I'm assuming he is pissed that he is starting to see the real Trump he supports. I think these reactions are going to be more frequent in the coming months. Many feel duped. I, for one, have ZERO SYMPATHY for any of them.

I think he is angry because there should have been MORE missile hits? That the projected number was "70 or so" and that it was reduced to "5 or 6"? He seems to think that Trump was forced into the reduction in firepower by "blackmail"? I might have the numbers wrong but I refuse to watch that clip more than once. He also seems upset b/c he feels he has to extend his work week with the timing of the missile strikes. I was wondering about the timing of the strikes as well, but for different reasons. Friday evening in Washington is Saturday morning in Syria. The Sabbath. Is that a good thing if the strikes are against industrial areas (ie would most of the people who work there be at home or at the mosque?)

I, for one, have ZERO SYMPATHY for any of them. Oh. I thought he was reacting to the bombing in Syria. Hmmm. I would be the first to admit that I am not the most astute judge of people, but even I, completely oblivious to politics prior to the months leading up to the election, could see in the summer of 2016 that Trump would write the playbook for Disastrous Presidency 101 and was totally mystified that people thought either a) he remotely demonstrated any qualities that would make him successful or b) he would change/settle down/become presidential etc. once he got into office. As maddening and terrifying as the past 1 year, 83 days, 22 hours, and 2 minutes of this administration has been, it's been fascinating to me to see the psychology that has come into play, particularly the willingness of people to brazenly lie, deny reality and embrace evil.

Kyle Griffin....
“Sessions asked Republican donor Elliott Broidy (the one who just resigned from the RNC finance team) to recommend nominees for US Attorneys, ProPublica reports.
Broidy is not a lawyer and was convicted for his role in a ‘09 corruption and bribery case.”
I guess in a strange sort of way Broidy might know who are good and bad attorneys. Unbelievable.

I don't know how to copy/share tweets. This one concerns me from Seth Abramson.
1/ The message Trump is sending via the Libby pardon ISN'T a message to Flynn, Papadopoulos or Gates. People realize those men have already dished to Mueller, right? The message he's sending is to Hicks, Clovis, Lewandowski, Cohen, other aides: you can lie to Mueller with impunity.
2/ And given that Joe diGenova and his wife (textbook Boris-and-Natasha villains for decades now) represent Erik Prince in addition to Clovis, I think Trump is explicitly clearing Prince to continue lying to Congress, Mueller, and everyone else about the things he did for Trump.

France issues report detailing evidence of Assad role in chemical attacksBY MAX GREENWOOD - 04/14/18 03:42 PM EDT France issues report detailing evidence of Assad role in chemical attacks France declassified a report on Saturday laying out evidence that officials said proves that a chemical attack in Syria last week was carried out by the government of President Bashar Assad. The report claims that several chemical strikes were carried out in the Damascus suburb of Douma on April 7, and that symptoms experienced by the victims – skin burns, suffocation and other breathing difficulties, among other markers – were consistent with the effects of chlorine gas. "Reliable intelligence indicates that Syrian military officials have coordinated what appears to be the use of chemical weapons containing chlorine on Douma, on April 7," the report, released by the French Foreign Ministry, reads. The report also states that the Syrian government has carried out a number of chemical weapons strikes since April 4, 2017 – the same day a chemical attack in Syria's northern Idlib province left more than 80 civilians dead. Cohen ordered to disclose client list by MondayTrump's longtime personal attorney went to federal court to stop prosecutors from looking at materials seized in a recent FBI raid. By LAURA NAHMIAS and JOSH GERSTEIN 04/13/2018 09:11 AM EDT Updated 04/13/2018 06:45 PM EDT NEW YORK — Lawyers for President Donald Trump and his longtime personal attorney Michael Cohen went to court Friday trying to stop federal prosecutors from getting at private material — but wound up with a judge ordering them to disclose Cohen’s client list in public. U.S. District Judge Kimba Wood on Friday ordered attorneys for Cohen to hand over a list of Cohen’s law clients and proof of their relationship by 10 a.m. Monday, so she can decide whether materials seized from Cohen’s office by federal law enforcement agents last week should be protected by attorney-client privilege. That list will be a public record, Wood said, because the identities of an attorney’s clients are not subject to attorney-client privilege unless the mere name itself would reveal the kind of advice sought or given. Wood’s order raises the possibility of further embarrassing disclosures involving Cohen, who is already at the center of a legal dispute involving adult-film actress Stormy Daniels, who is suing the president to void a nondisclosure agreement negotiated by Cohen concerning a sexual encounter Daniels says she had with Trump in 2006. More at link: www.politico.com/story/2018/04/13/michael-cohen-hearing-fbi-raid-522053Very interesting. It is to decide what is privileged.

