Y'all know what I hate the most about Ali's December Daily kits? That the reds don't match between the main kit and PP mini kit. Wouldn't it make more sense to use the same red so people would want to get both kits and mixed them together? Am I just overthink this??

Wow. You guys have given me a lot to think about! I have read each of your posts over the last 2 days or so but I have plans to go back through them all because I know there were several comments that had me thinking. I'll be back later to post! I also happened to think that Tiffany (yeah..of Tiffany and Tracie) made a December album last season and it was all about her childhood Christmases/memories and I really, really liked the idea. There are a few things holding me back from doing that exclusively though. I moved this summer so it'll be our first Christmas in the new house not to mention our little guy who at 3.5 years old is sooooooooooooooooo excited for Christmas this year lol. He's been asking if it's Christmas since July! Nicole, I bet as you share in your son’s Christmas excitement, it will spark lots of details from your own childhood memories. I would make an album of your memories that you randomly add to as you remember things or find a photo or revisit traditions with your son. Something with no deadlines or pressure. Just fun memories documented with your favorite products. A December Faves (top 10) approach like Nettio Designs does would be a low stress way to capture 2018 where you have a new house to document as well. It would be so much fun to have a little person who is so excited for Christmas!!!

He then left to start his own scrapbook company, released 2 or 3 initial collections (the alphas were almost a carbon copy of what Fancy Pants was offering at the time except there were no capital F's...maybe no f's at all, but no capital ones for sure) and then he and his company vanished. No surprise he went out of business, who would buy alphas that were missing a letter? With the tariffs that the orange one is causing, we might end up seeing some of the really small scrapbook companies have no choice but to fold because they can't remain competitive. This made me LOL. Y'all know what I hate the most about Ali's December Daily kits? That the reds don't match between the main kit and PP mini kit. Wouldn't it make more sense to use the same red so people would want to get both kits and mixed them together? Am I just overthink this?? I agree! Also, all of the "shop items" coordinate with the main kit and not the mini kit. I really wasn't a fan of the main kit and didn't need that many things, but I really wanted some of the shop products. I also really liked the PP mini kit, but the reds didn't coordinate so I knew I couldn't use it with the shop items I picked up so I'm just going to use my stash + the few shop items I picked up (and also check out FYC & KP releases...) and I skipped the mini kit. It was a dumb design choice IMO... especially to not have any of the shop items coordinate w/ the mini kit.

My crate paper came today from ACOT (I preordered) and it is GORGEOUS! I love it so much. I bought a lot of it (well, like 1 piece of most of the paper). I love the glossy alpha and the gold sticker puffy words are great. I also picked up the tag making kit and it's quite a lot for 5$. The cardstock stickers are nice too. How orange is the red (it looks quite light and a bit orange for the papers)? Are you doing an unboxing video? How big are the elements of the tag ephemera pack vs the normal ephemera pack? (sorry about all the questions!)
I've only been waiting for this line to drop since June. What's three months? Three months is nothing... Come on, scrapbook.com, the internationals are growing impatient!

This is awesome! I love DCVW (which I've never even heard of) Blue Noel and White Christmas, and Lawn Fawn's Really Rainbow Christmas is unique and fun. Not that I needed to add anything more to my wishlist that includes MME and the blue Kaisercraft collection. OMG! So many great lines! I don't see an entire line I would want, but definitely bits and pieces. I LOVE the Tim Holtz line and can see it used for other purposes.

I literally couldn't stop thinking about the DCWV lines and I bought both blue noel and white christmas. I love how they have a bunch of collections each with a different color theme. I know Kaisercraft did a similar concept but I love the DCWV designs so much more. Never even heard of the company, but I bought them on the website below, which had free shipping(!!). Looks like the brand is not carried at most places? www.tupelodesignsllc.com/

DCWV (Die Cuts With a View) has been around I know since at least when I started scrapbooking in 2004. Here in the US they are known in the scrapbooking industry for their various cardstock pads and patterned paper pads although they are not just limited to those. They make letter boards now and planner accessories etc. I think back in the day they used to have a pretty large line of embellishments also and if you were on their design team you were spoiled with loads each month! You have good taste!

I've only seen their paper though, no embellishments or any other products.

DCWV Stacks are, like, legendary. I see American Crafts is sticking with the "stack" denomination. I do wonder how the old logo is going to affect the global audience who is likely not that aware of this brand and might be put off be the "vintage" look and odd acronym.

How orange is the red (it looks quite light and a bit orange for the papers)? Are you doing an unboxing video? How big are the elements of the tag ephemera pack vs the normal ephemera pack? (sorry about all the questions!) I just saw this and I'm at work. I'll look when I get home. But no, I won't be doing an unboxing video (although I did force the kid to stop doing her homework to have a look with me!). I only bought the tag pack, not the ephemera pack so I can't help but I can upload a picture with a ruler. It comes with gold glittery pieces, the ephemera tags, and two colors of string. For $5.

This photo is dark!!!!
" alt=" "] This is the red. Note that the Santa paper (http://www.acherryontop.com/shop/company/crate_paper/415087-Believe%20Paper%20-%20Merry%20Days%20-%20Crate%20Paper) has a dark green/pine green background NOT black as it looks in my crappy lighting. The photo on the ACOT site is a bit brighter than the paper. The red in the string is normal red like a crayola crayon, a stop sign, a ripe July tomato. So the "red" behind the swans has a coral tint to it. One Santa hat in the Santa paper is the same red as the swan paper and the other santa hat is a dark red closer to a brick red. Hope this helps!

Here are the tags for size: Those gold sparkle tags are 3X4 inches. Perfect for a pocket. Gonna use the heck out of those. I really am happy with this. Again, the color is off but you can see the ruler for size. The string is the same from the photo above. Regular red. So the colors of the crate paper are off from that. There is no true red in the line. sleepingbooty Hope this helps!

Thank you, blemon! Much appreciated. That cut-out tree tag is so cute. I love that they've included the coloured-in and black and white wreats in this pack. I think those tags are accidentally going to fall in my cart...
Things are getting so busy at work now. I wish I had my DD stuff all ordered and on its way to me but, alas, everything's late this year. #sameoldmoan

Cathy Zilskie was sent a package. She hasn't done an unboxing. She's going to do 3x8 size.
I think it's clear what AE items aren't selling as well as there are going to be blog posts about ideas on how to use them. The large gold numbers and next showcased are the silkscreen/stencils bundle.

Same boat, sista, nothing from Ali for the first time and all in with Crate Paper's line.
anniefb Thank you for letting me know! I can't meet the threshold for reasonable EU shipping with Merry Days from Scrapdelight, unfortunately. I just played around and couldn't get to 40€ (it's way too expensive to ship to France for an order under that order total). And they don't have the tag set. Or Tim Holtz's Christmas Clipping Stickers. Sigh. Oh well, it's bound to get to scrapbooking.com at some point.

Ali did say they increased album numbers this year. Last year I think they did 3 rounds of albums. 1 at the start 1 shortly after that arrived around shipping time and the 2nd round orders that arrived in late November. It seemed people were disappointed in this year's designs. The 3x8 design seemed popular, but only if it was a 6x8 album. By popular I mean there were a handful of posts in the Facebook group mentioning it and I think someone asked if Ali could make that a 6x8 for this year.
