When we were there hubby was going to get a Disney credit card to earn points on what we were spending until he saw there was an annual card fee. We got an app in the mail recently for one without a fee. I’m desperately trying to get him to get the credit card because then I could price a trip even cheaper and we might go again someday. Lol at the very least I could save 10% in the online store for Christmas gifts. I’m definitely getting a Mickey waffle iron. And more Disney movies. In fact I just restarted my Siriusxm subscription for the Disney channel. To be fair, it’s cause the $5 a month for one year price was right. I love my Disney. They have a version of the card without an annual fee, but it's all just 1%. You might be better off with a travel card that you can use for flights and hotels vs the Disney card. I have a Bank of America card where I can choose my category. So trip months get 3% back on travel. And other months 3% on online purchases If you want Disney music check out srsounds.com/j3/ they play park audio all the time. It's a really nice pick me up when I'm working on things.

I’ve been so depressed since our wdw trip. Working on my albums is bittersweet. I had so much fun anticipating the trip and planning! Aww, sweet Julie, you'll go again! If the man of the house doesn't feel like another Disney trip, you can always leave him behind with a pack of beer, a stack of your delicious home-baked cookies and some frozen meals on a weekend when there's a sports event he loves on TV. I'm sure one of your kiddos would love to go on a little trip just with their mum. $10-15 into the Disney trip fund a week will get you back at the happiest place on earth pretty quickly! Julie, if you use this code to apply : Earn a $200 Statement Credit with the Disney® Visa® Card. No annual fee. I can be rewarded. Learn more. www.referyourchasecard.com/200a/UMCQ9QSQBTIt's the no annual fee one. I have it, so if if you do decide to use it and sign up using that link, it'll give me a 100 pts and you'll get your $200 cash. We've been using ours for the trip stuff to gather up points and then we'll use it at the parks to get more points. :X

Disney haunted house ride. But the Christmas ornaments are making my heart skip a beat! So cute. And dark. And cute. And dark. Speaking of which, can't believe you've never ridden HM, dawnnikol! On the upside, you still have things to discover and see for the first time. Whew! Attempting to play catch up since our rather busy weekend with my Grandma taking a tumble down 6 stairs (she's almost 89). She broke 6 ribs, her elbow, her pelvis, and punctured a lung to top it off. Never a dull moment around here! I mean, is it wrong I've been using her therapy goals to also countdown closer to our DW trip? I mean, she should be right as rain by then, so it's ok? Anyway! I've only been to DL twice, the first time was on our honeymoon and the husband doesn't care for a lot of rides AND I hadn't planned anything, so we just puttered around. The next time we went the kids were just too small, so it was Dumbo, etc until it was time to leave that day. Our DW trip in 2017 was quite different, but the kids had made their lists and we stuck to those mostly. THIS TIME, they're a bit older and HM is on our list! My youngest daughter is very into "scary" stuff and is excited.

I had a two-week trip to WDW back in 2016, and I loved every minute of it. I did Expedition Everest many times in a row using the single rider line. I sat for an hour in Magic Kingdom watching people ride the carousel. I ate what I wanted when I wanted. I stayed for the fireworks - or not - as I wanted. It was absolutely wonderful. The only time I missed having company was when I played mini golf, and there was no one to witness my multiple holes-in-one.

sleepingbooty - Wow love the new themed baby blue color and I almost got to go to Disney Paris. I was sitting with my mom in the bullet train station in England and I saw the sign, I tried to convince my mom but she isn't as big of a fan...I told her we could go for a few hrs but alas..I lost out. I figure when's the next opportunity I'd have..... never cause DH doesn't care about Disney. @skellinton - No luck in Target and I even went to the one that supposed to have Disney store inside (when it is availabe) and nothing. I looked in Little girls and Big girls sections. The HM stuff is like liquid gold. @julie5 - I feel your pain mine says once every 10 years is good enough for him. Although he went with me last year to WDW Flower and Garden Festival for my birthday and I talked him going to DL for Christmas. He hasn't been since Little Mermaid ride first opened so while everyone is shopping Black Friday we'll be on a plane. Luckily in between I go with my dgs and dd or my mom and trying to get my ds and dgd's to do it with me but that's a touchy subject as to when and who takes them first. dawnnikol - Oh my your poor gma, I hope she's doing ok BSideCrafter - Thanks for the link I am streaming it now...awesome maybe I should work on my Disney pages.

