grammadee , so sorry to hear that you have to deal with such issues. I'm very glad you are home and hopefully on your way to solid foods and excellent health. I can't wait to see what you do with the orange marmalade oxide. nylene , I almost broke down to buy a set of 12 oxides after seeing your card. I really want them, but am trying to be fiscally responsible in my crafting since I haven't seemed to get very many traditional pages completed this year. The boys went to pheasant hunt at a place so the guide actually cleans the pheasant. We just got the breasts as they are easiest to clean and cut. They got 3. Also, Don has become the chef when pheasant is on the menu, so that's another plus for me. kellyr21 , glad to see you check in. Good luck getting everything done in this very busy season. justjac , It will be nice for you to slow down a bit. But, please, keep that snow and cold temps to yourself!!! I had to break ice in the chicken water 2 mornings ago and yesterday had to completely give them new water first thing as it was frozen solid in the outside ring and the insides were much thicker with ice too. No sloshing. Today we have rain and they're calling for the frozen mix or snow for the next 4 days. Yuck! Yuck! and more Yuck! I think I should become a snow bird - flying south for the winter. Enjoy your craft fair though. That sounds fun! msliz , wow! sounds like you got a lot accomplished at your crop. I always dread sorting that many photos out, but I'm always so happy when the task is complete. scrapincin , sounds like you are being productive with cards made and photos printed. I am sorry you aren't feeling well and hope you are feeling better today. I was thinking of you yesterday as I was fighting with my cameo 3. Ever since I've gotten it, I just don't feel it has cut as well as my first cameo. Yesterday it was getting off track or not cutting all the way through, even though the cuts it just made were on the same exact paper. I was like "if Cindy was here, she'd teach you" whilst shaking my finger at it, "or me" (I did concede that there was a very slight possibility of user error.) I then went to you tube and at least got the tracking back in line. @elaynef , I've been thinking of you too. I've been working on some deep cleaning, moving furniture and organizing my living/dining room. I think of your pretty vignettes and wonder where and how to pull them off with things that still are functional for a limited space and abundant stuff. Yesterday, I went through a time vortex. That's the only way I can describe it. I still accomplished things, but it just seemed that I should have accomplished a lot more. Some of that vortex could have been my fight with the silhouette. Hopefully today will be better. With that in mind, I'm wishing all of you a very productive rest of your week.

justjac , It will be nice for you to slow down a bit. But, please, keep that snow and cold temps to yourself!!! Yes, it blows my mind that it is 10 below and you are just going about your business as usual. We finaly got some cooler temps (37F) this week and everyone is so excited! I've been working on some deep cleaning, moving furniture and organizing my living/dining room. I think of your pretty vignettes and wonder where and how to pull them off with things that still are functional for a limited space and abundant stuff. Good on you....it feels good to get some stuff cleaned out...right? I cleaned my closet last week and took some stuff to the thrift store. Then the next morning, I opened the door and everything looked so nice, I didn't want to take anything out to get dressed! Here is my secret for all my little junk sitting around: empty nest, retired, grandchildren who like to bring me stuff, mostly from garage sales! I just wander around the house and see something and start putting it somewhere else with some other Junk. I did not have time to do this kind of stuff when I had kids at home either. I didn't even start scrapbooking until all my kids were grown...mostly because I had never heard of it. Hoping to hear our formerly sick ones are better today... and wishing everyone has a good weekend. I am expecting grandsons tommorrow then will be in all out packing mode Arkansas and Alabama.

