katieanna my theory is that whatever "side" you're on at the moment is relevant to how you see and feel the vitriol. Like I told my kids growing up when they were picking on each other and the "he/she started it" and claims that "the other was worse" : it just feels that way cuz only the pokes aimed at you (or your side) are the ones you feel. You don't "feel" the pain of the attacks from yourself or the other side so you are less likely to take notice and subconsciously count. on this board? perhaps there are more liberals. I don't know. But I've seen both sides on here make personal attacks beyond the current discussion make me uncomfortable. On facebook and elsewhere, I've seen and heard attacks from both sides that makes me sad for humanity. There is no way you can really count "who is worse" and "who started it". That also leads to my thought that it's the far left and right that are the noisiest while most of us (I hope) lie somewhere in the middle of those. ETA consider all the "you"s above general

I DO know that for sure. I knew I didn't like Hillary, and I knew I didn't like Trump and I knew that if they were the candidates I wouldn't be voting for them and I didn't. Ok. But if you keep believing that then you are the perfect target for the Russian bots. Good. I'll take them over you.  |

The fact is that a year and half after the election, some people simply cannot accept that a great many people disliked Hillary and would have voted for anyone who ran against her. The ironic part is that these same people proudly proclaim that 2020 they vote "for a dead cat" if that was Trump's opponent. Actually it’s more like a year and a half after the election those who voted against Hillary still believe she is as bad and/or worse than trump which helps justify their vote. If I was to ask you all or anyone yon provide a specific list of actual events that puts Hillary in the same class trump all I would get is silence or “you know”. or “look it up”.. The funny thing about all this, those who swear Hillary is just as bad or worse than trump are short on comparisons and specifics. Now I can pound out page after page of why trump should never have been president. With facts. That is why I don’t get why those who think Hillary is the worse person ever are silent when asked for specifics. I think it would be easy peasy to put it in words. My guess is somewhere along the way some decided to “hate” Hillary and have no specific reason why, but just do. |

Did Russians run ads on Facebook and elsewhere? Yes. Did some people get duped? I'd say yes, but just like that Nigerian Prince has $5 million to send you as long as you send in a check, and the IRS is going to sue you unless you pay.
I do not use Facebook. Never have. I also knew I wasn't going to vote for Hillary. HRC ran ads NON-STOP in my area. All of the time. Don't think I saw but maybe a few for Trump. He just didn't run ads here. Still didn't vote for her. Why is that so hard for so many to believe?
HRC got more votes than Trump. If it weren't for the electoral college, she'd be president. She got MORE votes than him. If you're suggesting Russia was smarter than HRC and targeted Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania, then shame on her, SHE got duped.
Honestly, I find it insulting when someone is telling you they knew they weren't going to vote for HRC and then it's suggested they were duped by Russian bots. She didn't like Hillary. I didn't like Hillary. A LOT of people didn't like Hillary. All of those people that showed up at Trump's campaign rallies were real. Those are the real people that voted for Trump. To think all of those votes were because of Russian bots is naive.
Exactly. But (we, you in general) will never be believed. They (liberals) would rather believe it was the Russians that did it. |