Anybody remember when the sequin pumpkin mouse ears were first released? They're bringing them back to DLP this year and I'm tempted to get them in case they will be retired after this Halloween season.

Just wanted to share this adorable tidbit of the Jungle Book Jive. It's in its final week at Disneyland Paris and the characters are allowed to go off script a bit. Mega heart eyes moment here. (sound on for the full experience) BSideCrafter Have the most magical time! The 2-week countdown to my next visit has just officially begun. Can't wait to see DLP decked out for Halloween again. One of the finest seasons at Disney. Skellinton This year's Haunted Mansion ears in case you hadn't seen them yet. So classy. I wish our park carried them. https://www.instagram.com/p/B2fhopSgHqZ

That's a nasty fall. I hope she'll heal up nice and well. My mother is still struggling a bit after breaking her leg in February this year, yikes. Sending her witchy ('tis the season, after all) healing vibes! And hey, anything that helps you keep count of the days until you go back to your Disney Park... It's Grandma versus WDW now! This is going to be such a fun way to discover the spookier side of Disney! I bet your daughter is going to love it (and you too). Can't wait to hear your review!

sleepingbooty That video is great, I love Chip’s little move at the end! What a fun parade. I love a Disney parade!!! When we have gone to the Halloween Parties I always watch the special parade twice because I love it so much. Those ears are so lovely, I might just have to order some if they are online. I don’t normally wear ears, but since I am going with little kids next time I just might whip out a pair since I fully expect them to be wearing some! I ordered myself one of the ghosts in a jar from the Disney Store, and I am already irrationally excited about my trip that is 443 days away!!!!

I love Chip’s little move at the end! What a fun parade. I love a Disney parade!!! When we have gone to the Halloween Parties I always watch the special parade twice because I love it so much. Chip was feelin' himself that day... I love the outside shows and parades. Jungle Book Jive runs four times a day and we caught it three times when we went. Don't get me started on the Halloween parade + Centra Plaza show I'll be seeing in October. It features one of my fave parade songs. At least, I hope it's unchanged and they're still using 'Vive la Vie' this year. Halloween season opens on Sept. 28 so until then, it's a bit of a mystery. Those ears are so lovely, I might just have to order some if they are online. I think you may just need to order them. You need the obligatory Disney-fangirl-in-front-of-the-castle photo in your album, after all. I ordered myself one of the ghosts in a jar from the Disney Store, and I am already irrationally excited about my trip that is 443 days away!!!! Those are so cool! I may be a little envious right now. Great Halloween gift to yourself. I'll keep an eye out for them in our park but I doubt they'll be available here. Step up your merch game, Disneyland Paris!

I ordered myself one of the ghosts in a jar from the Disney Store, and I am already irrationally excited about my trip that is 443 days away!!!! I love that you're counting out from so far. I won't tell you my number since it's lower than yours. Although, technically, my number counts down to being at HPW and then we will go to DW after a few days there. I agree with Booty, of course, that you should get the ears. They are gorgeous. All the Arendelle Aqua merchandise and foods are so pretty, I wonder if they'll be onto a new color when I go in the winter.. I couldn't find a timeline for the colors. I mean, if I'm going to cross my fingers, I'll cross them for purple. My girls got the Elsa/Anna ears when we were there in 2017. One side is Elsa and you flip it around and it's Anna. I had ordered Ursula ears and it was a headband and the thing busted when I tried them on the day before our trip. Talk about a freaking bummer. Our trip has now dwindled down to just my family of 5, all the grandparents have had to cancel for one reason or another. It'll be our first family vacation where we aren't going to see other family or other family isn't with us for the fun. I may or may not have already started trying to plan more group t shirt days. I DON'T CARE IF IT'S A OBNOXIOUS! I do draw the line at shirts that are so specific I can't wear it again for years to come. We already had one MK shirt and one HPW shirt for all of us, but I'm really struggling to design another. Ah, first world problems. sleepingbooty Thank you for what you said about my Grandma. We actually found out she might be released in about 9 days, so that's good news. It'll be a long road to recovery for her, but she's doing much better.