Thanks, Ladies for all your well wishes. I had a good sleep last night in my own bed, and while I woke up with a headache it was quickly fixed with a Tylenol and a cup & a half of coffee. Also had some cinnamon toast, which seems to be settling nicely. Looking forward to chicken noodle soup with crackers for lunch. scrapincin , I hope you are feeling better today, too. LisaDV , I completely understand that feeling of being in a time warp. Can't believe it is Thursday already. @elaynef , you must be really excited about your trip. I love that you have a list of photos you want to capture while gone. Sometimes you can get them all, and sometimes you miss a few, but end up getting some cool shots you hadn't planned on. And I totally agree that there is no way I would have been able to scrapbook when my kids were home. Glad you enjoyed your crop msliz . I still haven't completely unpacked from ours in October, and I was frustrated this morning looking for a particular set of stickers I had taken there. Started in the drawer where they spend their time when I am home. Nothing. I looked through the still-to-be unpacked stuff. Nada. Stopped for coffee and decided to look again. What do you know? The second time I looked in their proper place, there they were. I hate when my supplies play hide and seek! Today I finished the pages I started on Sunday. I love that the dgk's endulge me in my photo habit. They select venues and pose for the camera. For these pages--and at least a couple more I plan to do--we went to the play park a block away from their house in Abbotsford. No, no, no, we can't have Pokey Peas sick at this busy time of year! grammadee and scrapincin please take it easy. Lots of liquids and lots of rest. We need you both healthy and happy for this season. grammadee , I am so glad there is something they can do for you without invasive procedures. I'm glad you are back home. Take it easy and don't rush. scrapincin , this is unfair when you were just breathing and feeling better. A terrible sore throat has been going around here. We have had a lot of children out of school. Get lots of rest. I hate knowing that you aren't feeling top notch. Still working on Christmas cards. I have to have some finished for card club next week. Fronts are finished on most of them, but need to finish inside. We have been doing a lot of filling in for Addiction group leaders who are having hip and knee replacements. We are all Senior Citizens.LOL That takes a lot of our evenings when I usually sit in my scraproom. I can't complain because we are seeing such progress with some of the participants. I'll be back later to chat. ETA: I am such a dummy! I didn't notice we were on page 2 and missed all the above posts. I'll come back later today to chat. Love your layouts, Dee.

Yes, it blows my mind that it is 10 below and you are just going about your business as usual. We finaly got some cooler temps (37F) this week and everyone is so excited! It's turned cold here over the last few days. 16F this morning but should get up to 27F, and I'm already telling Don we should move to TX. I'm praying it gets no colder. I don't know how people do it. If I had to go out and drive everyday, we would definitely be moving! --Thanks for you vignette tips. I hope I can pull off a couple and then I'll remove them and start Christmas decorating. Have fun with your grandsons. @elaynef and grammadee , the trick to scrapbooking with older kids at home is....to not clean! If I did everything I was suppose to do, especially now with Don being home most of the time, I'd get no time whatsoever. Don's worse than the kids about making a mess and leaving it. The kids I can say pick up this mess and they jump on it. I tell Don and he says he'll get to it. Yeah, like I haven't heard that for 18yrs with very little "getting to it" ever happening. When the kids were small I'd sneak 5 minutes in while waiting for the dryer or washer to finish as my space was in a sub-basement with the washer/dryer. grammadee , glad you seem to be on the mend. I'm crushing on your fall photo shoot pages. Especially the TH oxide stamped background. Gorgeous. nylene , so are you in the groove at work yet? Are you enjoying it? I'm sure it is super rewarding to see progress in your addiction work. And in this season, it is so very important that they have someone to fall back on. So keep up the excellent work! Yesterday, my silhouette worked like a dream. Finally! I'm doing paper pieced flowers on an 8x8 foundation for my calendar swap (I have May). I started highlighting and piecing them together yesterday evening. In other news, I was gifted those grocery/menu boxes. I have 1 box from 4 different companies: Plated, Fresh Box, Blue Apron, Martha & Marley Spoon. We are huge foodies, but with dd's food restrictions I was a bit worried. So yesterday's lunch courtesy of Plated was Roasted Heirloom Cauliflower with Spinach in a Sherry Vinegar Caper sauce over a Mashed Butternut Squash with Gruyere and Fontina. It was delicious! So far, we've loved every meal with Plated. I can see making the squash this way just as a side dish too. They give you the recipes with the ingredient amounts to make it from your own stuff too. Last night's dinner was a chili spiced shrimp stir fry from Fresh Box. The only thing they had in the stir fry was bok choy and green onions. I added some matchstick carrots, one to add color, two to add some other vegetable. I didn't have any other fresh vegetables as I knew I was getting the 2 boxes this week. The sauce was actually a packet of their own making. I like making my own from scratch so I know each ingredient. I used a bit of it as it was supposed to be gluten free. But it would have been too spicy for the kids with the whole pack. So I made my own sauce for theirs. I used the sauce packet for mine. It was ok, but not stellar. I didn't like that they premade the sauce or that their recipes didn't give you the amounts of anything to re-make the dish if you wanted to. But here's what I'm totally loving about the boxes: 1. not having to meal plan for a couple of meals a week 2. not having food waste, seems I'm always cleaning the refrigerator thinking "that's gotta go, since I never got around to making "X"". 3. having the ingredients prepped for me and ready to go. I can totally see keeping one, maybe two of these boxes, as you can skip weeks with any of them. I still have 2 boxes left to try. One comes next week and one the week after. So far Plated is the top choice.

