Just received a shipping notice for WITL and I ordered the 3x8 album and the page protectors. I really hope they restock the full 3x8 page protectors and offer the two pocket 3x8 as an individual style pack.

I want to finally get into OLW. But welp, I feel so behind now it's almost April. Any recommendations where to begin and what to skip right now? I’m behind as well. January’s prompt is pretty simple so I’m going to do that this weekend and pick something to practice everyday in April (that was March’s prompt I think) and pick up April’s prompt as well to get on track. I’ll probably skip February’s prompt (the vision board I think). This is my plan too I’m never really a fan of the vision board prompt anyway.

I ordered both albums, 3x8 protectors, and dividers at one minute past the hour when the sale opened, so I hope they ship in order of purchase. 😃

Did Jan and then haven't done Feb or Mar. I don't like vision boards and I think that threw me off. Same here. I really don't like vision boards. I did something for almost every day of this month but the unfinished (not really started) vision board is just hindering me to move on and document this month prompt.

I did something smaller for my word, where I took pictures from the web and put them in a collage on Instagram - much easier!!

Add me to the list of those who want to catch up on OLW. I did January's prompts and that's it. I'd like to practice something daily in April with you all.

Got my album today but haven't had a chance to open the plastic. From the exterior it looks ok, though not worth the price I paid. IMHO its worth about $15 max.

**sigh**. It is official. I have to reactivate my Ali fangirl card. Because I LOOOOOOVE the kit. I got the 6x8 album, the Transparency Dividers, the Thankful for This Day stamp set, the Everyday Icon stamp set, the Chipboard Bundle, and the Dimensional Adhesive bundle.
The kit came on Thursday but I didn't have time to really sit and inspect until now. I can see myself using pretty much all of it, even the cork numbers. I've never felt one way or another about cork so it will be something new for me to use, especially since the Dimensional Adhesive bundle has some cork in it as well.
I think the transparency dividers give it a little bit of extra something, and since they are black and white I wonder if there is a way to color them. That would be fun.
I can see myself using both the Thankful for This Day set and Everyday Icon stamp set in my regular projects, not just Week in the Life.
As far as the elements actually included with the kit: first the 3x4 cards: I know a lot of you guys don't like the gingham, but I think it is so cute. I'm a big gingham fan in everyday life so it works for me. The rubber pieces and the chipboard elements also seem like I'll be able to put them to use.
The ONLY downside: I wish there was more of the blue that pops up in some of the chipboard. And I'm still irritated that I didn't know about the black and gold cards until I had already placed my order.
I'm happy with the quality, and for the most part I feel like this is the AE of old....which is precisely why I bought the kit to begin with. I can't wait to get started.

Around which date do the first sneaks drop for the next Story Kit? She seems pretty stingy with the spoilers. Release is now at noon Eastern time on the 13th, which is when add ons open up.

Catching up on OLW, here's what I managed to do during a 1h30 just-me-time break on this Easter Monday: 1. do half of the January prompts for my "new" word (different from the one I initially settled on late December) 2. start looking up quotes with my word 3. do the February prompt in a very simplified way (streamlined vision board triptych compromised of 1 3x8 and 2 6x8) with just the one magazine and a pair of kitchen scissors (no craft scissors with me) (colour me surprised I not only managed to do this but actually enjoy the process!) 4. start thinking of questions for the April prompt 5. get on with my March habit tracker for April (second day of practice)

sleepingbooty I remember what you wanted your word to be. Did you change it to "sacré" ?

sleepingbooty I remember what you wanted your word to be. Did you change it to "sacré" ? Haha, it really isn't clear from the February prompt I put together, is it? I ended up changing "change" (oh, the irony!) for light/lumière (will be working in both languages). Picked up a modern hippie/bobo zen magazine, thinking there were bound to be multiple references to light in there. Wrong! Oh well, still managed to illustrate the idea of finding the light in the darkness, light revealing our true colours, the need to bring to light to know, the lightness of being through self-care, etc.

I think it would probably be hard to tell from any vision board if the word wasn't written on it! I ended up changing "change" (oh, the irony!) for light/lumière (will be working in both languages). I actually have found that I love the process of creating the vision board, even though I definitely prefer to stick to a smaller size and put it in an album. We should revive the old OLW thread! @millefeuilles Hey, wherever our scrappy hearts guide us, right? It's a very broad word but it's also the essence of being. I can see how it could be a fun word to explore and philosophise about! lasteve1 Let's resurrect the OLW thread. It's Easter, after all!

AE blog readers who saw her latest For the Love of Books update: the first three chapters of Madeline Miller's Circe (which Ali selected for this month) are available for free from most national Amazon Kindle stores! Highly recommended (can't wait until the full book is released).

I've been lurking on this thread for ages but finally decided to make an account! Would love to be part of a OLW catch up since I did January and that was it!
On another note, I'm STILL trying to decide if I want to buy the WITL kit. I can't tell if it's FOMO or if I really want it.

I'm starting to think ahead to WITL. I'd like to make an identical journal card for each of the 7 days that tracks something my family and I do every day. So far I have Miles Driven, Money Spent and Cups of Coffee Consumed. Any other good ideas besides the obvious meals eaten, sleep, etc?

Steps walked if you're a Fitbit/smart watch wearer. Outside temperature. Texts (or emails or Snapchats or whatever is your preferred means of communication) sent/received. Otherwise, you may want to add other daily things such as: show(s) watched, podcast/audio book played, etc. Welcome practicecroissant! I like your name. Happy to have another scrapper catching up on OLW. You definitely don't need the kit (I'm doing it without and it's working just fine). But if you really like the look of it and have enough money to afford it without having to tighten your belt or take money away from your holiday budget (I always think making memories trumps documenting them), why not?

I would check out the cards from the most recent DITL kit for a pretty thorough list of things like that for you to include.

Thank you! I totally agree that making memories trumps documenting them. I still have some of the 2016 WITL kit left (completed the project but didn't use all the supplies) so tonight I'm going to go through my stash and see if I have enough to work with. I might be able to supplement with some digital cards from In A Creative Bubble - I saw that she has some cool daily routine ones that may work! Also I'd been following along when you were missing from the boards and I'm so glad you're back! I hope things start looking up for you soon.

OK last night I went through all my stash and holy moly, that's where all my money went! I have SO MANY STAMPS. And I don't even use my stamps that much! I think I definitely have enough to do a WITL without buying the kit - and I think I have enough to make a 2017 catchup album like I've been planning! Definitely a kick in the pants to stop me from buying stuff for a while.

Also I'd been following along when you were missing from the boards and I'm so glad you're back! I hope things start looking up for you soon. Thank you. Life is starting to settle into a new state of balance again. If anyone cares, AE has her lifestyle stuff on sale. I guess the shirts weren't a huge hit? This was one of those moves that made me shake my head (and I'm pretty sure I expressed that clearly on here ). It didn't make sense then, it still doesn't make sense now. No wonder they have stock left and are already heading into sale price territory to get some stock moving... Also, why are enamel pins so stupidly expensive? You can get some very cool ones for less than half a dollar on AliExpress. There's no reason for imported enamel pins to be sold for so much money, honestly. OK last night I went through all my stash and holy moly, that's where all my money went! I have SO MANY STAMPS. And I don't even use my stamps that much! We tend to get caught up in spending and to pack the stuff away, not realising how much money we're dumping into goodies. Time to use them now!
