I'm finally making some real progress, but I got a bit derailed once I sat down at the computer to check my photos. I still have a LOT of favorites that I need to print and add into my album. And I have very little idea how I'm going to make that work, but I will. I think before I started playing Starbucks for Life (no purchase needed!) and answering emails and reading here I was about to look for 6x8 templates that will help me cram more photos into my pages. I'm sure I have something that will work, or I guess I can just make my own.

I'm pretty much done through Day 22 and printed photos for Day 23 (that was a hard day because I had a lot of photos from a family gathering). Days 24 & 25 shouldn't be too difficult because I don't have a ton of pictures from the other 2 family gatherings.

I'm about half done and quite disappointed with my photos this year. As I'm looking through it all, I only got out my big camera a couple of days so I just don't have many great photos. Oh well, I'm going for done, not perfect, this year, so I'm well along that path.

joblackford Nope. No. Nuh-uh. I don't care how cute a name you give this type of event (Polar Bear Club, Prance and Plunge, etc.), I refuse to do it. But you're sure to get some hilarious photos out of it for your album!
dawnnikol Happy to read you had such a wonderful time with your mother this Christmas. I hope you'll enjoy revisiting all these sweet memories while you work on your album.
hutchfan You go, you! You rocked this project. I'm impressed! Pray tell, how many Christmas supplies are too many?
pancakes I never look at Paige's projects to be copied as they are, just like inspiration and with a lot of admiration for all the little details and perfect execution. She's one of the few scrapbook line "designers" (I mean, we all know Pink Paislee does the actual design work) who has kept crafting with paper through the years and challenges herself to keep producing high level finished projects. I really appreciate that.
needtime2scrap Wishing you luck with your temporary work station and photo situation!
huskermom98 So close to finishing. So, so close! You've got this.
carolynhasacat I'm sorry to read you're disappointed with your photos this year. That's not a nice feeling. I want to say that's the perfect excuse to ask Santa for a new phone with a better camera next year but maybe you can make it work by having your big camera out and easy to reach for December 2019? It doesn't take away from this year's bad feels but I hope you'll love the memories captured once you see them all together in the finished album. *hug*
I'm redoing a couple of pages today. Decided that since I was using up my tiny stash, I might as well be a little picky and switch up the pages I wasn't crazy about. There's one page I can't fully rip out since the pattern paper has been stuck to the next already so there'll be a fattie in the album. Oh well, "extra reinforced" and I'm sticking with that story...
I also need to start thinking about placing an order for photos. Sigh. Not my favourite thing.

Just realised I forgot to post yesterday's prompt in here! Woops.
Prompt n°29: Looking ahead
With only a couple of days to go until 2019, today's prompt is all about looking forward and ahead after diving in the past yesterday. This can take many different forms and it's up to you to decide how motivational or basic you want to go.
1. Are you the kind of person who enjoys making a good list? If so, you may want to make a moodboard with pictures from the Internet illustrating your 2019 bucket list. Ask yourself questions about which places you want to visit, which new habits you wish to incorporate, how many books you want to read, which new things you want to try next year.
2. Do you want to focus on a single event or project that is starting in early January and for which you are gathering supplies or ideas right now? Talk about your brainstorming and/or stuff you're buying in anticipation of. Maybe you're joining NaJoWriMo for January and got yourself a fresh new journal/notebook or installed a new everyday journaling app? Or is it OLW? Maybe you're joining apartmenttherapy's January cure to clean and organise your home and bought some new cleaning supplies? 3. Are you reading a book in preparation of some life changes next year? Or did you buy the book and not get to it yet? If so, today's the perfect day to start turning the pages and getting that knowledge in. Maybe you're simplifying and decluttering your life? Maybe you're looking into resetting your financial goals and coming up + sticking to a new budget? Or are you looking into meal prepping #lifechanging no, seriously? 4. Are you seeing friends or family in early January to celebrate turning the page and starting fresh? Are you cooking or baking something to share together like many French people do (it's the Epiphany cake discussion from a few pages ago)? Are you bringing something to work to eat with your coworkers perhaps?
Let's enjoy ALL the good vibes of a new, crisp, unmarked year just around the corner and focus on that for today's page in the album.

sleepingbooty it really is embarrassing how much Christmas supplies I have. Christmas supplies are my one weakness when it comes to scrapbooking. I could never buy another Christmas item and have enough to last me and many others enough for the rest of our lives. I am going to organize this week and pass on supplies to my Sister In Law and donate what she doesn't want. And when Christmas release time rolls around next time I am sure I will buy a ton I can't seem to help it. But I do have to say that I don't spend hardly anything on scrapbook supplies the rest of the year.

