I just want to know how ginacivey gets her pom poms so perfect. I have never been able to do that.

I would like to do the attic 24 crochet along in January but I was hoping to wait until after the holidays to order my yarn. Can anyone give me an idea of how long it takes wool warehouse to ship to US.

jeremysgirl if I recall correctly KelleeM ordered from Wool Warehouse earlier this year she maybe able to give you an idea. If I ship anything from here to my relative in CT it usually takes 7-10 days that’s including weekends. I’ve put the CAL on my Christmas list so if I’ve been good enough hopefully Santa 🎅🏻 will bring me the yarn as well

Can anyone give me an idea of how long it takes wool warehouse to ship to US. I’m on the east coast and when I’ve ordered it’s taken just under two weeks for my orders to arrive. I would guess it would only be a day or two different, if at all, for you. What is this Attic 24 CAL of which you speak? Not that I need any more UFPs.

It's showing as out of stock but I assume there will be more added asap. I ordered a pack last week, there was about 260 packs left at that point and even though I'm in the UK I was surprised when the kit turned up the morning after I ordered it! www.woolwarehouse.co.uk/packs/attic24-woodland-cal-stylecraft-special-dkHere's Lucy's blog post attic24.typepad.com/weblog/woodland-blanket.html

And it’s beautiful. And I will not be joining in the fun! I still have the bulk of two packs from last spring, plus a few extra skeins, and a throw sized blanket and a queen sized blanket in progress. I just can’t justify it! Thanks for the links!

I'm wanting to make crocheted snowflakes for Christmas gifts but having trouble learning how to do a magic ring or magic circle. I've watched YouTube videos frame by frame but for some reason it isn't working for me. You can literally just use a slip knot, if that helps. ❤️

Great crafts everyone!
I am not making too much this year because I am too busy.
Of the few things I did decide to make, I totally bit off more than I can chew skill wise. I started making some metal clay ornaments for my mom and grandmother and yowza.
Who would have thought that it requires practice, patience and talent!?
(That was sarcasm. Everyone would have thought that, except for me, with my obnoxious ego. Sure I have never done this before, but I totally can! Ha!)

I’ve made this large lapghan for my cousin using Aldi’s version of Caron cakes That is really pretty - I love the colors. When you say "Aldi's version" - do you mean the grocery chain? Do they sell yarn? I am making a blanket with Caron Cakes - I have gone through 3 cakes and the size is currently 48" x 48" - I have 3 more cakes so not sure how big the final blanket will be Close up to show detail:

disneypal, that is hands down the best project I've seen with the Caron cakes. JoP, would love to crochet along with you. I just thought the colors in that one we're beautiful. KelleeM, thank you for giving me a timeline. I'll plan on two weeks to receive my yarn then.

That’s gorgeous! Do you have a link to the pattern? Thank you! Yes, here is a link to the pattern. When I got the pattern, it was free but now it is $4.25 - worth the price though. She does have a video tutorial for it and it is free so perhaps you can use that instead if you don't want to purchase the pattern.

Not a gift! I made this sweater (the Galaxie sweater, by Quince and Co.) for myself, and here I am selfishly enjoying it. Attachments:

This, on the other hand, was a gift for my youngest, but I didn't want to sit on it for the holidays because it is cold all of a sudden. This is the Canvas Kid Cardigan from Making Magazine's Dots issue. Attachments:

Well I thought i was on the home stretches of my 2 on-a-whim cardigan gifts, but need to frog a few rows on the hoods and then proceed with the edgings. I'm not sure that I'm pleased with either one, and I doubt they'll even get worn, so probably won't do this project again.
Still have the 4 hooded blankets to get done before Christmas too. 2 are just waiting on details, one is about 2/3 finished and the other I can't decide what I want to do with so it's still on the drawing board.

Having barely touched my crochet for months (too much work, holidays and before that just too warm for it!) I really need to get stuck back in to get the two blankets I have on the go finished.
The coast ripple blanket has about 40 or so rows to go, plus the border. Not too bad. On a good day I'll get a couple of rows done.
Nuts About Squares - which started off at such a great pace - I have a few squares to finish (3 or 4 maybe) then joining and border to do. But before I can join anything I need to weave in all the ends - oh how I am cursing myself for not doing every last one as I went, they seem eternal now! - and block them all. I won't get much time at home over Christmas so it will run into next year for sure. Probably end of January before I can get it done.
So, someone explain to me why on earth I just started the Hotel of Bees shawl? I've had the yarn for a while (waiting for me to finish another project... lol) and I just couldn't resist the call of a new project. But oh heck, this way WIP madness lies!
