That is the best news I have heard all day!!! I am so happy for you and Thank God for his hand in this! I am sure you are both jumping for Joy!
I had a great time tonight. I got to spend the evening with my former boss, his wife and the girls I worked with-my other family for 19 years. I miss them so but not the work. It was wonderful to hear my former boss praise us for the job we did for him.
I did hike today that will be the last one of its kind. I found out after the fact that the trail we hiked is one of the two most challenging trails in the metro park system. I thought I was going to have to be carried out. My knees hurt so bad coming down the steep hills. My Fitbit activity tracker credited me 21 flights of stairs that is how many hills we walked up. I am sticking to the trails classified as 1 and 2 from now on. but I did get 700 calories burned doing it. Ok I am off for now-waving a big Hi to everyone!

Hey all! Happy Friday and hope it was a good one for you. Mine was slow but did get to my art table. I have been working on a few dark skinned faces and they turned out so interesting. So, I am enjoying trying different skin tones and faces. These two I finished looked African with turbans. I will share soon. Man, I haven't scrapped or made card in like forever! LOL! I still have a few layouts to do but need some more paper and adhesive. So maybe I will get those started when we get a little extra money. Nylene- Wow, that is some terrifiec news about your dh!!!!! So happy for him and glad he can still drive. Awesome news and wishing in more good health. What a relief, huh? Also, I went to your PB page to leave a comment for your last two pages and the comment area is gone! I did love them both. The little flags you made on the one were so cute. The other with Angie and your dh was adorable too. They look just a like!!! The stitching you added along with all the details made it so special. Nylene, you are an excellent scrapper and tell great stories with your pictures and details. Awesome work, lady! Cindy- OMG, 21 flights of stairs... I would have to be carried off. LOL! Your knees may be sore but I know your heart was smiling after a great accomplishment like that. Any pictures? Waving hi to everyone and have a lovely evening!

Hello, all! Sorry I've been absent. Lots going on around here.
Cindy, congrats on that HIKE! 21 sets of stairs would have me crawling for weeks. Wow, am I impressed. I hope the rest won't be that strenuous! Sounds like you had a great time with the girls and Doc from work. I miss the office girls from my office.
Kelly, I'm interested in seeing your turban girls. Such fun that you have taken to this art and loved every minute of it. I love watching your growth! You are amazing.
My SIL and brother just did a 400+ bike race and DD and her SIL drove the route to meet them at the end. So I had the 3 youngest children for the weekend. Since the other cousins have so much fun with each other, I invited Ash and Lys to join. What a great time we had. They said they wanted a Tea Party. Now, these girls are 10 and 12 and I thought tea parties were a thing of the past. 2 of the girls made the cookies, 2 were in charge of finding hats for each of us, and Grandpa and little Brock (age 7) were in charge of going to the store to get more baking powder. So everyone was involved and we had such a fun, laughing time. BIG PROBLEM..............I opened my camera to find that it was broken and the shutter would only open part way. I almost cried! Later that night the girls began playing with my sacks of fake flowers that I buy at $1 store and use on scrap pages. They decided they needed to make floral crowns. I just happened to have 4 rolls of floral tape and dug out some wire I used for the base of floral crowns for [HASH]1 DD's wedding, 20 some odd years ago. I didn't think the girls could really do them alone, but once they got the hang of it, they made some great looking halos. Brock went to the basement with Grandpa and made a woodworking project. I've felt like my grandchildren were outgrowing me, but looks like we can still have fun for a few more years.
I took my camera in to see if it could be repaired and they aren't hopeful. DH says let's go get a new one. I had finally learned to use this one and HATE learning new technology. I'm so clutzy at it. I hate to spend the $ on it, but DH is insistent that I can't scrap without a camera and he knows scrapping is my therapy!! What a great catch he is.
I'm hoping to do a little scrapping tonight. I have some Cub stuff to get ready for tomorrow and then it's scrap, scrap, scrap for me tonight!
Have a great week all you Pokeys. Hope things are going well for you.

Kelly, Photobucket has done some changes to their site and now there is no way to leave comments. Thanks for making me aware of it. I know they are doing some new things, so maybe that feature will come back. Here's my latest Disney.

