An 8x8 print is 0.99, so essentially just shy of a dollar for every (pretty generic) recipe she’s shared? No thanks. As someone who usually champions a less “begin with the ending in mind” approach I’m kind of surprised she advocates for printing one recipe per page in a bulky binder compared to the average cookbook, which is much thinner and has several recipes per page. Alas, I don’t have the large custom built kitchen to hold it all

I want to do the 8.5x11 size since I have an abundance of binders. I've mostly been using the Cricut From my Kitchen cartridge for divider pages. I've been slowly buying paper that has a country kitchen or 50's kitch kind of vibe. I'll probably just print them on regular paper. I have a clipboard on the wall I attach them to when I make a recipe. I must have sheet protectors. I'm a messy cook.

Why would I want to purchase her recipes? The only recipes I would purchase are from you know - qualified and renowned chefs.

Bore off Becky. You’re irrelevant. Stop trying to make relevance happen.

Thanks for posting the link. I'm not familiar with the website but I think for $6 and you get the PSD files to make it your own, it's worth it.  

A few years ago I wanted to capture my favorite recipes and those of my family and friends to create a recipe binder for Christmas gifts. I was surprised at how few digital recipe/cookbook templates there were. I tried to create my own template but I didn't know where to start and failed miserably.

I came across a class from Scrapaneers for Recipes for $20. The files were set up for pocket scrappers but they came with PSD files, so I knew I could use them as a base to recreate my own templates to suit my needs. I wanted to add sections area to put any notes or changes to the recipe, any family stories that go with the recipe, and where the original recipe came from (cookbook, person, website). I checked and I don't see this class offered anymore. I logged into my account and I was able to download the kit, but couldn't access the videos.  

Anyway, I thought you all might get a kick out of this recipe that's in my book.  I printed it back when you could print it for free on her website. (Yes, back in the day I followed BH). Whenever I'm invited to a BBQ or party, I'm always asked to bring these. When I walk in the door guests stalk me and ask if I've brought my "Peanut Things".

ETA:  In case you're interested, I need to update the notes in the recipe.  We like them cold so we keep them in the 'fridge. When I make them for DH and I, I make a full batch and freeze them, uncut, wrapped in plastic wrap, in the freezer.

For the love of all things good and proper, won't someone please notify Kristina Werner so she can regale Becky w/the ins and outs of the ills of copying??!?!??!?!

More than a little.  I don't understand why such a wealthy woman needs to monetize every dang thing: her favorite things, her recipes, etc.

Put a little out into the world for free, Becky, as recompense for your enormous luck in being born intelligent, middle class, w/a loving family, etc.

In her effort to monetize everything she's going to be selling her used shoes on her website soon! Good grief it's like every day its something else, I literally can't stomach her anymore!

This recipe thing is ridiculous.  Like so many others have said I would do this for family recipes, but never for her recipes.  I doubt she invented any of the recipes she would be shilling, I bet all of them are ones easily found online for free. 

Sadly, there will be plenty of buyers though.  I wonder what is in Becky that makes her so desperate.  Does she need the validation?  The adoration?  The feeling of contributing?  It can’t just be money, she seems like she lives a very comfortable life and doesn’t need to work.  It is so odd to me how hard she is working to find something that will  stick.  She had a good thing going, why doesn’t she just stick with that if she needs the attention so badly? 

She had such a big following with CK and PL maybe she feels like she has to come up with something great,idk but I'm sure not interested in buying.

Also she switched it so the app is free now.

Which actually royally pissed me off because I paid for it way back when.

It is?!  I haven't downloaded it for my new phone (had since December) because I haven't needed it since then...I like to print off the rounded ones with square corners, but now I might need to download it so I can work on saving my faves and uploading them to my computer to print off again.  I had been waiting to hear about a 99 app sale again since they used to drop the price of the app to 99 cents during those.

I think on Android you have to repurchase.  That's also why I don't have picframe anymore...haven't had that in 2 phones now.  Downloading it now.  I am curious about the journling on photos thing that is an add-on.  I don't mind paying for that.  I have an app that gives me play store credit when you take surveys that I will use to pay for it.

I think the journaling on photo add on this is why I'm so annoyed that she switched the app to free, she came out with that update at the same time.  So for people who previously paid for the app they were stuck with a free product (that they paid for) and had to pay more to get the update? It seemed like a huge money grab to me--make the people who already paid pay again to get the update?  I think the right thing to do would've been to announce that the app was now free and there was a paid add on, but then give the add on to everyone who previously paid for the app as a thank you for buying the app when it was pay.

Maybe i'm being petty, I know it's just a couple of dollars, but it rubs me the wrong way.

My guess was that the app wasn’t selling anymore. Anyone who was interested had already bought it and the only revenue she was getting from it was from in app purchases. She probably figured if she made it free lots of new customers would download it and she would have a larger market to try to sell her in app purchases to?
