She's awful. Thanks for taking care of the kids and pops, too. You're the right person for the job. You are showing them more motherly love and guidance than they've ever received.
As for finding her -- do you have a somewhat recent photo? This might be one of those times to make social media work for you. Make a public post and ask for it to be shared. You don't want to tip her off that the law is after her. Maybe cook up some BS story about dad being really sick and the family is looking for her to come to his bedside. Final wishes, heartstrings kind of stuff that will get people to share it. Someone, somewhere will have seen her. She won't be able to resist showing up to try to cash in on any death benefit there might be.

They aren't actively looking, they are just waiting for her to get caught doing something else wrong - and she usually does. And yes, the older brother and sister have filed a report with CPS in regards to the little ones. I would think that with police involvement, that there would be a warrant out for her, and she should be placed in the Lein system. Does she have a car, license, license plate number? They should also place her on the interstate system so Texas can also watch for her. Such a sad situation and you are commended for helping. My thoughts are with you and this young man. Thinking positive thoughts for a quick resolution. |

Unless he had his debit card taken by force, he may have no legal recourse against his daughter. That is what the police told my grandmother in a similar situation involving her daughter (she admittedly was dumb and gave her daughter her credit card to spend $100 on clothes for work; daughter went on a shopping spree). He should be prepared for the possibility that the contents of his bank account are gone for good.

this gentleman's story is just awful- my heart hurts, just reading everything his daughter did to him.  Not just because of what all happened to him because of the things she did-- which in and of itself is just horrific- but also because of the sham of a relationship he 'thought' he had with his daughter, as well. I hope they find her soon, that they can get her children away from her, and that they put her away for a really long time. |

Aren't these federal crimes? Are your local police the ones you go to when a federal crime has been committed? This is so heartbreaking. Makes my blood boil and, at the same time, makes me cry for this elderly gentleman.

My step cousin did this to her mother. For years. Unfortunately, this is not uncommon. There is a whole subset of people to whom an elderly relative and their pension and meds are just a resource to exploit.

Thank goodness you are involved and helping them. I don't see any way he will recover any of the money; my guess is she's spent it all already. But maybe she can be brought to justice - and I hope she gets a LONG sentence for her crimes.

I would also suggest calling the Department of Aging where you live (if you have not already) and ask them for help regarding elder abuse/fraud. They can also help you with Adult Protective Services.

Ya know, you should post a picture of her on Facebook with something like *Has anyone seen this woman?* and ask people to share it. Someone will know where she is. Let the Peas know because we cover every square mile of these United States. What she did is heartbreaking. |
