Hi everyone! I have not totally lost my mind yet but I am close. I believe I can use my library and design sections but can not access the Cloud. Thats ok for now as that is mainly when you are syncing with other devices . I will try cutting with it tomorrow I am just too tired this evening. I also sent an email off to Support with photos of the error messages attached in hopes they can instruct me on what to do. I have been up since 3:30 this morning I think all of this was on my mind. I had uninstalled the updates on my desktop but it did not change anything so went a head and put it back on. I have researched all I can on how to fix it but do not want to just try something and lose my entire library. I saw your layouts Dee but I can't think so I will get them tomorrow morning. I will be back tomorrow and update you.

Ha ha, scrapincin, their hair lines and glasses are certainly a match! justjac used to say that her dad and my dh " must have been twins separated at birth" b/c so many of their reactions to the world were the same. Maybe they were triplets? Hope you got some sleep and that you get your Silhouette woes resolved today. Dh and I are headed into the city today. He has follow up tests tomorrow and Tuesday to check how the stents are working. Monday morning I plan to do some Christmas shopping while he is in the clinic. After I pick him up we will be hanging out in the hotel room. I am taking my pea exchange cards to complete and sign the insides and address and stuff envelopes. Hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday!

nylene, thanks about the avatar. The kids are kind of iffy on our turkey, so it better be really tasty. I plan to start the brine on Tuesday night or first thing Wed. morning. I laughed out loud at this because I have a hard time with DH's family, Something about spending all day with family often triggers addictions. Then I think of those who really have to overcome addictions and feel bad. So glad you are there for some of them. scrapincin, ugh! I hope you figure out your silhouette. so frustrating! I do see the resemblence between Dee's dh and yours. grammadee, such a wonderful calendar page. I hope your dh only hears good news and that you get all the shopping done that you need to. I spent yesterday cleaning off my craft desk and putting things away. I still need to do the stamp desk. I also brought out the Christmas boxes for card making. I hope to start them in my spare moments this week, if any are found. I will make the Pokeys at the very least. As for the rest, I just may end up buying cards this year. I only found a couple of Christmas items and ran out of time last Friday. I was hoping to do a trip tomorrow and still might hit kohls and macy's after dropping off Don's 6-pointer at the processing place. I also have to go out on Black Friday as the waterpiks are on sale at Costco that day (unless I can order them online). I'm already dreading the possibility. Otherwise my week will consist of cleaning and cooking before Thursday. Black Friday Don's brother is coming up to hunt with him. I probably won't be around much this week, so I hope you all have a wonderful week.

You are not going to believe this but this afternoon I looked at my screen and had the Blue Screen of Death. I am about to give up on this thing. I tried to go to microsoft for support but I had 87 people in front of me. That screen has come up several times since I got 11 months ago. I have begun to hate this piece of equipment. well it didn't die as I am writing on it now. Ok be back later! Hopefully it will behave between now and then
UPDATE: I thought I would let you know I have not heard back from Support yet but I can cut with my Sil. I jjust can not get into the cloud so can't sync with this computer but thats tolerable. Be Back later

Hi everybody. I've been lurking again. You have all been so busy! scrapincin I'm glad your Silhouette is working. I have such a love/hate relationship with technology. DH and I are thinking of getting a new laptop because ever since we updated to Windows 10 ours is so slow! @elaynef I hope it works out with your tire. I just got snow tires put on my Jeep and I have to say they were worth the money, which is hard for me to admit because I am cheap. grammadee I love your page of you and DH. Your cards are gorgeous, too. I've been plugging away at my Peas cards, and I finally bought address labels yesterday so I can start mailing a few at a time (or at least buying a few stamps at a time). LisaDV I am an introvert, too, but barely. I'm more borderline. My DH is much more introverted than I am, and is happy if someone cancels plans with him so he can stay home. nylene you are so generous with your time. Holidays can be difficult for such a variety of reasons. We had a 40th birthday party for DH on Saturday. I made the cake. Birthday cake by Jacqueline Bruce, on Flickr It was fun. We had a potluck and then played some games. I broke out my new DSLR. It's a Canon Rebel T5 (I think). It was on sale for $100 off and then I was able to use some customer loyalty points to bring the price down even more. My BIL took some pics with it that I haven't even had a chance to look at yet. This is the card I made for DH. Happy 40 by Jacqueline Bruce, on Flickr I also managed to fit in some shopping at another craft fair, the second one in the last two weeks. Have a great day Pokeys!

