TFS mom. Nothing jumps out at me so far. I am never a Brandi Kincaid fan so it doesn't surprise me that I don't like her kit.

I love that "Let's Get Festive" card! But I really wouldn't want more than one of them in my DD.

Yep, I have no regrets on buying this. I know I'll use it and love it. It's simple, basic and just enough. Love that the red looks like red and not burgandy. I also love that there is alot of black and white. I may have some "holes" in my 2016 and 2017 DD that they will fill perfectly.

anniefb wendifful N'aww, you ladies! Do I get the gold puffy phrase stickers that go with the line or not? I can't decide. I'm not crazy aobut puffy. Do I wait until AC Digitals has them up and print them on my pages or do I buy them anyway? I chose not to get them. I don't like the "stick" look to the icons, and the handwritten words grate on me. I loved the ones Fancy Pants did for their Golden Days line a few years ago.

Not a fan of either the IACB or Brandi kits which is probably a good thing!

I'm warm, but not totally sold on the IACB kit, which is interesting because I usually love most of her stuff. I think I need to see the full stamp and reveal.

The traditional kit (is that the in a creative bubble one?) from Feed Your Craft is really pretty. I tend to usually love their kits but find them a wee bit pricey for what you get. I almost bought their thankful themed one but I wasn't willing to spend that kind of money for 30 of the same card as much as I loved the entire kit. In that kit, I'm disappointed that there isn't any real design into the 3x4 ones (if anything, that would have made a great printable instead of the 4 unique designs making up the printable sheet), but I like that the Christmas one has small date ephemera pieces. That is much more usable.

I'm interested in JYC but am still confused. I watched Shimelle's video about the class but it doesn't give any idea or examples of what a prompt would be. Can anyone give an example? From what I understand, you will get a prompt via email once a day with a 'topic' to explore in your album/journal.So you could explore topics that are current or it could be reflecting on a Christmas past. December Daily is more about documenting what happens (in theory) on that day in December.

I can send you a PM with an example of what the actual prompts and emails look like. The pages that most people make look just like DD pages/regular scrap pages except they usually talk about the prompt instead of a random daily event.

If anyone else is considering joining JYC here's one of my Xmas journal index pages showing the titles I used for the prompts. There are 6 more days after New Year's, so this isn't the complete list, but this year I ran out of pages at the end of the year. link

Happy to post some examples of how Shimelle re-explores certain subjects and themes through the prompts tomorrow. I'm having some very busy times at work right now with no room for crafting, barely any to check in here on the DD thread. It's 11:30PM and I just need to catch sleep now. I'll make some time to give a few examples to illustrate JYC tomorrow if anyone's interested.
A quick note on registration: European Peas should take advantage of the fall of the £ since the Brexit refenderum. I just converted the US$ price to € and the £ to €. You're gaining about 5€ when you pick to pay the British price right now (20%)! Shimelle has a banner for each price quote ($35 and £22) on her general JYC class presentation page. That's five extra euros to spend on some December supplies or a Starbucks seasonal drink or a stocking filler or an Advent calendar, etc.

Supplementing supplies: Brandi's FYC Christmas kit looks like it will coordinate well with MME's Jingle All The Way despite the obvious difference in pink tones used.

I feel like I'm barging in and interrupting the JYC conversation (sorry!) but can anyone tell me where this dark navy card is from? Found it in my Christmas stash. I originally thought it was from an older AE or Jasmine Jones DD kit but I have 2 so I'm not sure? Here's the front and back. Sorry for the crappy lighting. The white is a bright crisp white and it's a nice, thick card.

I'd be interested in seeing your examples. Though honestly, I've never really liked Shimelle's style. I really like her as a person, but I never got much inspiration from her layouts and for me the most valuable part of classes is typically the visual samples because the prompts are usually things I could think up myself or have come across other places (such as Ali's past DD's, etc.). So I'm not sure I would get much out of the class... although I do like the idea of lifetime access. SaveSave

I bought the Journal Your Christmas class years ago and really look forward to the daily videos. To be honest, I don't read or follow the prompts anymore but I like watching/listening to her process. I actually bought her kit last year but it didn't arrive in Australia until mid January. It had a lot of old and non-Christmas specific items that my stash is full of, so not worth it in my opinion. I think the class however, is absolutely worth it.

It actually makes me cringe to see all the layers of paper — I feel like it’s such a waste to have just a teeny bit peek out in each layer! However, she seems like a nice person, her voice is fine, and she provides some useful commentary to her videos. I don’t know that I could do JYC, though, if I’m not visually inspired.

I just got my Merry Days order and the Thickers are disappointing. All the accents are more of a cool gold which is a nice change but the thickers are so yellowy. I hate clashing metallics!