All the Arendelle Aqua merchandise and foods are so pretty, I wonder if they'll be onto a new color when I go in the winter.. I couldn't find a timeline for the colors. So, there is no actual timeline for these colour releases. They kind of just drop the announcement a week or two early and that's it. However, my usually pretty good memory says that there has been the very famous Rose Gold collection launched in summer 2017. The millennial pink one came in spring 2018. Briar Rose Gold (which was just a twist on the OG Rose Gold and not a full collection) came in spring 2019. I don't remember if there was a special colour launch between those two... Arendelle Aqua for late summer/very early autumn 2019. So, if they count on making this a thing (and that's what it certainly looks like), I'd say spring 2020 for the next colour launch. I may or may not have already started trying to plan more group t shirt days. I DON'T CARE IF IT'S A OBNOXIOUS! I do draw the line at shirts that are so specific I can't wear it again for years to come. Hey now, everyone has fun in their own manner! Make ALL the T-shirts, I say. Obviously, they're a rare thing in the European park so when I see a group wearing 'em, I get all curious kitty and want to hear where they're from (usually the US, sometimes Britain). That's all. I don't find the people wearing them obnoxious. I mean, Disney's selling us T-shirts and ears and spirit jerseys and whatnot! We're in the embodiment of wear-your-passion-like-it's-your-fashion! Go for it. And show us how they turned out! I've got to add that reading this thread, I understand how privileged I am. I can hop on a (pretty cheap) bullet train early in the morning, sleep and wake up a few hours later right onto Disney property and stroll through security when the park opens, enjoy the day, hop back onto a bullet train and speed home. It's a very affordable luxury that not all people have. I don't have to book my trip long in advance, save up, worry about the cost of transportation, etc. It's normal that my little excursions come without signature Disney T-shirts or much fanfare. I definitely don't judge anyone in the parks who behaves differently. I know that I'm lucky that it's so easy and affordable for me. ETA: All the best to your grandma, dawnnikol. I hope she keeps up with her PT schedule and that she gets loads of pool time to help with recovering movement and strength. It's a long road but it looks like she's getting all the support she needs from her loved ones.

I saw a thing on IG about being at EPCOT and tiny foods and white women in their shirts from Etsy using trashcans as tables. Anyway. I think they're fun and welcome questions from people. I'd say spring 2020 for the next colour launch. I'm going to cross my fingers you're right. At the very least, aqua is my oldest DD very favorite and has been since Frozen was release. Um, holy crap, it's been a minute. To say we are excited about Frozen II is an understatement. She's even opted to "give up her birthday party" to go see it in the theater. I've allowed it though, simply because it's her 10th and she doesn't know I'm already planning a surprise party. Yes, it's Frozen themed.