scrapincin, I am so sorry you are struggling with your computer and Silhouette. Thank heavens you can at least cut with it. I'd be a crazy woman if I couldn't get mine to cut. I'd be on the phone to YOU! I still have Windows 7 and don't want to upgrade. I have kept my Silhouette humming the last couple of weeks. I think I have finished all the Christmas Cards I need. Sending hugs and good wishes for getting yours humming and with access to your Cloud library. justjac, I love that cake. I have to remember that. I love the look of the KitKats standing up around it. Very clever. My grands would think that is fabulous! Cute birthday card for a very "bright" man, after all, he chose you! LisaDV, did you tell us that your DH got a 6 pointer? If so, I somehow missed that. That will be some tasty meals through the winter. I don't envy you going to Costco on Black Friday. I went today to get some large baker potatoes and some hearing aid batteries for DH and the lines stretched back to the frozen food. They move quickly, but it was so hard to navigate around all the people and all the baskets. I'm glad I am now ready for Thanksgiving. Don't plan to go out again! grammadee, I agree that yours and Cindy's husbands could be brothers! I hope the testing on DH goes well and that they find everything working like clockwork. Hope you get your shopping and printing done too. Please be careful traveling. msliz, I am excited to be making a Happy Hanukkah card this year. I think I have figured out what I want, but haven't made it yet. Do you have another Crop before the end of the year. I can't remember if they are monthly or less often. I would love to see some or all of what you have done. Our kids are out of school Wed, Thurs and Friday. So that means no tutoring for me for the rest of the week. The kids were so hyper today because they get to travel to the Jr. High tomorrow to see a play and a movie. It's something they have earned...but I don't know what the criteria was. They are excited...and bouncing off walls! Can't imagine what it will be like closer to Christmas. This school has over 700 students and my last school had only 200. It makes a difference in noise level. LOL Better run get dinner. Have a great week, everyone.

Glad you are cutting again, scrapincin! Technology is wonderful when it WORKS! Great cake, justjac! And I bet he loved his card. Sounds like a wonderful birthday party. Glad you have a little time off, nylene, to prepare for your own thanksgiving. Will you be hosting it at home or going somewhere? Good luck roasting they Turkey, LisaDV. Bet with it being that fresh it will be delicious! Dh has finished his first round of tests today. He felt pretty good when I picked him up--proud he had been able to walk on the treadmill a bit. But he powered out mid afternoon and has been napping in the hotel room. Internet is VERY spotty in this hotel, so I am taking advantage of it in the restaurant. Will take dh up a big bowl of soup when I am done. Have all of my pokey cards and about half of the pea exchange cards in envelopes and ready to mail. Hoping to get some more done this evening, and again tomorrow morning while I wait for dh's tests to finish

scrapincin, it is good that you can still cut, but it's still a major pain in the neck. That computer is almost new isn't it? I hope they can fix the blue screen of death. I always freak when I start getting them. I had issues with my cameo when I upgraded to windows 10. I finally upgraded to the cameo 3 and the problems disappeared. justjac, good to "see" you. Happy Birthday to Dean! Your cake looks delicious. Your card is adorable too. I bit the bullet and bought snow tires last year. I would only drive DH's truck in the winter, and I think I've lamented on how much I hate driving that beast before. But you have reminded me that I need to have them put on. nylene, I can imagine those kids getting so excited. Those poor teachers will get nothing done. grammadee, I'm glad your dh was having a good day. I hope it continues and you have good news. I'm hoping for a very productive week next week for card making. Although we will be gone 2 days, dd goes to the balance center in Grand Rapids. I hope to mail the Pokeys by December 4th. If I need to buy for the peas, I'll do that and get them out by the end of that week. My MIL is coming up with her bf and my bil for Christmas. Have I told you all that we only have one working bathroom and that you have to go through my craft room to get to it??? I'll be cleaning my craft room to a much greater degree that it normally gets picked up. Of course, if we're having company, I can count on Don to help out. Only if we're having company though. He might even pick up after himself in a timely fashion. It's been a long day and I still have to clean up dinner. See ya' all later.

