I am thinking about filling out the form for her "services" JUST to see what she comes up with...present her with a really good issue I need clarity on, (choosing toenail polish or something of that level) and see what the advice ends up being and how much I am told I will need to pay for it. Heck, I think we should all do it! Give the woman a chance! No problem too big or too small! No obligation! beckyproudfit.com/clarity-coaching

I really have an issue with people who offer professional help without a license. Really. And her training came from Walt Disney? I'd be curious to know how what training she received. Ugh. I hope people don't take this seriously. If you need clarity, see a real professional. And I do wonder how her religion ties into all of this.

Am I confusing her with someone else, but I thought she was Cinderella? you're not confused. I don't know which princess she was, but yeah- she was a Disney Princess. (Disney cast member, right? isn't' that what they call them?) Unless she also did some work in marketing or brand development while she was at Disney that she's keeping secret. They actually aren’t cast members or the princess either, they are “the friend of so and so”. Not kidding, that is what they are trained to say. I am actually shocked she talks so much about the fact that she was a Disney Princess, it is super frowned upon even after you leave. You aren’t allowed to talk about it at all on social media when you are working there. She reminds me of the former HS cheerleaders or football players who never get over their glory days.

What this thread is missing is the earth shattering contribution to future posterity that was made when Becky announced that she had learned a life hack from her physician husband that hydrogen peroxide gets out blood stains.... In all seriousness, I used to tear out Becky’s sketches and save them. I left scrapbooking around 2011 and it was Project Life that brought me back into it in 2013. I truly appreciate the contributions that she’s made to the craft but lately it’s been a train wreck and pretty distasteful to see the direction things are heading. This is similar to my experience PL brought me back into scrapbooking and then I found Studio Calico and got back into “regular pages.” It’s kind of sad both Becky and SC lost their focus.

I keep almost unfollowing BH on Instagram. I just can't with her content. I'm not interested in the podcast or the lip gloss or the self importance. But she said at some point that there would be some new physical Project Life products in the fall, and I don't want to miss that announcement. I'm sure it will end up being nothing I'm interested in (probably a couple albums and page protector sizes to support PL App printing but nothing for OG PL), so I need to get over it and click that button. I wish her well, but her brand is no longer for me--even though I literally do Project Life scrapbooking... but whatever...

I’m going on record to say this is my favorite thread to check, so this is in NO WAY a defense of Shilling Sister BP. But, the Disney Institute does have a corporate training program that is really quite good. All about customer service and branding so you can build your own positive culture in a company. I’ve never even been to any Disney park and don’t really plan to, but the professional learning I attended with people in my school district was excellent. However, one does not attend customer service training and become a Clarity Coaching guru. <snort>.

Check in on this thread a couple of times a month and you’ll hear what’s going on without having to subject yourself to her daily nonsense. I unfollowed a long time ago and I still know what she’s up to. You can always go check her account without following her too.

The only thing I'm missing out on is my blood pressure going up when I see the stupid shit she posts!! I'm re-negotiating my relationship to Instagram after their constant User Interface testing got on my last nerve and then I watched The Social Dilemma which just cemented my dislike of what IG has become, and I think I'm going to unfollow all of the "celebrity" accounts, Influencers, and many of the inspiration accounts - anyone I would hesitate to start a DM conversation with for starters, and anyone who makes my blood pressure rise. It's easy enough to go look at their feed if I want to see what's going on with them, if I even remember/care.

Dollars to donuts her "training" was the company-provided orientation and onboarding, and basic customer service classes that all employees are required to attend. Her hustle is marketing herself as a consultant involved in branding when all she did was attend required employee training.

I think Becky Higgins and Becky Proudfit should be confidence coaches "Con artist" is short for "confidence artist". Jess sayin. Between that definition and the "con" inherent in proselytizing, I think you've got something there.

I have categories that interest me and I move the account to the appropriate folder. I've tried doing the thing where you can have more than one account on one profile and it just does not work for me. There have been many accounts that have not been popping up in my feed I forgot about and I do like.
I prefer to browse by interest and the current set up of Instagram doesn't work with how I think.

I just wish that Instagram would go back to a chronological feed instead of showing us what they think we want to see... the photo my friend posted 3 days ago still comes up in my feed even though I follow a lot of other accounts.

joblackford your post actually made me go look at who I was following. A lot of them I always scrolled by without reading, so why was I still following? 🤷🏻♀️ So I ended up unfollowing a bunch of people/accounts/groups on IG and Facebook. Thanks for the incentive! 👍🏻

ahh- that's what's been happening, huh? I wondered why I keep seeing the same things over and over... I hit the 'home' button, and sometimes I get the choice to see 'new posts' but accounts I follow kind of 'disappear' on me, too.

Re: distancing on IG. The IG app will keep the last accounts you checked (not following) in memory so when you go to manually search, it'll show you the list of those. It's a great way to have those "stored" away to check every now and then. If you want to get away from IG entirely but still want to check stories, use one of the websites that anonymously extracts them like StoriesDown.

A lot of them I always scrolled by without reading, so why was I still following? 🤷🏻♀️ So I ended up unfollowing a bunch of people/accounts/groups on IG and Facebook. Thanks for the incentive! 👍🏻 Yay! I have to admit that I haven't unfollowed anyone in the last few days, despite intending to. But my list was already fairly lean. I was shocked by how many accounts most people follow TBH. I try to keep mine around 150 so I can see everything everyone posts every day (about two thirds of people I follow don't post daily or hardly ever). I have been only scrolling IG in my laptop browser (with an adblocker) and it's a much cooler place without ads, with a keyboard to type comments, and much more intentional viewing, not the reflexive "I'm bored maybe I need a dopamine hit!" And if I see someone's post about checking out their YT or blog post I can open it in another tab for later instead of thinking I'll remember. Closing out of the app was like walking through a door - wiped my memory clean so I never did look at people's blogs. So I think this is better for viewing inspiration posts as well.

Free eBook for Now: Resumes Are Dead and What to Do About It The other world these people live in, man... I can't figure out if it's actual privilege or a refusal to join the ranks of the 99% by pretending they don't belong. Money grab upon money grab upon money grab. It must get mentally exhausting to chase the next con job idea. At best, résumés aren't enough for specific fields and may be over in the traditional sense for some niche job spheres in some parts of the world. But most people on this planet still need a good ol' résumé and cover letter to apply for a job.