Hi Everybody! Checking in to say I am doing ok just my allergies kicking up. Cleaning up the scrap room-I make such a mess when making cards. I said I needed to find the floor. Still have a few things to do. I am also looking for a photo I need to do the layout about Bobby. I know it would be taken in the fall so should find it soon. I then have to work on my cards some more. It was cold here too-both yesterday and today. 16 this morning. LisaDV those foods sound yummy but I like you want to know what is in there as some spices etc we don't care for. How are the turkies doing? grammadee Loving seeing your pages in the gallery again. That piece you inked is jsut so pretty. Love it. You need to do some more of those. nylene sure sounds like your addiction group is keeping you busy but so good to hear you are helping these folks. I know you are loving working with those kids. kellyr21 sorry we are missing you but glad to hear that you are working on your cards and things for your Christmas stock. @elaynef Your trip so fun and relaxing! I hope you have a great time and get to see a lot. justjac - miss seeing you in the gallery but understand you are worn out after last minth. I lived some of those layouts -they made me laugh. well I am going to close for now watching the Ohio State game they are winning this week!

Good Saturday evening, Pokeys! Glad you are feeling better, scrapincin . I would need to feel VERY well to be motivated to clean my scraproom. Hope you are not working yourself too hard, nylene , with your volunteering at the school AND your increased load at the addictions centre. We can't have YOU getting sick! Glad your Silhouette is working well again, LisaDV . Maybe it just needed a rest. Bet your are having fun with your dgs's, @elaynef ! We went to my aunt's 90th bd party today. We got to town early, so I was able to print the photos I need to finish the reunion album. Also picked up some meds I needed and a couple of Christmas gifts. Then we had a light lunch and walked around the Mall a bit. The party was wonderful. This aunt is one of only two left of the original 11 siblings in my mom's family. Of the remaining 27 of my generation, there were almost 20 in attendance along with spouses and widows/widowers of some of the others. Great to visit with cousins, and also got to spend time with my two brothers and a couple of spouses. I took my camera. My brother had brought along his teenage teen dgs. The boy seemed interested in the camera and I gave it to him for the day. He wandered around snapping unposed photos and then took some pic's of me with my brothers and then all of the members of our branch of the family who were there. It's kind of cool scrolling through the photos I didn't take! We were home by 6PM, and wonder of wonders, I was HUNGRY for the first time since last Sunday! Hopefully this--and that I have been relatively pain free all day--is a sign that I am finally truly on the mend. Tomorrow I have a spot in a sign painting class in the afternoon. I had wondered if I could handle it, but after today went so well I have decided to go unless I wake up in pain again. I need to make a sign for another of my ddil's for Christmas. Anyway, hoping you are all having a great weekend. TTYL!

scrapincin, those allergies can be a drag. Please take care of yourself and not overdo it. grammadee, I'm glad yesterday went so well, and you are fully on the mend. I hope that you make your sign painting class. The turkeys are processed and ready to roast. Unfortunately, the poultry scalder never really got more than luke warm since it was so cold outside. So the 1st turkey was a bit more difficult. I put both stockpots on to boil and dumped them in before doing the second. Easy peasy. Don said we're real homesteaders now. ha. In crafty news, my 8x8 calendar that I paper pieced all of the flowers for..... Well, I went to cut the grass and realized I had planned out the entire project on a 12x12. Everything I had finished was way too big!! Urgh! I started cutting again yesterday in the right size. I was hoping to be done with them by today and move on to Christmas cards tomorrow. I figure I'll be taking up the whole dining table on Monday to work these to completion so I can start my cards. To top it off, I'm starting to come down with a cold. So I've been popping airborne's and taking cold med to see if I can knock it out before it gets bad. I don't have time to be sick.