Well then this girl better get off her wazoo and get that blog working. Who would have thunk it!!! I promise I will try to get to it by the end of the week. I will have the grands all day Wednesday as they have no school. It is also Bobby's birthday-he is 8!!!! I was worthless today-I slept until 10:15. I must have been tired I bought a new tablet yesterday and was busy putting all the stuff in it that needs to be so it would work. I love it! I was going to get an Ipad but went with the Samsung Galaxy instead as it has more memory. I like the size to 10.5 inches. I hated my Nook. I know it was not made to do what I wanted it to do I should be happy for a while now! LOL
Nylene-love your page! Of course Sammie was in love with that bench look who it is! That title is absolutely the best! I am pinning it for sure just for that. My new class is about titles! I really love this one!
Ok gonna close for now BBL!

Cindy, don't stress about getting a gallery blog up. We can continue to comment on layouts here even if PB doesn't put that option back in. I just don't want to add stress to your life. I wish my grands would get a day off school. They bought fabric to make scarves but we didn't get them sewn this weekend. We need a week day! I hope you love your Galaxy. You are braver at learning new technology than I am. I think we'll go looking for a camera tonight after Cubs, but it will take me a year to learn to use it!!
Waving to all!

Hey all! Well, my dh's job is on hold but he did get a p/t job he can do from home and has more interviews this week. So fingers still crossed. Just disappointed for the false alarm. Hopefully something else will open for him soon.
On a better note, we went to our local art gallery on Saturday and I got to see the art exhibit I saw a few weeks ago. Last time there was a big crowd since it was opening night. But Sat. was fun with no crowds and I could see the art better. We also met the gallery founder and another staff member. So that was exciting to hear more about their plans and get other info. I will be posting pics on my blog this week.
Cindy- Congrats on your new toy. I know you will have fun with it.
Nylene- Oh boy, your camera died! I hear ya about having to learn new technology. But I know you can do it. I wonder what is going on with PB to remove the comment part. Wow! So I will leave my comments here. I just love this layout of your dgd. The mickey's at the bottom look like they are cork board and that looks so cool. Love the sweet pictures and the title font. Excellent work my friend!

Cindy, that is such a sad photo! I hate to see the devastation of nature. I'm sorry you have lost some of the hiking trails. Be careful walking among those downed places. Your layout is so clean and classy. The title says it all. I love the green cross hatching in the background. So beautifully scrapped. What are you learning in your class?
Kelly, I love your tutorial on the cut out girls. I wish you could could spend a day teaching me! I am so sorry that Ron's job fell through. He's in my prayers for finding the perfect fit for your family. Hang in there, sweet friend.
I worked on learning my camera last night and got frustrated so started scrapping. I think I have it figured out now. I just needed to be fresher, I think. I get to help judge 4-H demonstrations and talent contests all afternoon. I'm not a very good talent judge, but I do know demos and the other judges are more musical so I hope it goes well.
My 4-Hers aren't entering this round so I feel ok about judging.
Better get some stuff done around here. Have a great day.

Good Afternoon everyone! Nylene if I were closer I would come over & help you with your new camera. What kind did you get? The class I am taking is called Title Time and it is all about making titles for our pages in Photoshop and Photoshop Elements. As a matter of fact the one I did for today is pretty comical and should give everyone a chuckle. As for the trails they are really too hard for me so I will not be hiking either of them again. I barely made it thru that one. I am only going to do the easier ones-they are rated so I will do the one and twos but no more threes. Well have to get dinner on the table-here is my page Products are by Jana Morton and Studio DD. Thanks for looking!

Cindy, I love your 4 Wheelin' page! Such cute photos and I love what you are doing with the photoshop titles. I really like the colors you used and the way the photos blend together. You are becoming quite the digi expert! My camera is just a simple point and shoot, Nikon but it has a bunch of buttons I need to learn to use. Here's my latest Disney layout. Sorry Angie's head got cut off, but that's my camera work!

Well, we are having a heat wave and I am looking forward to it cooling off soon. I am so ready for Fall! LOL! Last night we went to a music and art festival hosted by our city. It was on the rooftop of one of the parking structures overlooking our downtown area. The theme was Mexican heritage night so there was mariachi bands, other groups and the lovely lady dancers with the colorful full skirt dresses. It was so fun! We also met this couple that are organizers of one of the art coalitions. Just talking with them got me so excited and inspired. They are both artist and the lady introduced us to the founder of the group, too. So we enjoyed talking with them and seeing all the art there. I hope to go to there Oct planning meeting to see what we can do to help out. I took some pics but they all came out terrible! LOL! I was just too far away from all the action. Nylene & Cindy- Thanks for the praise about my stencil art. Isn't that cool? I just loved making them and glad you both liked my tutorial. I may have to make more of those this weekend! Cindy- Happy bday to your dgs! He has great taste for his special menu too. Do you thing you can send me some of that crumb cake and taco salad??? LOL! Oh, and your two layouts are terrific. I love the one of you on that 4 wheeler. You had a blast and your sil looks so cool! I love the titles on both and I see that class you are taking is paying off. Nylene- Oh, I wish I could come with Cindy to visit you too. While she helps you with your camera, I would show you how to make stencil art. What a party we all would have, too. That lo is so cute, too. I like the little mushrooms and the clock of the rabbit. All the details are so sweet along with the pictures. Excellent work! Also, thanks for the comments about Ron's job. Hopefully he will find something else better. Thanks for the prayers and support.

