I think the travel kit will probably be less US-centered than any of the other products because it is marketable to US residents with worldwide themed products because US residents travel overseas My guess though is there will be general travel items that are not destination specific (icons like compasses, suitcases, airplanes and sentiments like "explore" "adventure" "wanderlust"). Maybe some add-ons that are city specific, but then probably just the BIG travel destinations--London, Paris, Tokyo, NYC.
Many of the manufacturers have already done these travel themed products again and again so I'm curious if she has a way to make it new and interesting.
You're right, lasteve1 . Still, the way the theme is dealt with scares me a bit. It's hard to explain. For example, there's a map lining the 3x8 album. I hope it's not specific to a city. I wouldn't use it for another destination. I hope there aren't words-only-embellishments like in the last WITL kit, either (though I understand some may like this). I just don't want to be disappointed. We'll see. PS: did Ali specify there would be worldwide themed products? Maybe I wouldn't be as scared. Even if it’s worldwide, I also hope it’s not city specific. Unless city specific products are add one and not the bulk of the line!

I got my kits yesterday. I thought the grow kit was even prettier in real life.

Ali is about storytelling and expands on words and subjects. It would make no sense for her to offer a travel-themed line à la Studio Calico (and Inked clearly knows that). I wouldn't worry about US-centric products and US city-themed stamp sets or such. Personally, I'm more concerned about the colour scheme. That was one heck of a dark 3x8 which is so not my summer vacay mood. Oh well, I can always save some moneez if nothing tempts me!

I don't think the themes will be US-themed exactly, but I'm afraid they will be very specific to Ali's part of the world. It all depends on how the kits are made, I guess. If they're divided between travel categories-- road trips, national parks, etc. I wouldn't be surprised to see US-only references. If they're beach-themed, mountain-themed, etc. then yes, hopefully they will be universal. If it's more foreign-country-based, I'm afraid to see St Peter's Square instead of Piazza San Pietro. Just my humble opinion. As for the colour scheme, I don't mind the dark 3x8. Looks like navy blue? (I can't see it well in the picture). ETA: in case I sound too much of a Debbie Downer, let me say I really like this month's Story Kit!

I just hope Ali has 6x8 albums...that 3x8 is way too little for me...no way I could use it for anything...I take lots of photos and I am a yapper (I talk and write a lot).

Does anyone need the photos from IG Stories? Plenty of sneaks up already. It looks like a pretty dark and moody line so far, definitely not designed around sunny summer holidays. Oh duh. I didn't even look at her story. ETA: I don't mind the colors (though not my favorite either) although that rusty, 70's orange isn't doing anything for me.

Yeah there’s nothing earth shattering there. Neutral colors, airplanes and suitcases on cork and cardboard stickers, themed sayings like “this story” and “where we ate”. We could start a drinking game!

Some of the elements look tempting for my upcoming trip to Austria, Switzerland, and the Czech Republic, but I won't get the whole thing. Speaking of European travel, any tips/things to see? I am traveling with my church choir, so I don't have input of dates/cities, but I do have lots of free days/afternoons.

We could start a drinking game! We should've made bingo cards for this release. I'm ok with the sneaks but definitely not wowed. I do appreciate including icons about what travel looks like to me most of the time: train, bus, visiting historical landmarks, etc. Would I pay AE pricing for this + international shipping? So far, no.

The scale of everything - countries, cities - is much smaller so you'll be able to go visit things very easily. Public transportation is usually great too. You should be able to plan half-a-day trips for Austria, the Czech Republic and Switzerland without much problem. Old churches, neighbourhoods, city centres everywhere. Have you tried Trip Advisor for each city you'll have some free time at?

I think I need to see it as a whole. I find most travel themed scrapbook lines difficult to use. I am hoping that since Ali's line is so basic, it might seem more usable. I think price will be a huge factor for me.

Based on those sneaks it looks way too generic for me. All I need is one ‘love travel’ icon per holiday or trip, or even per album. Who wants to stick the same repetitive stuff over and over in a travel album? There’s only so many times you can use the word explore in a single travel album.
The colours also look way too dull for the time of year. America/Europe are gearing up for their summer vacations and she releases a line with those colours? What?

There’s also an album, it looks like, on her FB sneaks.
I like the greens, but I agree that it’s a little underwhelming. I do like the stamp with the small words.
I wish Inked Brands would offer new types of embellishments. The same puffy stickers, cork sheets, phrase stickers, etc are getting really stale, even with different designs on them.

I'll need to see the full release. I've held off on my Europe album for this release. I have all of the Simple Stories Travel Notes collection already to use so I'll see if it will work with those colors. If not I'm sure I'll pick up a stamp set or two.

I like the more neutral colors so photos with blue skies, stone buildings, green grass and colorful markets would pop. But nothing has wow-ed me.

ETA: here are the IG Stories sneaks. I like icons that include touristic sites such as castles and public transportation but I am so not into the paper patterns. I need to actually see the full reveal to make up my mind. On the fence right now. Down with the muted cool colours though but I can get those anywhere. Thank you sleepingbooty for posting those images!! I agree with you all, I'm not wowed either

Nothing wowing me about the travel sneaks so far. Don’t like the colours and I have enough of those generic type phrases to last a lifetime.

Big ol' snooze fest from what I can tell. Maybe I will change my mind when they go live, but for now? Nothing I can't live without (or find something very similar in my stash).

The more I think about it the more it looks like the story theme Go from her first year of story kits. Acetate geotag, suitcases and airplanes.
Get some new material already!

So, we've had sneaks of the 1 million dollar chipboard set (credit nicolep ), the sticker pack, the specialty cork and puffy, what looks like 6x8 papers. But no card sets? Colour me surprised. That would've seemed like an obvious fan favourite to wet everybody's appetite...

Facebook sneak shows the 3x8 album. One of those 3x8 paper pads, and a couple of cards in the album pockets.

Didn't she say there are 2 travel albums in her IG story today? She said albums, but I don't remember the number. It would be really stupid to not offer a 6x8. I think most people who do a trip album are going to want at least a 6x8 some will want a 12x12.

I'm a sucker for cool linings, so of course I like the little album pictured ^ ^ because the inside map paper is pretty. Not enough to buy it, I wouldn't think. But it did catch my eye. I know the "stories" thing is her brand, but I'm so over "the story of this ~ " on every card and paper pad. It's so clumsy to me - I would just never say that. It's like a person writing an essay by saying "the introduction to this essay is that ~ " Every month it shows up it bugs me a little more... Actually it reminds me of Perd Hapley from Parks and Rec: "The story of this camera is that it's shooting me from a different angle." "The statement that this reporter has is a question." "There you have it, where 'it' is what Leslie Knope just said." A pet peeve, I guess.

I love that I’m not seeing pink, but I’m guessing the prices will more than I want to pay.
I see regurgitated messy circles that were digitals, now in rubber it seems.