Just had to come update you! I got the email I was waiting for from the techies at Silhouette America! He told me what to do and if the first fix didn't work what I would have to do next which was to uninstall and reinstall the entire program. Well I am doing the happy Dance because the first one worked on both computers@!!!!! I tell you I have always had such good response from their Support group. I just emailed them and back came my answer. I sent the email with screen shots of the error messages over the weekend and he knew then exactly what I was talking about.
Well it is late but I will come back in the morning to read and respond to everyone's posts and gallery items. I can say I probably will not allow any more updates. Its ironic cuz I was looking forward to this one. oh well. Night everyone!

Good morning everyone! Hope all is well with you gals! grammadee I sure hope your DH goes thru the testing without any problems and that the results are good! justjac looks like your DH had a nice birthday get together! Loving the looks of that cake. Yum Yum! That card is so creative! Are those stamps or a digi design. nylene Our kids are out of school Wednesday and the rest of the week. Their dad is off today and will pick them up so I don't have kids the rest of the week! However Maggie is spending the night Wednesday night so she can help me and she is making the turkey cheese ball and her Pink Stuff. Its that mandarin orange and pineapple salad she loves. I am glad you are going to get a little bit if rest this weekend as I think you have been super busy when we don't hear from you! LisaDV You are such a busy girl! I too hope your turkey is yummy! I have had 2 turkeys in my fridge thawing I am cooking one tomorrow for left overs for the girls to take home. Then I will make the one we are going to eat that day on Thursday. msliz I want to thank you for liking all my posts. I will get a photo of me exercising when I can. After the snafu with the update and mysilhouette I have not done anything. I may not see some of you again this week so want to wish you all a Very HAPPY THANKSGIVING

Dh and I are back home. Results of tests won't be in for a couple of weeks, but nothing was flagged for immediate treatment. I ran out of envelopes for the cards I took with me, even though I counted them about 3 times before I left, so I still have about 15 more Pea exchange cards to get ready to put into the mail. Hope to get them to the post office on Thursday. Glad your computer is behaving, scrapincin. So nice that your dgd comes early to help you with Thanksgiving and make her special dish. Safe travels to everyone & their families! I am looking forward to a few days at home!

It gives me a good feeling to read the news from all of you. Everyone's health is returning, and even Cindy's computer's health!
I have some (silly) good news to share too. I found one of my misplaced boxes of craft supplies. I have all my clear stamps to play with again!
I think there's only one box of supplies still eluding me since packing it for moving 5 years ago, the one with my Cutterbee scissors and my little CM guillotine trimmer. I'm determined to find it before the spring!

It gives me a good feeling to read the news from all of you. Everyone's health is returning, and even Cindy's computer's health! Me too! Can't believe you got that program working again! Never happens for me. Enjoying everyone's posts. Checking in briefly most days but WI fi has been scarce on this trip in the mountains and parks. We are in a "luxury condo" on the Tennessee river now in Alabama for 3 days waiting for our family to arive from NC and Oklahoma. Got my pumpkin pies in the oven. Everywhere we have been has been beyond our expectations. In mount nebo state park we had a "cabin" that was like a fixer upper on hgtv. Joanna could have designed it....built in 1890 and restored last year. Shiplap, reclaimed wood paneling, jucuzzi. ...so special. Here is the sunrise from my Windows this morning. I'm already looking forward to scrapbooking all the great pics we have taken. Thanks for the safe travels wishes. Wish I hadn't heard this is the most dangerous weekend of the year ....including cooking accidents...especially when dh was opening a can of pumpkin with his knife because the can opener doesn't work. The signs in Tennessee said: buckle up, save your giblets. Think I found a link to fixer upper cabin. There were before pics in the cabin. It was really bad. Been used for storage for a Ling time. www.arkansasstateparks.com/park-finder/cabinsdetail.aspx?id=5&cid=134