Oh Boy LisaDV I sure hope you don't get sick cuz you don't have time! I am behind on my cards want to get in there and work on them today. Now that I can find what I am looking for. I put all my card making supplies in container which will make life easier. Glad you got the turkeys done! Too bad the scalder didn't work but sounds like you solved the problem..the good old fashioned way. I am sorry you did everything on your calendar the wrong size. Hope you get it done today-but making all those flowers is a lot of work! I know cuz I have sat here and made a lot of them grammadee I sure glad to hear you say you are hungry! That's a very good sign in my book. Glad you go to your aunt's birthday party! Making the 90's is quite an accomplishment! I too hope you can go to your painting class because I know you will enjoy it and use it on future layouts as we have seen you dabble on a few already! I hope I get some work accomplished today. Here's hoping!

Sending get healthy and stay healthy vibes to all the Pokeys! And wishing justjac another well deserved relaxing day. grammadee, I agree, it's great to hand over your camera to someone else. And sometimes you end up IN some of the photos! scrapincin, cleaning the scraproom sounds almost like ... exercise! I think you should mess it up again today just so you can clean it up again! LisaDV, do you have any Mucinex? Good stuff. Stay healthy, hon. There are a lot of people in your world depending on it! I'm trying to plan some more Disney pages this morning before DH drags me outside to help him on his projects (waiting until the temperatures rise a bit), but I'm so indecisive today. I think I might browse the internet for awhile for some ideas I can scraplift. Off to make a nice cup of tea, then snuggling up in a blanket with Pinterest. Waving hi to nylene, kellyr21, and @elaynef Happy scrapping everyone!

More west Texas trivia...thought yall might be interested in our cotton farm. Our grandsons were here this weekend and we took them on a tour of the cotton gin and showed them the cotton fields they will inherit some day. They were pretty excited about their grandfather's stories about growing up on the farm, shooting jackrabbits with his 22 and driving tractors when he was 9. They wanted to know why we didn't still live on the farm and it took me a minute to come up with an answer....not a simple question!

@elaynef, a cotton farm?! That sounds really interesting. Who farms the cotton now? msliz, did you get your Disney pages planned? or did you just relax? Sometimes, we need to just veg out. scrapincin, I hope you made a huge mess in your room yesterday and were really productive. grammadee, that's a wonderful photo. I can see why you like it. Although you are just too dang cute, and you have an amazing smile! Yesterday, our main excitement was after I was already asleep. I heard Don yell out "Mouse?" Our super mouser, Butter, had caught one and brought it upstairs to my son's bedroom. I had not heard his first comment of "UGH! Mouse!" Both boys were in pursuit, scaring the cat out of the room. The beagle jumped in the mix and caught the little bugger in a snap. Logan then lamented on why does the cat always bring the mice to him. Yeah, because this wasn't the first time. ROFL. I told him, it's a gift because Butter loves you. Today, although I still have a couple of other school and home related things to do, I hope to work mainly on my calendars.

Good Afternoon Peas! Hope all are doing well. LisaDV I had to laugh at your story re: the mouse! I can just picture everything that was going on. We had a cat when I was a kid and she would bring birds in and stash them under my bed. When she had babies she had them on bed once and in my closet the next. But she would bring mice in and sit under our TV and play with them. Well I got a diploma today from Pulmonary Rehab that says I have bragging rights and a cute tee shirt with Pulmonary rehab info on it. I know the first time I went I only walked 2 laps which equaled 200 feet before they had to me on oxygen. Today I went 4.5 minutes before it dropped. So I would say I am improved over my 36 sessions. I was exercising on 7 different pieces of equipment at level 2 and 9-10 minutes on each. I will do a page about it. I found a photo that I was looking for so now I can do the page I am wanting to do.maybe later today.