I feel like that hides poor quality and could give your album a classy feel.

hutchfan I have (most of) Merry Days left for next year's project and... that's it! No other Christmas supplies except the ones I used for this year's album. You'll have to post a photo of the "damages" before this thread disappears into the abyss of the Pea past. For science reasons. We will totally let you know whether it is, indeed, a lot or not.
carolynhasacat Yep, lasteve1's right about going black and white: it appears less grainy due to the colour variety getting absorbed by the grey scale and all the same values of tones becoming one same shade of grey. Do you have a decent app on your phone to play around? Just the curve, contrast, saturation, vibrance and brightness tools on A Color Story can do a lot and help save a "bad" photo.

How is everyone doing with their albums? I just finished Day 22. Struggling with the last 3. My kid is in the other room taking the ornaments off the tree now so I better get in there!
It's been too gloomy to take pictures. Maybe we'll get some sun tomorrow.
I haven't seen many posts come up with the "peacemeberdaily" tag.
Go hutchfan! Congrats for getting it done!

Prompt n°30: Catch-up II
Fifteen days in, there was a first prompt to catch up, find missing supplies, get some more photos printed, fill in blanks, etc. Thirty days in, we're doing it again. What isn't working in your album? Have a proper flip-through and pay attention to details. Photos missing? Photo editing to do so you can finally order some extra prints? Did an embellishment magically vanish? Is there a page you're unhappy with and want to shift or redo? This is the time to do it. You don't want the December 2018 album cloud hanging over you for months and months, leaving you with a feeling of unfinished business and dissatisfaction.

How is everyone doing with their albums? I'm nearly done, I have four days and the cover/opening page left to complete. One just needs some journaling and a little embellishing so it should be pretty quick to finish, the others may take me a little more time, but I'm hopeful I'll get the album finished either today or tomorrow.

I went through my album last night with a pack of mostly used rubons in hand adding little bits and pieces until I finished the pack, and I've been doing the same thing with a pack of tiny enamel hearts.

Paige Evans has posted her 2018 December album and it's ✨ GAH-gorgeous 💖 (although I'm all Christmas tree-shaped out now!):
This was a wonderful book. My left brained personality had a hard time with the way some of the cut outs made her pages look, but the detail she put into some of these pages were just amazing.

I'm only on Day 4 for mine, although I've been choosing and editing my photos on a regular basis since then, and keeping notes daily. Today is my son's birthday so I'll have a great photo or two to include from that - I have to do the entire month of December for that reason alone! Plus I like to include my resolutions for next year at the end of it.

I just finished sorting through and packing up my December Daily supplies until next year (I have too much, ugh). But, I'm sharing the last of my album here today! https://www.instagram.com/p/Br3mwSCDyCm https://www.instagram.com/p/Br5WKudjHH9 https://www.instagram.com/p/Br6V8p2jbs_ https://www.instagram.com/p/Br-_ogmDE7N I have to say, I got pretty burned out at the end and just wanted to be done, so I'm not thrilled with the last few pages. I love the Christmas season and all the decorations and December Daily, but Christmas itself is often disappointing for me because we always spend it with my husband's family (they live in the Northeast like us, but my family is in California so it's just too hard to get back there for the holidays) and honestly I don't get along with his family that well (especially his mom who was worse than expected this year!). As a result, I didn't take a ton of photos at Christmas or Christmas Eve, so I really didn't have a ton to choose from. I really look forward to when we have children so that our holidays can be spent with them... sigh. I'm happy to be done with Christmas for now! I'm happy to hear about everyone's album progress... and those of you still working on it, hang in there! I think everyone has a different pace/process for this project so no one should feel behind. For me, in this season of my life, I like to work on the project DURING December because the project itself is what brings me joy during the holidays. But, like I said above, once I have children that will probably shift and my focus will be on making the season magical for them, and then I'll focus on recording it AFTER. I hope this thread stays active for a little while as people continue to put their albums together, I like seeing photos of projects! So please share

lasteve1 I have loved seeing your pages on insta. I totally get being burned out on the project, I'm about ready to pack mine in but keep telling myself there's only a handful of pages to go. For what it's worth, I really like the simplicity of your pages, especially the 23rd with the clean b&w scheme.

Almost home-about 8 hours away and I’m so glad to almost be there. We’re going to pretend tomorrow is Christmas Eve and Tuesday is Christmas. Going to play Christmas movies, drink hot cocoa, and snuggle my children so hard. I really miss my brother and there’s a huge lump in my throat all the time now but I still have my children. Feeling pretty emotional. I love you girls here.

