sorry your scrappy plans didn't work out boymom5 . i had great plans today too and i did one page, whoop de do. sort of mojo-less today, but hoping that picks up. i was so excited by the challenges but just wasn't feeling it when i was scrapping. so frustrating! part of that is i have a tiny space to work on since i still haven't done any cleaning...if i scrapped 12x12 i wouldn't have enough room!

I have closed off the November challenges, and the printable list has been updated. So I hope to get that printed off tonight.
I have photographs of 8 of the ten pages I've slapped together since yesterday. Realized when I looked at the photo of the last two pager that I had made a mistake in the name of the Disney character in it, so I had to plaster a layer over part of the title tonight and fix it. So that is drying now.
Have company coming for supper Saturday, but hoping to get a couple of pages put together in the morning. Again, these are pretty simple pages: I am in GET THIS FINISHED mode.

I hope tomorrow is better for you boymom5. I need to sit down and choose which photos to print next but I really just wanted to play with paper so I've (mostly) followed along with the cutting guides in the video DawnMcD linked in this thread. I had an unopened vintage style collection pack I picked up for just under $4 so I broke it open and now have seven pages underway.

Sorry you had such a rough day, boymom5. My crafting plans for today also fell through. I woke up this morning with my left foot hurting. I have no idea what on earth I've done to it. It feels a bit like a stone bruise on the ball of my foot, but I can't think of anything I've done that would have caused it. Everything was perfectly normal when I went to bed last night. *shrug* So, I spent all day staying off my foot and trying to keep it elevated. If it's not feeling better by Monday, a trip to the doctor may be in order.

Go TEAM!!! I have been under a losing cloud, but now that MY team has WON the last two months, I am thinking we have a chance to win again!!! I hope things go better for you today boymom5. And that your foot feels better, CoffeeCrafter. We can't have team members on the injured list too long! Hope you get your photos printed, Chinagirl828. I have been struggling with that lately. My go-to solution for photo printing is to go into WalMart, edit at the kiosk, order One Hour prints, and go away to do other errands while I wait. But the WalMart kiosks have not been liking my new iPhone. And I don't always find out what was printed and what was NOT until I go back to pick up. The last few times I have asked the clerk to check before I walk away. Still frustrating, but at least I know where I stand and can submit again if I choose. The kiosks seem to have the most trouble with "photos from the cloud" and "Live" photos from my phone. I keep turning off that feature, but then I don't notice when it comes back on. It has taken me FOREVER to print my Disney/Florida vacation photos. Think I have all I need now except for a few my ds took. Found them on my phone and have them saved right at the end so I can find them quickly when I get to town. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Finished 4 pages today. Have photos for 4 to 6 additional pages, so those are totally doable by Tuesday. Hope to finish the last two after the Animal Kingdom photos are printed. May take the supplies with me when I go to Abbotsford, and have those pages finished by the time I come home. That vacation was SO much fun! How can I HATE this album so much? (I will love the book when it is finished: I just hate feeling the pressure to finish it.) Maybe it is b/c in my tiny brain it feels like when this album is finished the vacation is finally over? Anyway, I have photographed the rest of my completed pages this morning. Will be dumping them into the Gallery over the next couple of days.

CoffeeCrafter- I'm sorry your foot got hurt! I'm hoping its doing better and you can get some things done. Chinagirl828- What photo printer do you use? I'm wanting to get one so I can better scrapbook our memories. Sometimes I wait too long to print them and miss out on why the memory was so precious or I print way too many pictures and get overwhelmed with the volume! I have over 1,000 pictures print, probably closer to 2,000 and I know that I don't need to scrap all of them! @gramadee- Great job getting to work! I'm impressed that you are almost done! I'm finally getting to get to some scrapbooking. I put a movie on for the kids and now I need some inspiration before the baby wakes up from his afternoon nap! I"m contemplating attempting the 45 point page...off to check out the completed challenges list.

I had grand plans to scrapbook today but it's 515 and I haven't started yet. I did clean up my desk, order and pick up photos (all of Oct), and started sorting those photos...
Feeling a little overwhelmed by all the challenges this month....