Jordan fires warning shot at McCarthyThe hard-liner almost certainly can’t win the speakership — but he might be able to extract concessions for conservatives, or himself.By RACHAEL BADE and KYLE CHENEY 04/13/2018 10:34 AM EDT Updated 04/13/2018 04:41 PM EDTConservative firebrand Rep. Jim Jordan’s step toward a long-shot bid for House speaker Friday was most notable for the stern warning it delivered to the top contender for the post, Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy: You don't have the votes yet. The House Freedom Caucus founder and his allies know he’s unlikely to ever garner the 218 votes needed to win the gavel. But Jordan’s declaration is likely less about winning than leverage. The Ohio Republican could easily rally several dozen conservatives to support him, blocking any other candidate — including McCarthy — from becoming speaker. Jordan could then use their votes to extract concessions from whoever is seeking the position, in this case, likely McCarthy. A campaign for speaker, in other words, could make Jordan a kingmaker even if he fails. “They’re putting a marker down and saying, ‘You have to deal with me,’” said one Republican lawmaker who asked not to be named. Much more at link: www.politico.com/story/2018/04/13/freedom-caucus-jordan-weighs-bid-for-house-speaker-522060Not so sure this is good. Well it isn't good at all. Hopefully none of them will get Speaker!! Minority Leader maybe. ** Scalise to back McCarthy for speakerBy RACHAEL BADE 04/13/2018 07:41 PM EDT Updated 04/13/2018 07:55 PM EDTHouse Majority Whip Steve Scalise will endorse speaker hopeful Kevin McCarthy when the California Republican declares for the post, the Louisianan’s office told POLITICO. “Whip Scalise’s focus remains on moving our conservative agenda forward and maintaining our Republican majority,” said Scalise spokesman Chris Bond. “When a Speaker’s race is called, he’ll be supporting Leader McCarthy.” www.politico.com/story/2018/04/13/scalise-mccarthy-speaker-house-endorsement-523040They don't even give Ryan time to finish.

linkIt’s bad enough the current Federal Government and US companies want to trash this country. And now they are going to make deals with foreigners to trash our country as well? From Salon.... “How a Chilean billionaire could poison a Minnesota wilderness”Trump’s Interior Department is reinstating two 1966 leases, written before today’s federal environmental laws, that could allow a Chilean mining company to build a giant copper-and-nickel mine adjacent to the Boundary Waters wilderness area in northern Minnesota. The mining company is controlled by Andrónico Luksic, whose family controls a mining, banking and industrial empire that Forbes estimates is valued at $13.1 billion. Luksic also dabbles in Washington, D.C., residential real estate and has a business relationship with the Trump family. He is First Son-in-Law Jared Kushner’s and First Daughter Ivanka Trump’s landlord. The Boundary Waters is a 1.1 million-acre wilderness beloved by canoeists and hikers in the Superior National Forest along Minnesota’s border with Canada. Mining in the area could result in acid damage that can last for centuries. “There’s a reason that the Boundary Waters is one of the most visited wilderness areas in America: It’s an incredible place,” Sally Jewell, then the Interior Department secretary, said in 2016. Jorjani traced the history of the land, beginning with an interest in the land in 1952 from International Nickel Company Inc., and various meetings, phone calls, memos and other documents before concluding that the Obama administration erred and “improperly interpreted the leases.” A study published in the Journal of Hydrology in 2016 found that polluted water from mining near the Boundary Waters could potentially affect up to 2.3 million acres of American and Canadian public lands. More than 74,000 people urged the Forest Service in 2016 not to renew the leases. Becky Rom, the head of the Campaign to Save the Boundary Waters, keeps a copy of the federal Wilderness Act of 1964, signed by former President Lyndon Johnson which helped create federally designated wilderness areas. “Every generation has a responsibility,” said Rom whose father helped fight to create the Boundary Waters. “It’s not something I could walk away from.” Once again, elections have consequences. 🚫 #MAGA

This is too funny for words...
Sarah Sanders....
“Last night the President put our adversaries on notice: when he draws a red line he enforces it. (Inside the Situation Room as President is briefed on Syria - Official WH photos by Shealah Craighead)”
Which prompted this response from Walter Shaub...
“Fascinating tweet in which Sarah Sanders reveals that Mike Pence was simultaneously in Peru and Washington. If this new capability doesn’t scare our enemies, nothing will. #QuantumEntanglementMike”
So I looked at the picture Sanders attached to her tweet. Sure enough there was Pence.
Poor tiny hands, trying so hard to get his own version of the iconic situation room picture with President Obama and Hillary. And his own press secretary blew it. Couldn't of happened to a more deserving man. 😀
Sorry don’t know how to bring the picture over here.
