If you haven’t seen, Paige Taylor Evans has a Silhouette cut file of Small World in her Etsy shop. It’s pretty cool.

sleepingbooty I will 100% let you know when we get back there. We will have our kid in tow this time (I was footloose and child free back in 2013 ) but by the time we get over there she'll probably be at least 7 or 8 and is a pretty decent kid if I do say so myself. She has her moments but don't we all?

Coming this Sunday to the Disneyland Paris YT channel, the 2019 tree lighting + Christmas music ceremony (DLP is still closed as we're still in national lockdown):

Disneyland Paris have one of France's most famous pastry chefs, Pierre Hermé (definitely get one of his macarons when you're in Paris), making a Mickey-inspired macaron on their YT channel (turn on English subs + check out the recipe in English here):

Hey Disney folks! I have a YOUTH sized Disneyland Minnie baseball cap that needs to go live with people who will love it. No one is my area wants to pay me even $5 for it, so I will RAK it to one of you if you can use it, no charge as long as you live in the USA. It's been worn twice in the past 7 years and stored in a clean space in a smoke free home. Just message me and tell me that you can use it and where to send it. Youth size fits a small headed lady (like me) or a youth. It's has the normal adjustable thingamajig/strap on the back. Here is a photo. I can send more views if you need them...

Generous RAK, joblackford! Hope it makes a kiddo's next outing to a Disney park extra magical. Disneyland Paris have made their professional recording of last year's UH-MAZING (seriously) Mickey's Christmas Big Band show available for all to watch as the park remains closed during lockdown. It is my very favourite show at DLP. I went out of my way to watch it several times during the holiday season in precedented times. It's a personal tradition of mine and as the show is slightly changed every year, I never tire of it. Hoping for a 2021 return (of the show and myself as a visitor, that is). Enjoy, everyone! Absolutely worth watching on a large TV screen.

Disney+ has this thing called "Disney Parks Sunrise Series" if anyone else just needs to watch something to chill.
I think the only park I remember being there for sunrise was DHS since we had to be there last January around 7am..

Today is DLP's 29th birthday! The park remains closed but there's a virtual celebration instead. There are some fun historical quizz questions on the Disneyland Paris Ambassador's IG and there'll be a live event at 8PM Paris Time tonight for anyone interested in a bit of fun. The park is getting a serious refurb as it stays closed to the public due to the pandemic. Here's a little video showing how some of France's finest craftsmen who are used to working on heritage monuments (Le Bras Frères are working on the rebuild of the Notre-Dame de Paris cathedral) are helping with the Sleeping Beauty castle reno:

Guess who has Disneyland tickets and reservations for May? ME! Today was the first day they went on sale for California residents only. After a 5-hour online wait, I finally navigated the process and have it all booked. So excited!
DD and I are going to celebrate my birthdaymonth. Looking forward to visiting the New Star Wars land for the first time. I have no idea what to expect with COVID protocols and limited visitors, but it will be an adventure anyway.

I am not a big Star Wars fan, but I was in awe when we visited DW in 2020. It's just so well done and the rides. SO GOOD!

If California's pandemic measures for guests are anything like what Disneyland Paris did last year when they got to reopen for a few elusive months, it should be totally ok. I was very impressed by what I saw from vloggers online. Proper distancing in the queues with super clear marks on the ground, cast members keeping a very close eye on the guests to make sure everyone was adhering to the rules, hand sanitiser everywhere, great safe distance interaction with the characters at the many selfie spots in lieu of meet & greets, etc. If it hadn't been for the long bullet train ride where you can't crack open a window to ventilate the train car, I would've been back for a day at Disneyland Paris last summer when they reopened. It all looked very safe from the several hours of footage I watched on YouTube.

Is anyone buying anything from ShopDisney to make up for the lost park experience for the first half of 2021? I'm seriously thinking about adding the brand new pastel tie dye ears to my mini collection... I don't need them. I don't need them. I don't need them. I don't need them. I don't need them. (halp)

I am vaccinated and DD will be by the time we go, so I feel very safe. We are very excited for our first big post-pandemic outing. I’ll report back! And you need those rainbow ears!

Galaxy's Edge is so amazing. And the rides are so exciting! We went literally the week before everything shut down and I'm so glad we were able to go. We decided to not go until at least 2022 or later so please enjoy for me!

We are having friends and family over for an Alice in Wonderland themed birthday garden/tea party. Disney Bound-style outfits are encouraged. I am wearing an Alice outfit of light blue capris, a puffy sleeved white blouse, black headband, and I also ordered a pocket-watch necklace. DD has a black and red argyle top and will adorn it with something reminiscent of Red Queen or playing cards. We plan on wearing them to Disneyland also.

They are in my cart! I'm waiting for ShopDisney France to restock the Mickey denim skirt in my size to place the order. Carefully monitoring the stock for the ears. If it goes low, I'm ordering them straight away though.

Dingo Buzz L’eclair Bob (instead of Mike!) PanPan Tic et Tac Zip Dark Vador So funny the ones that kept their names and the ones they changed. Like Ant Man, seems like that would be an easy one to translate, funny they kept it English. I will never be able to look at Chip and Dale the same, now I want to look up ALL the Disney characters to see who else was changed. So cute!

A bit of a mindfuck for the OG/English-speaking Disney fans but yes, cuteness galore. Especially when you figure out why they renamed some characters that were translated like Panpan instead of Thumper because he's a little naughty and keeps getting reminded of what his father told him... In French, getting a little tap on your tush as a kid is called "panpan cucul" (I guess 'smackmack buttbutt' if you really must try to translate it to English). I watched Peter Pan in French last year and I'd forgotten that they translated Michael to Michel. I belly-giggled like a toddler when I heard it.