Kelly, I can't believe you are having a heat wave and hope to cool off. We are expecting snow in the foothills this weekend. It won't stick, but it's going to be cold and wet for the rest of the weekend. I don't want winter to come. I'm excited that you are getting involved in the art coalitions. You would be a great asset to them and I know you'd enjoy the things you do and learn. You and Cindy and I really need to figure out a way to wiggle our noses, and all get together to share ideas and fun crafts. I think we could be dangerous! (to pocketbooks and craft/art stores).
I finished another page today and will get it scanned tomorrow. I need to stop scrapping and do some reorganizing in this room, but when I get it cleared up, I can't stand to not sit and scrap a bit.
Cindy, I got all the photos off my old camera today and worked on learning the new one. I haven't downloaded the program needed to get photos off the new one yet, but DSIL is going to come do some computer work for DH so I may have him do it for me. That way, maybe I won't mess something up! He is slowly dragging us into the new century. He hooked up a Roku for us to be able to watch movies. We just have a very basic cable package and don't do a lot of TV watching, but it looks interesting. I don't understand how it works, but he thinks we'll enjoy it.
Better get something constructive done. I'll chat with you all later!

It's raining buckets here and I am closely watching the gutter to make sure the water doesn't come up over the curb again and into our carport. I know that flood-storm was a freak, 1 in 1000 storm, but I always get a bit nervous now when it comes so hard and fast. Here's the page I finished yesterday. My Disney album is filling up but I still have lots of photos to scrap. I hope it keeps me going for a long time. I love scrapping Disney. Hope you all have a dry weekend!

Happy Saturday! We have cooled off around here and it is a nice day so far. Nylene, I wish I could send you some of our warm sunshine. That rain sounds like a bummer. Hang in there! I just blogged about our visit to our local art gallery. It is a small and a relatively new gallery but so glad it is growing. In fact, it is just up the street from us. So close! The Stay GalleryNylene- Yes, if we got together boy what a time we would have!!!! I even thing our husbands would enjoy each other too. Cindy's dh and both of ours seem like low key dudes. Also, I am excited to meet all these artsy folks in town and look forward to being apart of it all in some way. Your new Disney lo is so fun. What a nice picture of you, too. I like the Mickey image you created in the corner. Your journaling about the circles was so vivid. I could really imagine it all and how cool is that to have areas on the ground that make music when you step on it. What a magical place. Keep these Disney pages going. Love them all!

LOL I was thinking the same thing Kelly as you wrote! How fun is that layout and I know Sammie had a blast running around and stepping on the buttons! I also love that silhouette of Mickey. Believe it or not I loved Fantasia and that I believe came from there. Nylene I feel bad you are getting snow and rain. It was beautiful here today. We did a hike and I did pretty well with this one. I do have pics as there were caves and lots of rocks for the grands to climb on. Yes I think if we three got together we would have a ball! My headaches finally went away! We are going to celebrate Bobby's birthday tomorrow. He asked for lasagna and his dad is going to make it for him! I am ready to fall asleep-oh I changed my blog today if you want to take a peek! Have a great night and and tomorrow!

Hi girls, there is some time I have not stop by. I miss coming here and also my scrapbooking too. But lately I am a bit lazy, and I have not worked in anything. I am still waiting for my CocoaDaisy kit from august to be released from customs, do you believe it?? My september kit is still there too. They say I might have to wait up to 45 days for the to be cleared!
Other than that spring is here already and the trees are blossoming. My boys are ok. My 14 yo today went to play a tennis tournament in his school, and when he came home he was gloomy. He lost both matches and was eliminated. Life is made of winnings and losings, more losings I would say, and we have to be prepared for both.
I spent the whole day looking for a expresso/chocolatte machine for my office. I finally purchase it after too much researching on the net. I hope I don't get disappointed with it.
I loved all the Los posted: Disney and nature. I still haven't stop by Kelly's page to see the stencil art but I will. I hope your Husband, Kelly, finds a permanent job soon. My husband is in the same situation and I know how hard it can be, for them and for us. Lets keep our fingers crossed.
Nylene, lets us know about your camera learning improvements. its hard every time we have to make a change. But I am sure you will adjust fast to this change. Love hearing about your "tea party" and "halo building" with our GDs.
Waving bye-bye* and leaving a kiss to each of you!