scrapincin, you are a celebrity with your increased exercise ability!! Congrats. I'm glad you got your scraproom cleaned, but I agree, you just do another project or two and wham, it's all messed up again. I hope you are enjoying yourself in there. I had mine all nice and clean and then got started on a couple of projects. I don't think it has ever looked this bad. I want a photo of you in the t-shirt, BTW! I'm glad you are feeling better. grammadee, I'm sorry it has taken you so long to get over your stomach issues. Glad you are actually hungry again. I love the photo of you and your brothers. Handing the camera to someone else is a great idea. Did you make it to your painting class? LisaDV, your mouse escapade doesn't sound fun, but does sound funny! I hope your cold doesn't get worse so you can do all you want to accomplish. I'm sorry about your cutting fiasco. I have done that so many times, but now if I design right on the mat it helps me see the size I really want. Thanks for the info about the package meals. I have wondered about them. I can't tolerate anything spicy at all. Even ketchup hurts my mouth. I'm afraid I'll have to stick with my bland cooking. msliz, I can't wait to see your Disney pages. I love scrapping Disney and looking at other Disney scrappers. Hope you enjoy putting them together. elayne, A cotton farm? How interesting. I love the photos. I have only seen cotton fields one time in my life, but I was so intrigued. I'd love to watch it go from field to clothing. Enjoy the grands! I am really enjoying my school volunteering. Some of the volunteers are not very dependable and I can tell the Director is stressed. I think I'll let her know to call if she is in a bind. I don't plan anything for Mon and Wed mornings so going a half hour earlier, or staying later is no problem. I love the kids, and even the tough one. He is beginning to settle down a bit. A few years ago I bought the History Project from Kerri Bradford. I got a good start on it, but didn't finish. I promised Ashley that I would write on my history while she is writing her 50,000 word book for Nanowrimo. I haven't kept right up each day, but I do have 10 pages written. I'm afraid that I'll lose steam as it gets closer to Thanksgiving. Nanowrimo has to be written in the month of November. I'm aiming for a page a day. I hope you all have a great week. Sending hugs to kellyr21 and justjac.

Well done, scrapincin! The theme song from Rocky started playing in my head when I read your good news! LisaDV, I love reading your posts with the way you bring your stories to life. You really are a talented writer. nylene, I bet your stories are fantastic too. What a great opportunity to record them! I bet a nice cup of coffee will help get those thoughts flowing. And @elaynef, the stories you told the grandsons, have you ever thought about writing them down? What a treasure that would be for them! grammadee, I love that photo! I know you'll do something really special with it! Anyone need a giggle? I spent some time this morning using a photo editor to turn DH and DD into Pirates of the Caribbean for the Disney album. They didn't end up looking very frightening though I have a lot of my papers chosen for my kits (crop is on Saturday) but I still need to cut a bunch of titles over the next few days. Have a good Tuesday, everyone!

scrapincin , that's wonderful news. I'm so glad to hear it. You still have to keep up the exercise at home too! We want the best for you. We gotta love those cats. DH would tell stories of his cat bringing in birds that weren't dead. So the birds would start flying around their house. He & his 3 brothers had to chase the things and get them out of the house for his mom. lol. nylene , that's a wonderful way to get your history down and spur Ashley on to finish Nanowrimo. What is Ashley's novel about? I love reading your posts with the way you bring your stories to life. You really are a talented writer. That's so very funny for me to hear. My husband is the actual story teller, wordsmith, and writer in the family. He can spin a yarn so fast, and I always struggle. I always worry I didn't say things right, or went to far, so I appreciate this compliment. And elaynef, the stories you told the grandsons, have you ever thought about writing them down? What a treasure that would be for them! This is an excellent idea if you haven't done so already, @elaynef. Enjoy your trip! msliz, how often are your crops? I almost always get my titles from my journaling. Sounds like you are already good and ready for this one. I can't even imagine the editing skills necessary to turn your dh & dd into pirates. They thought makes me laugh and wish I could do it for my kids. You know just to place a photo of them like a pirate to the wall on National Talk Like Pirate Day.

elaynef, a cotton farm?! That sounds really interesting. Who farms the cotton now? A farmer who has a large operation rents it as well as some of the other farms in the area. . "I'd love to watch it go from field to clothing."....one of the questions the boys asked was, "where do you send it?" He said "China"! the stories you told the grandsons, have you ever thought about writing them down? ...great suggestion! I have an album for stories I want to tell my kids so I'll get on that. My dh had a little accident yesterday and messed up a tire and the rim so we are waiting this morning for a new tire before we can leave for Arkansas...had to get it fed ex. If it doesn't get here, we'll have to go in the older car...which will be OK, just no On Star, etc!