I never made it to my scrapping area today. I just wasn’t feeling it. I did order 90 pictures from Amazon after I uploaded my phone photos...it took at least 10 hours for almost 9000 pictures! I figured since I have Prime I’d take advantage of the storage as well as free shipping and the prints are only 9 cents each. I’m anxious to check the quality. Linda...I think if you’re overwhelmed by the challenges maybe you should just scrap your pictures and then check afterwards to see if they meet any challenges. There’s no need to stress about points! Just create what makes you happy 😊

Linda ...I think if you’re overwhelmed by the challenges maybe you should just scrap your pictures and then check afterwards to see if they meet any challenges. There’s no need to stress about points! Just create what makes you happy 😊 I agree with this. Just scrap your photos, Linda. Then check the challenges for points. Maybe read through them and pick one or two that speak to you that you really want to devote a page to. I want to do the Donna Challenge this month, and it is worth at least double points b/c it also fits the Gratitude challenge. If I choose to use a Christmas theme, that's another challenge met, plus another point if I use Red & Green (complementary colours). While you are doing the read through, maybe choose an embellishment type or colour combo you like and put a star by those challenges and pull out the supplies that will help you meet that challenge [almost] every page. Some people keep a basket of those automatic point getters at the edge of their scrapping table, easy to grab at the last minute. Some items that will earn you points every time you use them are arrows buttons paper clips ribbon wood metal mixed alphas Hopefully you will be scrapping up a storm as usual in no time!

Also, Linda, I know you tend to not add a ton of stuff to your pages but wonder if you’d be interested in some sequins, since I seem to have become obsessed with them and have way more than I’ll ever use!

My foot is still bothering me today, but at least it's better than yesterday so I can manage to hobble around a bit. I was able to spend a couple of hours in my craft room this morning and knocked out 36 thank you cards for our service project this month at work. I'm not sure how to score mass production cards though. I assume I would get 1 point for each of the 36 cards I made, but how would I score the sharing? Would it be 1 point for sharing since it's a single photo or would I also get 1 point each since the photo contains all 36 cards I made? Also, by my count, these cards fit four of the monthly challenges (#1, #4, #6, and #13). How do I count that since I mass produced these cards? Would it be 1 pt per design or 1 pt per card? Hellllpppp! LOL

KelleeM - that's a ton of photos! (I should probably do that also...). Thank you KelleeM and grammadee for the encouragement - I'm sure once I actually sit and scrap, the mojo will start coming back. KelleeM - That's kind of you - I do have some sequins that Eddie-n-Harley was kind enough to send me a couple of months ago. They are a fun accent, aren't they? CoffeeCrafter - those cards are awesome! I would say 1 pt per card as you still had to spend the time to cut and stamp and assemble each card and you still used up stash making them. I might have to scraplift you

CoffeeCrafter count 1 pt each for making, then the total of challenges for each card per card (so 36 times) and 1 pt for sharing since you're only sharing once, if that makes sense glad your foot was feeling good enough for you to get some crafting in. your cards are gorgeous!! (my birthday is july 4 so red/white/blue is my favorite color combo ever) grammadee why do you have a deadline for the album? that would make me hate it, too! KelleeM let us know how you like the quality of the amazon prints. hope you're super inspired with new photos! linda forget the challenges and just scrap. you do you! boymom5 i remember trying to steal moments to scrap when i had littles around. sometimes it's very hard! hope you were able to get something done

I'm also only going to count 1 point a single time for the CARDtober Ketchup challenge since only one card out of the stack would really apply for that.

