sure.

ETA: If you meant the quarterly kits, I can't find those either, but this is a link to all of the kits: 2024 AE Projects

I think the only place to see it is the calendar of projects/releases that they released in January. The upcoming ones that are listed are: May - Frames August - Alphabet November - Watercolor

I splurged this month by getting the physical Story Kit and Story Stamp, on top of my SBTM subscription. I almost went for the alphabet stamp, but maybe I'll wait another month or so.
I am loving the Story Kit content so far! I love all of the projects with balloons. I dabble in card-making, so I can't wait to make birthday cards with some of the ideas.

Hate the dark colours for April. And the 2 typos in the SBTM kit. Oh no! I haven't really looked at the SBTM kit too much...was excited about the story kit. There were spelling errors on two of the cards from the Savor kit last month. I contacted Customer Service and was given a refund even though it was too late to skip. I can't believe no one is proofreading what goes out, especially since this is a constant problem.

I've only done one week with the March kit and didn't get any emails that there were issues. This is my first time subbing to SBTM. The digital version seems to have been corrected, but it appears that the physical version still has the errors: a missing i in the word " isn't," and the word " that" misspelled as " than." What's weird is I remember isn't spelled as " sn't" on a previous card from a couple of years ago. We got corrected digital cards at that time. Anyway, they have provided digital corrections for the physical kit this go around. I don't think an email was sent out. I kind of wish they had corrected the mistakes on the digital version of the Savor kit. It's a beautiful kit, but as a retired teacher, I can't bring myself to include cards with misspellings.

Eeeeeee....WITL preview! For once, I am very pleased and excited. Love the colors, love the style, love the font, love the minimal (or any?) thick thin handwriting.
Album - UGH. There had to be one UGH. I would really like to do 6x8 this year, 8x10 is not really my thing. But I don't like fonts/words on the outside of my albums. For anything else the cream gold album is right up my ally, but it seems like a total mismatch with the rest of the kit.
Main kit and mini kit - love, love them. I love the Me, You, Us approach. So many ideas.
Will probably end up with the half circles, vellum circle pages, banners and transparencies. Probably a no for the pleather circles.
I bound my own journal last year to keep my daily notes, not sure if I will do that again.
Anyone else excited?

I am reservedly excited. The quality of the instagram was a bit glitchy for me. So on Monday I'll look more closely at the post and make final decisions. I don't think I need the main kit but man I loved those vellum pockets. You can't print white so buying digitals isn't an option for those (unless I choose a really like color and print that on my own vellum). I think I'm going to pass on the mini kit too. I want the 2" circles, the half circles, the acetate, the vellum with the circles, and the plastic days of the week. These can totally be used in other projects. I do like the album but I don't have it in me to do 6X8. Last year I did the TN size from Citrus Twist and another year I did a similar size. It really works for me to keep it simple. I think 6X8 is going to be too much. I am going to look through my albums and see what I have. I think I have a black one that is smaller than 6X8. If not, I'll pick a color from Citrus Twist I haven't used yet. I know I have a black album of some sort from studio calico. So many decisions! I could also just do extra in Project Life and call it. I really think I might do that. Would LOVE to see how you all tackled WITL in Project Life. Please share pics or links if you have them.

I can’t remember if I showed a look at other years in this video or not, but I def did that at one point. I always come up with fun ways to add it into my PL. As a note though, I also do a separate WITL album, so this is just bonus. But could still be helpful! 2022 Project Life Process: Week 25 Project Life During Week in the Life youtu.be/wPRg9HF8TLk

I missed most of the non-kit parts so I can't comment on that, but I think I like this year's stuff. I am excited to see the blog preview on Monday.
I'm thankful I do 6x8 because I like that album better. I really appreciate the effort made to keep things the same color for each day. I do like the colors (based on the poor quality IG video) but not necessarily when they are all together.
I'll have to think about what week to do. The official Ali week would be fine, but DS18 will still be out of state at college. I might wait until the week before Mother's Day...but that would include DS18's birthday...again...

But could still be helpful! Thanks! It was really helpful to see your process with that thinking. Now I just have to decide how much capacity I have to do the projects. I'm really leaning toward putting it all in the Project Life album. Could be a nice break in content.