At my age and state of mind, I can hide my own Easter eggs, so I share your joy at discovering your scrappy things, msliz! Good to hear from you @elaynef! Glad to hear your vacation is "exceeding expectations!" I have never been to that area of the continent, so thanks for sharing the link, too. Love your sun rise photo! And I am sure your family will all LOVE your pumpkin pies! I am thinking of you all scurrying to prepare for your big family holiday. LisaDV, I would need more than a few days to get my scraproom ready for "company" to traipse through it--even family! Good luck with that! I celebrated being here in my scraproom this morning (with dh gone to town for coffee) by slapping together some quick fall pages. Now I could actually clean up in here and put all the pretty autumn papers & supplies away... Have a few more pages that could go into this autumn's album, but they are not autumn themed, so I can return all the leaves and pumpkins and ghosts and goblins to their bins for another year. But not this morning. I just want to sit and drink my coffee and enjoy the quiet... Here is one of the pages I finished today. I searched Halloween on Pinterest and found a page design that spoke to me. Happy halloween! by Gramma Dee, on Flickr

Hooray! scrapincin 's computer and Silhouette are working together and msliz 's long lost box has been found and @elaynef 's trip has been better than expected.(love the photos and sunrise!) Things are looking up around here! grammadee, you are such a fast scrapper. I wish I could learn that! Glad you are about ready to tuck yout Halloween stuff away for another year. Glad DH's tests went well...hope the results are great. LisaDV , I had to laugh about the path to your one bathroom through the scraproom. I'm afraid we'd have to put up a port=a-potty in the back yard. My room is a nightmare right now. I won't get my Christmas Cards out until next week. I will just have Em & Doug and 3 kids here for Thanksgiving, but it's also Ashley's b-day and I'm working as often as possible on my History Project. Surprisingly, it has been really fun going down memory lane. Lots of random memories I haven't told my kids over the years.(and a few I have) Happy Thanksgivingto our US Pokeys, and happy week to you Canadians!

It sounds like you are having a good time and that makes me happy. grammadee, that's adorable. I love the tilt of the photos and the webs. Yes, I'll need to devote some real quality time to the craft room cleaning in December. nylene, how's Ashley coming on her novel? Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you can take some time in all the food prep and activities to enjoy the day with friends &/or family.
We had our Canadian Thanksgiving last month, so today is "just a regular day". We will be eating pancakes for supper at the local Seniors' club.
I plan to drive to a town about an hour away to print my Christmas letter and my family calendar pages. While I am there I will pick up a few baking supplies I couldn't find when at the local Co op store last week. There will also be a stop at the Post Office to pick up stamps for all the Pea holiday exchange cards. I will take a few in with me to ensure that I get the correct postage for that size and shape of card for US and other international destinations.
I may check out a couple places for some stocking stuffers, but for the most part I am DONE Christmas shopping (or have a plan for where & when I will complete it). DD and family will be arriving on December 18th, so I am aiming to have all my shopping, sorting, wrapping; baking; and home decorating completed before then. Alrighty then: 3 1/2 weeks to get it done! I can DO this!!!

Hi Everyone! grammadee , I hope you enjoyed your pancake dinner. Do they have dinner very often? I know my FIL goes to play cards at his senior center every week he is in town. They travel a lot. I was able to get my on sale waterpix online on Thursday, so no going to town for me on BF - HURRAY! I bought them while everyone else cleaned up from dinner. Since I cooked, I didn't have to clean. Of course, it will take me a while to put everything back to where it is suppose to be. . Yesterday, I was busy all day long - only sitting for lunch and then after dinner was made. It was at least 50F out and sunny off and on. A very good day to get things accomplished. I think that's what I dislike the most about here in Michigan - during the winter it feels very gloomy all the time. I much prefer the Colorado winter where it's still sunny so you're still happy all the time. Maybe I need to get those special lights. Have a fantastic Saturday.