The 23rd was actually my least favorite day when I just wanted to get it done so that's great to hear! Definitely power through... I am so happy that I did, you will be thrilled when you're done! What worked best for me when I was really feeling burned out was sketching out the rest of the album because that made it really feel like not that much. Then I created pieces in batches (e.g. I cut out some silhouette pieces for a few different days, edited/printed all the rest of the photos) and then I actually assembled 3-4 spreads in one sitting while watching a show. You'll be done in no time

I might try to get my camera out on New Year's to see if I can get a couple of portraits to use in my album as well so I can have some 6x8s.

Ha. This made me laugh. I've been staying off this thread because I have only just started DD'ing. Actually, I don't DD, more JYC/mini-holiday album. I have a small 6x8 that I started a few years ago all haphazard. I bought it at Ross years ago and it had these dumb PP that were 8x8. They hold two horizontal 4x6 top and bottom and then they have this extra little 2x4 pocket next to each photo. So yesterday and today, I did my 'Catch-Up' on that darn little book. FINALLY this year I was sick of struggling w/that stupid 2x4 pocket and I cut them ALL OFF!!! Re-stuck the PPs together w/scoretape and covered w/pretty washi. I had to rejigger many of the pages because some of the 2x4s were filled in w/journaling. But I think it worked out ok. I AM SO HAPPY NOW!!!! Then I went through and reorg'ed the little book to make it more in line w/ sleepingbooty and JYC prompts. It's not finished, but it's in a lot better shape. I'll do some more over the next few days and then put it away until next year. I have absolutely loved *Catching Up* w/this thread too. Really lovely work, peas. So grateful for you all. Happy Almost New Year.

lasteve1 Love the way your project looks! I feel you on the Christmas situation. My in laws aren’t bad, but there’s always so much fighting in the family whenever we go there between the mom and the siblings or among the siblings themselves, all of whom are old enough to be out of college (my husband is the oldest). They bring out the worst in each other and I’m tired of playing mediator. But I often do because they actually listen to me since I’m a levelheaded voice of reason when they’re being irrational with each other. There was crying this year. Which means it was nuts.

I have to say, I got pretty burned out at the end and just wanted to be done, so I'm not thrilled with the last few pages. I hear you! I want my space clean and I want all the stuff put away. I don't have a designated craft space so I have this table that is typically folded up out all month and it's just too much. I'm going to go back through and add some final touches and I'll be done. The kid is pretty much done with her book to so we'll be able to put away the supplies.

Well happy new year everyone! It's been great to have this thread for encouragement and to see everyone's pages and albums coming along. My DD supplies are packed away for another year (I have an embarrassing amount of product left over) and I'm on to some other things. Made a wedding card for the daughter of friends who's getting married tomorrow and also a couple of cards with a new Lawn Fawn set. I still have a ew pages to share on IG and will do that over the next few days.

Here we are then, final day of the year, final prompt of the December Daily 2018 MEGAAA thread. I hope everyone's having a lovely time and enjoying flipping through their finished album/finishing up their album. This thread will live on in January and I'll actually start posting decent (ha, I wish!) photos of my pages starting January 2nd. Anyone else who still wants to share their progress is welcome to join the merry bunch of late finishers. The goal is to give everyone enough time to finish the holiday season (Epiphany's still to come!) and their project.
I want to thank everyone for joining this thread since August and participating in the fun. I know that with several December documenters being done with their albums (congrats to you, by the way), this discussion will probably slow down a little so if I don't see you in here anymore, please know I so appreciated your presence, kind words, encouragement and progress stats.
Finally, happy last hours of 2018 to all (and happy early 2019 to our down under Peas). Please party safe, keep an eye on your friends if you're going out, make sure everyone gets home safe and don't drink and drive. 😘
Prompt n°31: So long and thanks for all the fish
This is it, the very last prompt. New Year's Eve is about to start in Europe. Party time for me. Cosy night in for others. However you choose to spend the night is worth documenting. There's no need for extravaganza to enjoy the last hours of 2018. This last prompt is all about embracing your way of celebrating NYE this year. A final festive shot is always a great way to round off the year and a holiday album. Whether you're wearing your favourite pyjamas or are all glittered up, push yourself into the frame if you can. Get your selfie game going! Double points to your Hogwarts house if you make it funny (sipping from a champagne bottle is absolutely accepted 🍾😁). This is supposed to be a fun project, so let's keep it light and easy for our final bit of documenting.