Happy Graduation, scrapincin! Looking forward to seeing your page about this adventure. Glad you made that much of an improvement! Glad you are enjoying your new school placement, nylene. I'll bet that it won't be long and that "tough one" will be responding positively to all your positive attention. My digestion is a finicky thing, and I have learned from past experience that if I try to hurry up the eating process after an incident, it just gets cranky and I have to start all over with clear fluids, so I take my time getting back to normal. Seems to be doing its job this morning. Planning a full meal for supper tonight, but still avoiding fatty and spicy foods. Getting there. Too funny about the mouse, LisaDV. We used to have a mother cat who caught live mice outside and then brought them into our garage for her kittens to learn how to hunt. One evening I came home from work and all six kittens were circled around the fridge--right next to the door to the house--waiting expectantly for their prey to come out. I used to tell people that the mama cat was "farming mice" as a feed supply for her family. Oh @elaynef! I hope you get the tire repaired and can start on your vacation with no further delays. I love the photos of the kids on the cotton farm. It's great to pass on those stories. Some of my fondest childhood memories are hearing the stories my dad (who was old enough to be my grandfather) telling tales of his adventures growing up and his early pioneering days. You really have prepping for a crop down to a science, msliz! Bet you will get tons of projects finished there. I need to finish up a couple of scrappy projects hanging over my head here at home. Tomorrow dh has some appointments in town in the morning, so I hope to get some uninterrupted time to work toward that. Yesterday, our dn's wife came over here for a Christmas card making session. It was wonderful hanging out, listening to Christmas music, and creating. She finished over 20 cards, complete with insides and stamped envelopes. I was moving like molasses in January and managed to finish just five. But I was playing around with some new dies, new designs. Here is one that I did: Elizabeth Crafts candle by Gramma Dee, on Flickr I liked the look of this one, so this morning I did 3 more with the same elements. I want to have all my Pokey Christmas cards finished and ready to put in the mail by the end of next week. Already have the ones for the general Pea exchange ready for the next step (putting in the inside and signing, and then stuffing in envelopes).

You really have prepping for a crop down to a science, msliz ! Bet you will get tons of projects finished there. No, actually. The problem is, I get lots of projects started there, but they never seem to get finished, hahaha. I guess that's what the winter months will be for. That's a beautiful card, grammadee I love having a craft buddy to play along with. Glad she was able to join you for the day. LisaDV, the crops are usually once a month, but I lucked out that there were two this month. This one will have a Thanksgiving themed potluck, and I'm still trying to figure out what to bring. And next month's will have a cookie exchange. It's such a friendly group. I feel really fortunate to have fallen in with them (thanks to @ihavetoomuchstuff ! )

grammadee, your card is beautiful! That was a really good momma cat too! I hope you were able to eat a full dinner with no problems last night. msliz, that's exactly what the winter months are for. I hope you get lots of pages started this weekend. I'm still plugging away on those calendars. I was hoping to have them ready to mail by today,.... but that's not happening. All my flowers are made, inked and pieced. Or my little hyacinth was too small for paper piecing, so dd suggested gluing purple micro beads to it. So cute. I want to add either flocking or glitter to the cloud pieces or maybe a combination (one flocked, one glitter, one plain).

Hello, Pokeys! I have had a nice quiet creative morning. Managed to finally FINISH the reunion scrapbook! Still need to scan it into a file, put that file on a stick, and then order photo books with it, but the book itself is DONE!!!! I wanted to go on to playing with the photos from my trip last month, but am running out of steam, now. Created a few new cards and finished some others. Had fun playing with a sheet of acetate diecuts that has been hanging around in my stash for a long time. Last night I extricated all the butterflies, and today I used them on a set of cards. This one will go to our dn and his dw for their anniversary tomorrow: butterfly wishes by Gramma Dee, on Flickr I COULD now clean my scraproom, but I think I will put together a couple more Christmas cards I have the pieces for. TTYL.

