Here's a super simple pocket page about my DH trying kopi luwak coffee (I don't drink coffee at all so passed on the experience, I drank tea instead).

JaneB I love your heart card, I love the 'bubblewrap stamping' in the background, it kinda looks like embossing paste through a stencil and the big juicy heart is gert lush! Linda I love the bootcamp LO, love those little brads down the bottom, great touch. The little sailor shirt on the next LO is fab along with the banners. The red, white & blue does look great and I bet the album looks fabulous but I bet you are ready to use some different colours for a change too! I love that you've used banners through all these LO's, it's a fab touch and they all look great! nylene I love the little waffle people on your LO, it is so fun and cute and wow, those waffles look yummy! Great page, I adore it Your celebrate cards look amazing, lovely fun colours they must be so lush to receive and pull out of the envelope! gale w wow, love the blue falalalala card it's wonderful! The second card is fabulous too, your colouring looks amazing and I love little santa with his cow! Chinagirl828 I love that you think your LO is super simple and I think it's just perfect, I love the little word stickers and the cool title panel. I would love to try that coffee too, it'd be an experience!

Oh, some beautiful stuff here this morning! JaneB - "holy night" - the teal, gold, twine, button...really superbly pretty! The "tiny flowers" are charming, you are so clever with simple elements like that. And princess Kitty is sassy and cool, love her! Chinagirl828, I love your photos, the black shirts become a contrasting colour with your pretty rose, and it works so well. @galew - cute santas! I really like how you paired him with the striped pp and window die cut. patin - great 2 pager, love how the blue is used to pull your eye through the layout zigzag!

I went back to my 8 1/2 by 11 scrapping roots with pictures from 1987 today. Except for my album about me all of my layouts prior to 1999 are this size. It’s a fun change for me.

This is for the Back In Black challenge, and by happy (haha get it) co-incidence I managed to get in the Don't Worry Be Happy challenge as well, just by chucking on a couple of extra elements. I used the Summer Skies kit by Kimeric Kreations and the photomask is by Lindsay Jane. Points: 1 for doing a challenge, 1 for sharing a LO, #6 Alphabet, #7 Punctuate, #8 Happy (5 points - Happy in the title plus Heart, Alpha, Photomask, Paint splatter, Yarn), #12 Someone you love, #21 Mix it up - paint, #30 Back in Black, #32 Splatter, #49 Overlay (stars), #54 Embossing - the title is embossed. TOTAL = 16

May I present to you Boris the Boogie Boarding Wonder Dog! Elements from "A Girl's World", "Absolutely Amazing" and "Only the Beginning" kits, all by Kimeric Kreations. Stitching and painted flourish by Katie Pertiet. Points: 1 for the LO, 1 for sharing the LO, #6 alphabet stickers, #18 Seamstress, #20 flowers, #21 paint and ink, #25 Square photos, #32 Splatter, #38 Nuvos TOTAL = 9 (Ugh, I really don't like the way the title and date tags are just.... plonked there in the middle of nothing. Any ideas what I could do? I had envisioned a page with just photos down one side and lots of empty white space. I really wanted to use the elements though - the triangle is supposed to replicate a cape for the Wonder Dog aspect, and the tags are supposed to be like dog tags. Plus the colours are pretty and match the rest of the LO. But I'm just not 100% happy with how it looks.)

AussieMeg could you bring that title piece and tags straight down to bottom of the page so they're kind of overlapping the flourishes with the tags nearly touching that row of dots? You've got a pretty strong line from top left to bottom right with the flower, flourishes and those dots. The only other thing I'd probably consider if it were my page would be to push it all the way to the top right corner so it's overlapping the stitched border.

As soon as I saw cristelina 's "Get Your Pretty On" challenge to do a layout about fashion, I was really excited and knew exactly what photo I was going to scrap. This is a photo of me with one of my BFFs from high school. It's from 1990 when we were about 22yo and were heading off to a nightclub. We had dressed up like Deee-Lite who sang Groove is in the Heart, which had just been released and was on high rotation at nightclubs. Truth be told, I couldn't really dance for shit, but in my head I looked just like her out on the dance floor. It's still one of my favourite songs to dance to. ** I had red hair at this time after a nasty mishap with a home dye job that turned my hair green. The only way the hairdresser could get rid of the green was to dye it red! The kit is Feeling Groovy by Kristmess Designs. Points: 1 for LO, 1 for sharing, #6 Stick it, #11 Get Your Pretty On, #18 Seamstress, #20 Flowers, #27 Brad, #38 Nuvos, #43 Tie Me Up ribbon & ric rac. TOTAL = 9 points

KelleeM - great old photos, those kids are so lucky to have an aunt like you! The heart paper goes well. patin - wow, awesome cards, but even better number of cards, you're amazing! The reindeer peeking nylene - wow wow wow wow, that card has some SERIOUS "it" factor going on, it really makes an impact, it's STUNNING. myboysnme - lovely beach layouts. Your gaming layouts are wonderful in the photo placement/design, and the photos too - great job capturing that environment!!! The family layouts are very pretty. And the autumn layouts use the leaf/squirrel as great focal pieces. "Feast mode" made me LOL, love the glittery scallop, and I see you are working with the new "whimsical" line which I just picked up yesterday so I'm glad to see that I'm loving it on your pages! "Butterfly catcher" is beautiful, the ink drops in the upper left echo the lower right pp - that's exactly what I mean about your backgrounds. "Lazy Days" is lovely too, scraptastic acrylic, yes? Miss that kit. And "fireworks" is WOW, just right in your scattered doodads and ink blots and the mood you set is amazing. AussieMeg - the photo bleed on the "happy new year" is amazing, the whole layout looks stunning. "Boris" - bless his wee heart! Yes, the colours are AMAZING and I love the overall design. I myself like the title block hanging there, because the "Boris" letters anchor it for me. The tags could move, but I have NO idea where, they don't bug me that much but I think I know where you are feeling twitchy about it...to make them more dog-taggish, is there a metal finish you could use instead of the colours? but seriously, the layout rocks! And "groove" is sooooo much fun, great smile on my face looking through it, love your details in all you layouts! stinkerbelle - I love your work, your level of embellishment and layering and interest in background pps/pieces is just to my taste. But I can't get over how quickly you can produce these with this level of detail! They are all beautiful. "Bluejay" stands out because of the title and die-cut obviously. Chinagirl828 - your choice of colours is always so pleasing; the photos here make me want to travel, and I love the conservative tags/splots that accent it all beautifully.
