I’m interested in the navy linen album only because the color combo is beautiful and the stamp with all the phrases and numbers. However, maybe it’s my eyes, but I see the numbers 0-8 and the number 9 seems to be missing 🤔

I haven't bought any AE stuff in a while because I've been trying to be careful about money and use up my story kits (which I've been subscribing to since the beginning), but I can honestly say I want practically everything!! I love both the albums, the kit, the chipboard and the embelishments. This is going to cost me a fortune! Just worried about the time of release as I will be at work until 10pm. 😣

Sometimes that works and sometimes not, but from that pic it looks like it to me.

I like snippets throughout, but probably not enough to actually buy - I have a TON of travel themed supplies. Can't see enough detail of the kit yet to know if I'd use it all. I do like the colours, and that the stamp set includes things like Uber, Coming Home, Jet Lag, Rental Car - not things I've really seen covered before. I mostly just want the "Walk, walk, walk" chipboard - that's so perfect for the way I travel.

You’re releasing the products tomorrow and you don’t know the prices? That’s just laughable. I read that and was like WTF. It's all similar to stuff you've offered in bundles in the past. How do you not know what the prices are? That seems like something you should have ironed out before you introduce the products. Unless she is raising prices and doesn't want people to have time to think about the price increase before they hit buy... SaveSave

Why the actual fuck would you do two 3x8 albums and none of a normal size? I don't think I'm weird in usually finishing a trip with more photos than I'd take at home and often wanting to print them big.

I am actually surprised the kit isn't more. The a la carte items are pricey as usual.

The kit is a very nice price. Everything except the 3x4 cards and icon album are on my possibility list.
For those that got the 3x8 album from WITL is it good quality? The blue would be perfect for my Chicago Cubs trip in July, but the inside is a little dark so I'd want to paint it. I had just planned to put the whole trip in my baseball album.

The prices are a lot more reasonable than I anticipated. I expected the main kit to be $39.99 or $49.99 and the smaller bundles to be $12.99 - $15.99.

The story card bundle is $6.99. I’m excited that the album price didn’t increase for the linen. The kit is definitely a nice price point with all of the elements inside. I feel great about picking it up and I was hesitant about purchasing it.

Did I misunderstand Ali when she said one set of cards don’t fit in the album? It looks like there’s a set of 4x6s in the kit. As she went through the pieces, she said they don’t fit, but can be used in other projects?

As she went through the pieces, she said they don’t fit, but can be used in other projects? She was saying that the 4x6 cards wouldn't fit in the 3x8 albums but that some of them could be cut to fit in the 3x4 or 3x2 pockets of the 3x8 page protectors. Unless of course you have your own 6x8 album...

Thank you! I didn’t want to rewatch the video and apparently, math is hard. Haha! I see now that they’re 4x6 for a 3x8 album.
I really love this kit and I’m also curious to see what travel memorabilia she saves...I too have a serious collection of bags filled from trips and no albums to show!

Yes I'd love to see what she saves and how she tackles it, but the class is $50. I hope that's coming with digitals or something.

The 3x8;size is just weird to me. Often vacation photo s are the ones I want big, not 3x5 or smaller. I don’t get it at all,

I like the kit & most of the extras, but I don't have a need for it (too many travel products on hand already and no planned trip this summer, so far). I can't imagine trying to fit a trip into a 3x8 albums--even a weekend trip would be pushing it for me! I would totally love that blue album in 6x8--love that color in the kit.
I love the half-circle cards from the DD kit and was excited to see them in the travel kit, but the geo tag is going to wrong way for me.

I know what you mean...if I’m going somewhere for a week, somewhere picturesque, then I want more real estate. I see using this size for a weekend trip, mini-vacation. Or, if I was going to do a scrapbook on the road, this would be perfect. I bought a Sprocket printer but haven’t used it to document a trip yet. This would work well together with smaller photos.

Has anyone ever taken the old course Ali is bringing back called Scrapbook on the Road? Did you like it? The $10 cost is appealing. I'm in 2 minds about the kit & add-ons as honestly I don't need any of it, but having boys the blue and grey scheme really appeals to me. I like the blue linen album but I don't like the inside and I think that if I took it with me on my trip the cover would get sauced. I'm steering towards buying a wooden cover from color cast design just for practical purposes. http://instagram.com/p/BhrVNLxnqmU I didn't like Jessica's first release of covers - none of them appealed to me, but a new release is coming up and I am hoping she has a travel related cover since everyone and their dog are issuing travel products at the moment. I wish Jamaica would issue her 3x8 acrylic covers again - a dark blue acrylic cover or orange with a geotag cut out of the center would be sweet and have me drooling!! I like the idea of capturing stories and small photos while on the road in my 3x8 album and then making a 6x8 album when I get back, inserting the 3x8 stories. If I don't find an album that works for me, I am going to make one out of chipboard and fabric. Saving $ on the album may convince me to make some purchases. Glad like others have said, that I have the night to think about it.

The other weird thing about 3x8 is the long, skinny, vertical orientation. Unless I'm snapchatting someone (millennial alert) all my photos are horizontal. Using these albums would require so much more photo editing.

I actually LOVE both of the albums. I’m not sure how useful 3x8 is to me but I love the designs and colors of the albums.
I like pieces of some of the other stuff but not enough to jump on any of it. I was pleasantly surprised that the kit wasn’t $10 more though. I also noticed they tried to add a little more value (a few more items) per set — like the gold foil 3x4s seem to have more cards for the same $$ price. And the 3D embellishments aren’t cheap, but they seem to have more than normal? I don’t know if anyone else feels the same.

I really like the color scheme too, especially the 3x8 papers. I do think it would have been a better plan to make the papers 6x8, so those using that size could use them and those using 3x8 could easily cut them down and have two of each. The general graphic designs of the papers lend themselves well to that.
I applaud Ali for coming out with something new, that being the 3x8 size. It’s fresh and fun. Not the best for “epic” vacation photos, but fun for smaller trips or weekend getaways.
For me, if I wanted something to capture the trip on the road and journal for scrapping later, I would use a TN. I see Ali’s release as something to capture right when you get back.
All that said, I’ll probably pass right now. I don’t travel much and I already have a lot of travel supplies. Plus I’ve recently made a lot of purchases and am holding out for the past AE kit sale coming up. 😉 I am considering picking up the storytelling class though. I’ve really enjoyed her previous (DD and PL) classes and they definitely inspired me to scrap, which alone would be worth it!
Good luck tomorrow for those braving the shopping frenzy. I bet the chipboard will sell out quickly and one of the stamps.

For me, this Travel kit has cemented that I actually don’t like AE designs. I think it’s the final nail in the coffin that might just make me cancel my SBTM sub.
I dislike it for the reasons that many love it - the colours are blah and I’ve been feeling that in the SBTM kit too, and it’s her personal handwriting OVERLOAD. I would really struggle to use any of that alongside any other supplies in my stash. I’d probably struggle to use it alongside AE SBTM product because of the colours.
I really love the colour of the chipboard in the chipboard bundle but it’s so pricy for what it is.
The 3x8 albums are very cute and I hope that more retailers jump on this size in the future.
Yeah, I’m over Ali. I’ll pickup the odd embellishment here and there to supplement my other supplies but I think other than that, think I’m out!