CoffeeCrafter- Way to go making all those cards! linda- I agree with the others, scrap for enjoyment, not for the points...unless its enjoyable for you scrap for points That's what I had dun doing today! stinkerbelle- Yes, scrapping with little ones around is tough. They don't understand why I want some mommy alone time! But without them, I'd have very little to scrap I ended up taking some time this afternoon and got one page done! If I added everything up correctly, with the 10 points for #56 it was 58 points!

boymom5 I do a mix of printing at home and sending them out to a local store. The ones I print at home are on an old Epson XP-700. I've had it at least 10 years, probably longer, and printed more photos on it than I can possibly count. I send the bulk of my vacation photos out to be printed but pretty much anything else is printed at home. When I was shopping for my printer my main priority was separate ink tanks since I know I burn through yellow faster than any other colour. This printer has 5 - yellow, magenta, cyan, black, and photo black.

grammadee why do you have a deadline for the album? that would make me hate it, too! I am making one album which I want to have copied for each of the kids' families in time to have each bound into a book at the local photographers' shop. If I want to have the books ready for Christmas they have to be taken in there SOON!!!

Ok, I have points on the board. I finished the layouts using the cutting guide in the youtube video DawnMcD linked. Although I'm not sure I could batch scrap that way all the time it was a very effective way to get through seven layouts quickly and use up a bunch of stash at the same time. I'm thinking it might be fun to make my own kit of papers and have another crack at it, certainly more exciting than choosing photos and resizing them to print.

finally got a layout done...still not really feeling very motivated but I'm hoping that if I keep sitting at the scrapbook desk, one of two things will happen...either my motivation will come back or I'll plug slowly away and get at least one or two layouts done anyway.

If you enjoy scrapping with pre cut pieces like that, check out the monthly Freaky Fast Friday Formula over at the Scrap Room. They provide the cutting sizes--though not how to get them out of complete sheets--and ideas for ways to use the pieces. I have done some pages with some of their previous challenges, and it was a fun way to use up pp scraps.

Chinagirl828 i really like the freaky fast formulas too. obviously some pieces don't work well for my page size, but pretty much anything 12" i just trim to 11" and i skip any that use big pieces like 10x10 or just make a similar but smaller size. i haven't done one in awhile. thanks for reminding me grammadee also, did you take the perfect collection with shimelle Chinagirl828? because it's essentially the same thing. loved it too.

i can't seem to get motivated to do anything. i did finish a 45-pt page, actually ended up being 56 i think, but can't be bothered to photograph it or post it. i read kitbop's thread about flickr on the scrapping board and am so irritated i just uploaded all my old LOs there. now i have over 1000 photos, so i'm trying to delete them, but geez it takes nearly as long as it did to upload them! and if there's an easy way to delete a block of them, rather than one at a time, i haven't found it yet. ugh! if i don't get my number under 1000 i can't upload anything new. what a PITA!

stinkerbelle - I don't use Flickr but someone posted that if you select the thumbnails, you can delete en masse. Hopefully that'll make it quicker for you

I used it for an album of my grandparent's wedding photos. I've been thinking about going through it again given it has popped up on a couple of threads recently.

I created and uploaded 4 pages this morning. Will upload a couple more tonight that I put together earlier. I now have only two pages to finish for this album, and I will print the pics for them on Wednesday. I put together a little kit to take with me so I can finish those pages while the girls are in school. All the others are in my album, pages all numbered (1-74 with a space for the missing 2 pages) so they are easier for the printer to keep straight. I will be SOOO happy to put this baby to bed! stinkerbelle, is there a way you can pay for Flickr storage rather than have to go through the moving and deleting? Also wondering what will happen with our 2peas Gallery? 4600+ images there.

grammadee yes, you can pay, but i'm not interested in doing that. i'll just keep deleting. we have til january. Linda thanks for the tip, i'll try that and see if it makes things quicker. no idea what will happen with the gallery.

how's it going team? i have done exactly one LO so far this month i seem to have no mojo at all, which is sad because i think we have the best list of challenges yet. i'm off friday-saturday, so hopefully i can get something done. thanks Linda for the tip about deleting on flickr; i did go back to the original thread and saw how to do that, so i was able to get everything deleted. unforunately now i'm missing more recent stuff, so i had to reupload one or two. so strange! but not a big deal. hopefully admin is aware of the changes! it took some getting used to, but it's so easy to post there and link here. i'd hate to have to find a different gallery space. anyway, hope everyone has a wonderful day!! i definitely hope you're all doing better than i am this month!