Good morning, Pokeys! Hope you are all well, just busy with all the projects and commitments that take over our lives this time of year. Yesterday I spent most of the afternoon and early evening in town. Had to do my banking and run errands that I would normally have done last week. Had a follow up appointment with my doctor and all seems to be in order. Picked up some prescription refills. Bought a bunch of supplies for Christmas baking. Then dh met me in town to go for supper with our nephew and his wife for their anniversary supper. Yesterday morning I had decided to reward myself for finishing the reunion album by playing with some of the fall pic's from my trip, so a started a double pager. It is a lift from one featured on a page of the Scrapbook & Cards Today magazine. When I saw it, I just HAD to give it a try. Finished my pages this morning. Jump In! by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Now I think I will make a batch of butter tarts. Those are the easiest of all my traditional baking (I start with purchased frozen pastry shells), and I thought they would be a good way to get the holiday baking process underway.

grammadee, your card and layout are both beautiful. Glad everything is back to normal for you. I'm about ready to go to town. I usually go first thing in the morning, but I think introverted me is finally going to meet the other catechism mom's for appetizers tonight. I'm a bit nervous. They've done several outings and I've always said I couldn't attend, whether I could or not (back to the introverted thing). I'm also hoping to do some of the last bits of Christmas shopping if I can. Other than nieces and nephews, which I already have a really good idea about what I'm getting them and some either ordered or received, I'll be so very close to finished. Hoping to have everything finalized before T-day. Happy dance will then follow! PSA: You may want to avert your eyes! - This girl can't carry a tune and has no rhythm. My calendars are finished and going in the mail today as well. I almost sent them without taking a photo. I'll pull them out of the bag and take a pic real quick and be back later to show you. I'll be taking a few days to clean and prepare for Thanksgiving and then I hope to get to my Christmas cards, although I'm thinking store bought is the way I'll be going for most of the pea exchange. Oh well, there's always next year.

Hello, Pokeys! msliz, it sounds like you have found a great group to crop with. What fun to scrap with friends around. Are you all prepared for Thanksgiving. Do you do anything special as a family? grammadee, I love those Christmas cards. Both are so elegant! I also love your layouts. Children and a pile of leaves always bring a smile. Glad you are feeling OK again. Take it easy. I'm sure you had a great time making cards with your niece. She must be speedy like you to finish 20 cards. LisaDV, I keep forgetting to tell you how much I like your new avatar photo. You sound so prepared for Christmas. I am still in the deciding phase of what to give. I need to get in gear! I am assuming that one of your turkeys will be used for Thanksgiving dinner. Are the kids ok with that? Glad your silhouette is behaving! @elaynef, I am so sorry about your accident and tire. I hope the tire arrived and you are on your way again. Be safe! scrapincin, cleaning your scrap room? That seems impossible this time of year. Maybe I'm the only one who makes this big a mess when crafting! How are you feeling? Do you still need the O2? I have finished most of my cards and will do my Thanksgiving shopping tomorrow. We don't have school Wed, so I'll get a lot done that day. We do have an Addiction meeting Thursday night. I guess other years it's been well attended. Something about spending all day with family often triggers addictions. We will see. Waving to justjac and kellyr21.

You are not going to believe the mess I have! I installed the Windows 10 new Fall update on my laptop and it worked fine for several days. When I was on my desktop it came for them to install it on this one. Well It finally was installed and when I went to open the Silhouette Studio I get an error message saying that my library is corrupt.Well now I am trying to figure out what to do to fix it Silhouette as instructions to reset the library but some of what I read says this could be a farce. I will figure it out hopefully! I might be crazy by then but it will be done.

Oh, scrapincin! I hope your computer issues have been resolved. This is why I avoid updates as much as I possibly can. And this is why I am so much more comfortable using manual dies and Cricut cartridges. I have been busily creating this morning, attempting to move some of the items on the TO DO list to the DONE list. Put together a photo collage in Microsoft word that can do double duty. It will be the first page of my 2017 Christmas letter, plus I printed it on cs and used it as the main element on my family calendar cover. Still have to write the letter, but that can be done in bits and pieces as I have time. And I managed to edit and print a couple of photos to use for the November calendar page. December's page was the first one I did way back in January, so the calendar is now DONE. So all I need to do now is get to the printer next week to get the copies made. If I have the letter ready by then, I can also get them to print that. It's amazing what a person can do when she is not feeling dragged down by being sick! 2018 November by Gramma Dee, on Flickr