Resurrecting this thread! Hocus pocus, come back into focus... Since the thread is back, I'm going to link my album of my 2019 Universal Orlando trip that I finished scrapping this summer. It ended up being 38 pages, and I was so happy to just finally get it done! Featuring me, DH, our 3 DDs (then 21, 21, and 16,) and my sloppy handwriting. The Harry Potter stuff was mostly done with Vicki Boutin papers. Link to my Flickr gallery

Now I'll have to watch it and be so sad, but also SO grateful we got to visit right before all the quarantining. You slipped in there right before the pandemic hit the West! Such lucky timing, dawnnikol! I can't believe 2020 was the year we didn't renew our AP and decided to take a break for about 10 months. Turns out it will last significantly longer but at least we didn't spend that money... The only "lucky" coincidence this year! How's your album coming along? I'm going to link my album of my 2019 Universal Orlando trip that I finished scrapping this summer. It ended up being 38 pages, and I was so happy to just finally get it done! Very cute! I love that you used papers from different collections and designers. I was playing "what's this collection?" when looking through your album. It all came together beautifully. The ethnic paper for The Mummy pages is really unique. Will you be returning when the pandemic is finished? Hello! Disney loving Pea here. Welcome, welcome! Any future Disney park trips planned?

How's your album coming along? I did end up using 2 9x12 again and finished in June. I would've finished sooner, but some crazy pandemic interrupted my alone time.. I don't have much success with putting something like that away and trying again later, so I had to power through. I love it though. The kids keep asking when we can plan another trip back... one day.

I think it dates back to 2012? We all pretty much decided that would be our last family vacation, of the coordinated variety at least. I would do another family trip sometime, but only if everyone brought their significant others and we only tried to meet up occasionally. This was too much with 5 opinions about everything. There are plans for another park at Universal, so when that's completed we'll all want to see it eventually, but we'll likely go in pairs. DH used to take them out for Daddy Days when they were little, and over the years those day trips have evolved into trips over long weekends a couple times a year. I'd love to go back to DW with just one of my DDs sometime. She's a foodie, and we just want to do a tour where we eat our way through the parks!

Disneyland in California isn't going to open this year. We were there the week before shutdown and I still can't believe that was 9 months ago. We were going to check out Disneyland Paris when we were there in 2013 but the night before we met up with my BFF from high school (he researches lost languages & is a professor for a university over there) and drank too much good wine and overslept the next morning. We will be back someday!

Disneyland in California isn't going to open this year. We were there the week before shutdown and I still can't believe that was 9 months ago. Feels like forever ago, doesn't it? What a strange time to live through and witness all these "regulars" come to a complete halt. Ironically, Disneyland Paris was one of the best organised and rule-enforcing places in France from all the vlogs I saw when it was able to open during the summer and early autumn. I would've gone when it reopened for a brief time with a N95 mask if I lived closer and didn't have to endure the nonchalance and lack of seriousness of other passengers for about 8h in total of sitting on the bullet train. Disneyland Paris have already announced that they're closing straight after the Christmas season (if they are allowed to reopen for Christmas, that is) and remaining voluntarily closed until late February. It looks like the pandemic is taking a major financial toll. I've never heard of them close like this before. I bet it's a tight situation for Disneyland Anaheim, too. Can't wait for a vaccine! We were going to check out Disneyland Paris when we were there in 2013 but the night before we met up with my BFF from high school (he researches lost languages & is a professor for a university over there) and drank too much good wine and overslept the next morning. We will be back someday! Bwahaha, if that isn't the most European vacation hiccup... You'll just have to travel back to the old continent. I mean, come on, missing out on Disneyland is totally a valid reason to go back to Europe. If you're ever planning to go to DLP, DM me! If I survive this pandemic, I'll pick up my annual pass again and would happily share any tips that would apply for your visit.

For the US Disney-loving Peas: the Kipling USA website has seriously marked down the Frozen 2 line. Kipling quality is amazing and highly recommended. If you have a Frozen fan in your life, it could be worth checking out their Black Friday sale. Several European Kipling websites have also marked the leftovers of this collection down. I just bought myself the Winds of Nature backpack inspired by Anna (sold out on the US website) from Kipling France's Black Friday sale. The "cuddly" Olaf backpack (Jacks) is gorgeous and so soft IRL. I petted it in store and almost brought it home with me. Some of the Frozen 2 line is shown IRL in the video below:
