As reported by Fox News, CNN explained that those aren’t cross hairs, it’s a computer tool used in creating graphics. It was an error that the alignment tool wasn’t turned off once the caption was added. Excerpt here CNN said the following in a statement to Fox News: “Chris has already addressed this issue publicly. The image in question is a framing mark used in film and video production to frame a shot. Nothing more. A producer who created the motion graphic inadvertently left that frame in the GIF. When it came to our attention, the tweet containing the GIF was deleted and replaced with explanation. There is nothing more to say.” If I were Cillizza I would fire the incompetent producer who can't use a phone app correctly and then tweeted the GIF out on my verified twitter page without me seeing the clip and catching his horrible mistake.

Was it a mistake or wasn't it a mistake? That is the question.
Maybe it was a purposeful mistake?
I'm being facetious...or am I?

I don't know about other people but when I post a picture or a video, I always, 100%, look at it after it's posted. I would have noticed a mistake like that within seconds.

@dottyscrapper , The who, what, where isn’t what I was referring to in your post. It was the word gymnastics that was used. There wasn't any "word gymnastics" in my original post to Gia. It was a repeat of what the Iraqi PM said as per the report from Reuters as was the rest of the details in that post. Foolishly, I actually thought some might be interested in how the arrest occurred, how wrong can one be! Bullshit. I said: 5 top ISIS leaders were just captured. You said: They were described by the Iraqi Prime Minister as some of the most wanted not the top 5 leaders. You said in response to Aunt Kelly correcting YOU: I agree that there are various descriptions of them but they are not the 5 most wanted IMO. When you come here to "correct me" with "some of the most wanted" and then come back and say "they are NOT the most wanted", that is the epitome of word gymnastics. Heaven forbid if someone had more info to the story that has been known for days and felt willing to share that info, they're just met with sarcasm and eye rolls and whatever else you chose to throw out there. You obviously don't want the details of how, where or when. You are so full of shit, you've got to be gagging on shit by now. It's clear by your own words you did not come to this thread to share more details. You came here to stir shit up WITH ME, just like every SINGLE response from you to me and your own words give you away.

For some reason the board software is mucking up quote dates. I've been seeing it for a while now.

The other day I posted something on the board and by the time I caught the typo in it, several people had already quoted it.

A typo is nowhere near as glaringly obvious as a big black circle on a picture you just posted. A big black circle that fills the frame and can't be missed.

"Shrugs" are fine when things don't matter, but in this case, it could mean a matter of life or death.

Random thought...I read and watch the two dissenting sides going at each other and I can never understand why so many can't actually HEAR the other side with any sort of logical comprehension.
And then the Yanny/Laurel thing came about. I think that's it, in a way. For every person who hears Yanny, another hears Laurel.
I've seen so many replies to posts over the last few days years that make no sense and I've now started to think, "Ahhh, X said Laurel, Y heard Yanny."
Explains a lot.

That thought crossed my mind when the blue/black vs. white/gold dress thing was going on! People hear the word they hear, can't hear the other and just can NOT understand how anyone CAN hear the one they can't.

As I watched the royal wedding, I was thinking about the positive effect of Prince Harry marrying a biracial woman.
Some background and context:
My dad was transferred from Pearl Harbor to a reserve submarine on the Mississippi River in NOLA when I was entering my sophomore year in 1963. In Hawaii I had friends of just about every race on the planet so moving to Louisiana was certainly a culture shock. We arrived in NOLA and, in registering for school, had to prove I was caucasian because the schools were all segregated. (Interestingly, the black high school was newer than my high school.)
Anyhow, decades later, some of my classmates now have grandchildren and great-grandchildren who are biracial. A few have mentioned how these children are enthralled with Meghan and what a great role-model she has become.
Just thought I'd share this here.

I remember when a lot of people were enthralled with the Obamas. (not me) but others. The ONE thing I was happy about WAS that he was a black man that was president and I had hoped he'd make a positive difference for some people. Maybe he has, maybe he hasn't. I wasn't impressed with his agenda for our country--which to me, was the important part.

Yes, I was so glad to see that Haspel was sworn in. The other thing about this that delighted me was that it was not all along party lines for once. There were Republicans who voted against her and Democrats that voted FOR her. That's the way government SHOULD work--but never does anymore.

Sometimes I think Republicans & Democrats are like divorced parents who care more about getting the kids to hate the other one than they are their well-being.

Anyone else see this tweet from CNN's Chris Cillizza? Hopefully the SS will be paying him a visit very soon. That was cute. I got tired of only having heard rough copies of this while people were talking over it, so I found it on YouTube. Wow. What a difference! Same with the dress. A different copy, a different answer from me. So weird. Anywho.... This also popped up and was so cute I wanted to share - be sure to watch until the very end. Ellen

I was wondering if anyone was talking about this! I think the teams will just pay the fines. Like the guy said on Tucker Carlson tonight, a better idea would be to say if you don't stand you don't play.

Some people seem to forget that employers can make rules for their employees while at work or while representing their business.
