Are you guys saying you can foil with a regular laminator? Off to Google I go! Yep that's what I used to start with. Check out Jennifer McGuire's videos - she uses a laminator she bought of Amazon and recommends. I got reasonable results with the one I bought here though must admit the Minc gives more consistent results. Very interesting! I have this one. I'll have to look into this. TFS. I'm sure I'm behind on this lol. www.amazon.com/dp/B00T3CGD3E/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_PilEBbE48ACBC

Yes, I foil with the Scotch brand laminator. I run thru twice for best results.

Yup, regular laminators work. And you can foil with glue pens and scor tape and a die cutter or a bone folder too. Go to YT and type in something like "no laminator foiling" and you'll see some ideas. I played around a little bit with some foil I got cheap at TM and a sheet from the SSS kit. You can try running through more than once, some people use a piece of cardstock inside the little foiling sandwich to push the foily bit closer to the heat I think, different carrier sheets give different results. And yeah, I forgot all about regular old gold embossing powder...

I saw that, but looking at the description, she says it is a re-run of 2015 class. No new pages.

Ali did post on Facebook that there would be a new Product Play class offered this year.

Because her in person class dd prep party sold so well. :eyeroll: she’s really squeezing every drop out of this holiday season.

More first peeks from IG: there appears to be a dark grey 3x8 album with a foiled night sky pattern, foiled star die-cut shapes, gold alpa numerals and... Liz is baaaack! Yay, yay, yay!

Loving the album. I want to try a new size and a 3X8 will seal the deal for me. And so happy to see the return of LIZ too! I want to see more.

I like the sneaks - love that Liz is back too. I purchased her kits the last two years. I feel like I have so much Christmas stuff, so I am hoping to limit myself to some of the Christmas shop items shown so far and one kit. I do not need an album so that is good.

I am working on my 3x8 album from AE that I used for a mini vacation and I like it. I took a lot of pictures and wanted to use so many so it was a little challenging, but I have enjoyed it. Hoping tonight to work more on it - right now it just has the photos mainly.

You would think she'd be really pushing that one since its coming up -- especially if she doesn't have the numbers yet. Maybe she will do it with her DD release.

Is 3 x 8 the Traveler's Notebook style? I just don't want something to small to put my pictures in.

Is 3 x 8 the Traveler's Notebook style? I just don't want something to small to put my pictures in. It's an album with page protectors. I used that size for my quick trip to Chicago album and it was very easy to add 3x4 vertical photos to and has 2x3 and 3x6 pockets as well. And of course 3x8 pages as well

That album would be great for Advent too. I'm excited for the colors this year.

Is 3 x 8 the Traveler's Notebook style? I just don't want something to small to put my pictures in. The standard TN insert/refill is actually larger than 3x8 as it's 11x21 cm or 4.33x8.25in. Just thought I'd warn you. You're also locked into the vertical system, meaning you will need to be ok with having some cut-down 4x6 cards with sentiments needing to be read the other way around if you're going to use a DD kit with it (or you need to cut them down to 3x4 if the sentiment fits). Those are the practical limitations of 3x8.
It is a fun size but it's definitely more on the gimmicky side (you can't even make a standard 4x6 fit). If you're not a heavy documenter in December and not big on adding dimension to your albums, it could be the right time to try it (beware, the rings on the AE 3x8 albums are small!).

The far left sneak looks like One Little Bird (at least the green tag) and the far right definitely looks like Paislee Press (Liz). Is anyone else confused by that album though? It has the metal brad on the top that holds in the rings like that's a photo of the back of the album--but based on the positioning of the book plate it should be the front... also why would they photograph the back of the album? Could be the DD SC fiasco for the year. They haven’t made it one year without issues, and they generally involve the albums.

I am guessing the 1st and 3rd pics are main kit. Same tree paper in both pics. And even thought that tag looks OLBish, that is Ali’s handwriting on the acetate pieces and a calendar page in the stack which is usually a main kit component.

Omg, lol. What is going on with that album?! Sheesh.
I also know that I am the odd man out on this one but I am tired of gold. I've always been a fan of silver over (yellow)gold. This goes for jewelry, hardware, curtain rods etc lol. Give me brushed nickel over bronze or brass anyday.

Don't mind a bit of gold when used with blue, but generally I don't like it it any other contexts. My wedding + engagement rings are white gold because of this.

I think the album is butt-ugly. Yes, I don't really like the gold with the grey. Would much prefer silver.