Hope you get some rest today, LisaDV. And I hope you get some sunshine. I know what you mean. It can be really cold, but somehow everything seems better when the sun is shining. I saw some of those lights advertised as part of Black Friday/Cyber Monday. Can't remember where now, but maybe you could search? A couple of my 'kids' have them and say they help with the winter blues. There are a couple of Seniors' clubs in our area. The one dh belongs to has card playing every Thursday evening for members, and then a pancake supper once per month as a fund raiser. The suppers are pretty well attended, and after the paying guests leave, the members usually play cards. Dh used to attend almost every Thursday to play cards, but one of the regulars passed away and another moved to a seniors' lodge several miles away, so it isn't as much fun for him any more. We still usually catch the suppers, though. And we will be attending the Christmas get together in a couple of weeks. I have a bunch of card making supplies packed up this morning, ready for an afternoon of crafting with justjac. Now that I have the cards for the Peas in the mail, I need to focus on making those I need for friends and family. Not sure what I will do with the supplies I have packed, but thinking I will just let serendipity lead me: I love all the supplies, so surely I will love the cards that rise out of them... Hoping to get my errands done this morning, and I plan to stop in at the LSS to spend the gc I won at the crop in October. But should be ready to get crafting by early afternoon. Have a super Saturday, Pokeys!

scrapincin the light bulbs on the card are actually a stencil by The Crafters Workshop. I did see someone use a very similar stamp in a card video. LisaDV I have one of those lights at work and one at home. I think they help. I bought one at a department store and one at a drug store. I think a Walmart even has them. Happy belated Thanksgiving! @elaynef your holiday sounds amazing. msliz I'm so happy you found your box. I am forever losing things and it really frustrates me. nylene you have been so busy! Make sure to take some down time. I am nearly done my Christmas shopping. We drew names in my family for the first time and I really missed shopping for everyone. I understand their point of view, though. They don't enjoy it as much and often my sister had to do her shopping as well as my parents'. I told them they might just get random gifts throughout the year then because gifts are one of my love languages. We did a little bit of shopping last night. Crowds weren't really any bigger than during the rest of the Christmas season. I did not buy anything at Michaels. We bought a new kitchen faucet at Canadian Tire and I got a book at the mall. I was really more concerned with getting steps to try and win my Fitbit challenge. Have a wonderful day. I need to get showered and tidy up before grammadee gets here!

Managed not to cry leaving kids this morning. They all live too far away. I know the feeling! Those times with kids and grandkids are beyond precious. Hope you and dh have had a safe trip home. And that your many awesome photos will help you relive this fall adventure. And I hope all the other Pokeys have recovered from their Thanksgiving adventures. I had a fun creative afternoon Saturday making Christmas cards with justjac. I came home with tons of ideas still swirling in my head, so yesterday I was able to add some glittery touches to the ones I had done Saturday and put together a few more cards. I now have more than enough for friends and family, so this week I need to print out my mailing list and start signing cards and stuffing, sealing, and stamping envelopes. Much more mundane creating today. Cooked up the last of the tomatoes and the pumpkin this morning. Plan to make lasagne and a pumpkin dessert for Tuesday supper. Working on scanning my reunion album: 25 more pages to finish scanning. Then I can take in the stick to the printer when I pick up my calendar pages later in the week. Took some time to take advantage of Cyber Monday to order a couple of gifts and book our flights to Abbotsford in January to attend our dgd's dance recital and her sister's hockey tournament. Expedia's prices were AWESOME--about 40% off the regular flight costs. (This will be my Christmas gift to dh and myself) Have a wonderful week, Pokeys!

I decided I better show up here for a minute. I have been working on the cards for our exchange. Then I have to work on the ones for family and friends. elayne I hope you are feeling better on your way home. Maybe if you take photos it will help. It is hard to spend a little bit of time with them and then having to leave. I am glad to see everyone busy working on their creative side. Well I still have plenty to do so I can get your cards in the mail. I will be back later.

@elaynef, you are very strong! I'm impressed. I'm glad you'll have some beautiful scenery to distract you on the drive home. When will you be home? Are you home?
sounds like everyone has been busy.
My melancholy of the winter gloom could have been just the start of getting sick. I thought I was feeling a bit clearer in the head yesterday, but made a major snafu on the birthday thread - writing the date as the 37th and forgetting to attach the cake, proved I was not. Since I wasn't feeling well, the last 2 days I just sat on the couch creating cards. Today, I do feel better which is a good thing, since I have to get ready for our trip tomorrow. It's just overnight.
My hope for the pokeys this week is that everyone is staying healthy.