Dani, that is the most beautiful layout. I pinned it. I love the colors you chose for the squares. Are they from a 6x6 pad. They are the perfect size print for this layout. Adorable photo. I'm sorry your scrap goodies are held up in customs. Is that normal? I send things to my DGD in Spain and I know it takes almost a month for her to get them. I don't know if it has something to do with customs or if it just takes a long time to get them there. I hope your husband finds a job. I know how difficult it is for everyone when you are unemployed or under-employed. You and your family are in my prayers. How old is your other son? I'm sorry about your 14 year old's ball games. Life can be hard through those teen years. Sending hugs and kisses back to you!

Thank you, Nylene, for all you compliments on my LO. The papers I used are from 12x12 I had not used and they were accumulating. I still trying to figure out my style. Since I scrap lift a lot it's hard to say. But as you mentioned I should invest on 6x6 pads instead of having pretty 12x12 and being heartbroken to have to cut them. My son, the one in the picture is now 13yo. He is a very sweet boy and everyone who meets him (especially women) fall in love with him.
The scrap kit arrived on August 21st and it has to be go through customs. They say, I call, they are up to the top and it might take 45 days from the date it arrived to clear it. I will have to wait patiently.
Thanks for keeping us in your prayers. I am praying too that things work out for DH sooner than later.
Big kiss to you. See-ya!

Hello Ladies! Dani your page is beautiful and reminds me of a special quilt with the grid design! You scrapped it beautifully! Here is one that I did for my Titles class, this week was about adding color to your title. It is about the park we hiked this week-we have four down four to go. This trail was very pleasant to hike but I do not understand why they have a hill at the end of the trails! You are already dragging and have one last steep hill to go! Whiner!!!! the journaling reads:We hiked the Ledges for the Fall Hiking Spree today. These are why the park got the name The kids loved climbing the rocks! 9/27/14 Products are by T. Stroud and Erica Zwart. I will be back later!

Happy Tuesday! Our weekend was nice. Of course, I love going to Michael's especially when I can use my 40% off coupon. I am working on an Indian bride painting. I love the bright colors and style of the Indian culture and this picture is my tribute to it. I have pinned lots of brides on Pinterest and got my inspiration there. Also, there is another art and music festival coming up in Oct and I am thinking of selling some of my art there. So will keep you posted on that but it is exciting to dream about. Dani- I just love your lo. The quilting squares are a terrific addition and you did them so well. Awesome job!!!! Also, I have my fingers crossed our dhs will find some full time work soon. It is tough but I do know it is only temporary. I hope your scrapping goodies get through customs soon. Boy, that is a headache for sure! Cindy- I love your lo too. The hiking you are doing is so neat. Are the trails close to your home? They just look so amazing and fun. We don't have any nature areas that close but I would like to find a area we would walk around in sometime. My nature area is the local golf course!!! LOL! I even saw a squirrel there once! LOL! Also, glad you are feeling better. Nylene & Cindy- Have you heard from Pam? I hope she is ok maybe just on vacation or something.

Good evening everyone. Hope all is going well. I sent Pam an email a couple of weeks ago and received no response. I did see a layout of hers posted on Designer Digitals so I am hoping she is well as I miss her too.
Kelly-the parks are all in the county I live in. Check your phone book or google a metro park or park system for the area where you live. We are blessed with the county metro parks and also the Cuyahoga Valley National Park just a few minutes from where I live. I lived a couple of blocks from the one metro parks and I climbed all over that one as a kid. We were there year round- ice skating pond in winter and the rest of the park the rest if the year.
I am having fun in the Title class I am taking I have met a lot of scrappers aver at Creative Passions. They have both digital and paper classes There is a great bunch of scrappers over there.
Well I may play around with a layout this evening. Waving a big where are you greeting to Ann, Bonnie and Loco Cocco!

Here's one I did this evening! The journaling reads: When I got my bike I had to learn to ride all over as I had never before used hand brakes and gears. Also my body is so out of shape that riding any distance was really challenging my body. We have only rode the bike trail a couple of times but this time I made the two miles to Boston Mills Road, and the two miles back. Hipp hipp hooray!!!! Products are by Jana Morton and Katie Pertiet.
