Happy Friday! All is well here. Looking forward to a nice weekend. I went to my craft group last night and I learned how to make a "granny square" in my on going crochet lessons. So I will be practicing this and see what happens. Thanks for all the cheers for my new art. It looks nice in my living room and I hope to start another one this week. nylene- Oh dear friend, I am praying for you and your dh. I know how it is when a family member is ill. It effects everyone. So please take care of yourself and give yourself extra permissions to play, rest and whatever the heck you what to do. Hang in there and I hope all goes well for Steve soon. Regarding shopping, I know how you feel. I order clothes so I can try them on at home. I shop at JCP a lot and they have free or low cost shipping to store. We have a store a few minutes away so it is convenient and I don't have to pay for shipping most times. Also, I watch a lot of QVC. You can order clothes and they give you 30 days to like it or return it for free. The last few years, I have enjoyed going shopping but ordering it pretty nice too. justjac- Oh your classes sound fun. I totally would take those with you. Now a play. I hope you can fit it all in. Enjoy! LisaDV- How was your anniversary? Or is it still to come? How is the new house? Are you and the kids there and all moved in? I am in the cleaning mode too. I have the big things to do now like washing the curtains and bedding. We don't have a washer large enough so we will have to go to a local place to have it done. But we gotta do it. Waving hello to everyone and have a nice weekend!

It has been a week of appointments, tests, scans and surgery for DH. He has now started the chemo and it looks like a trip to SLC every three days for more chemo. I am always on the run and may not be able to check in very often. I know you can all keep the thread going. They plan to give him a short respite after 2 weeks, so that will slow things down. I may not get any scrapping done for my team.
Thanks for your thoughts and prayers. They are greatly appreciated.

maribeth , it makes perfect sense. I think you can do it! I had a goal one time to just do at least 10 minutes of craftiness every day. Even if it was to edit a photo or 2. I found I really was eager for that time every day and I would usually squeeze in more if life allowed. Linda , Glad you had fun on the camping trip. Is DH ready to fix the breaker after having to fend for himself for the weekend? justjac , I wish you lots of energy to get all your projects complete without wearing yourself out. The photography and photoshop classes sound really fun. It’s very flattering that they asked you specifically to be the director. kellyr21 , DH & I had a good time. I love the new house, but not so much the work I’ll need to do. This week’s work is more life type stuff and no moving ahead on the house cosmetics. We are moved in-not moved in. We are here, but we haven’t moved most of our stuff. I just take essentials and will keep doing so when we visit the farm. I think we have to have the movers in by September as DH started in October and only has 1 year for them to do so and the company to pay for it. As to going out to clean your bedding/curtains, I so feel for you. I was never so happy as to have the washer that fit my king comforter, although it makes all the other loads of laundry look really small. I can’t wait to see what you make with your newfound crocheting skills. nylene , Hugs and continued prayers for you and Steve. DH & I had a fun day. We stopped for lunch which since we were shopping, I expected just fast food, which I’m not fond of. But he chose a little sit down place that was really good. Unfortunately, it meant I ate more than I expected to. Then we had sushi for dinner. Plus I found a furniture store that had the couch for the downstairs, the chairs for the library, and the set for the living room upstairs. All made in the USA and we can pick our pattenrs for the chair and couch. The living room set we can pick our color. This evening, we took the kids to see Captain Marvel. We are super hero (Marvel U) fans, but I really wasn’t expecting much from this one. I was surprised. I liked it quite a bit. This week I just have regular life stuff to get accomplished – bills, normal cleaning, and I need to pull together all dd’s medical stuff so we can find her a new Dr. here, we’re thinking of also reaching out to a Dr. friend that might be able to steer us in the right direction. I’m hoping that I can also be on here a bit more. I’ve not commented on a single team challenge layout. Now it’s late, and I’m going to bed. I wish everyone a peaceful week.

LisaDV - sounds like a great day with your DH - glad you found furniture you like. Prayers for a good plan for DD's medical stuff. [and no, DH had cereal all weekend....and was happy as a clam so...no progress on the breaker. He did mow the yard and buy/assemble a rocker/glider for the porch so that was good] Quietish week ahead so hopefully I can get some more scrapping done as well as some housework and yardwork and letter writing...I do need to order photos again also.

kellyr21 my grandma taught me to crochet granny squares when I was a kid, but I'm pretty sure I've forgotten how. LisaDV DH and I went to see Captain Marvel, too. We enjoyed it. It got us out of the rain on Saturday. Linda I'm glad you had fun camping. I spent another couple hours cleaning my scraproom. It might be clean enough for pics after a couple more hours next weekend. I decided to give my Cricut Expression to a friend. I have just been using my Silhouette and it's better if it's getting used.
I also made two cards for the Peas birthday exchange and worked on my 100 day project of colouring. I'm going to use the coloured images on Christmas cards.

Good Morning ladies
Well here is an update on my goals
Day 3 (4/5/19) I made 4 ATC cards for trades, will post photo after lunch as I can't remember my log on for Flickr so a total of 3 points for Friday. Day 4 (4/6/19) a negative 1 point (if I do nothing scrafty I loose a point) - Had to pack the RV to get ready for camping season Day 5 (4/7/19) I prepared 5 sets of die cuts promised to the ladies from the retreat I attended and addressed the envelopes to them (Calvinball rules) total of 8.5 points
Hope you have a scrafty day. I will post my ATC later. Always up for trades if anyone here is trading ATC.

Day three ATC photos Here they are, and I had to open a new Flickr account because I could not remember my email/login (that is why I so like FB, you can upload your photos right there) Oh well I now have a new one and the login information recorded.
And as an addendum, on Sunday evening after working all day on the house and RV I did give myself a present of watching Mary Poppins Returns. I have been wanting to watch it since it's release, but I don't go to the theaters so have been waiting for it to become available on Directtv to rent, it came up just before I was leaving on my retreat trip, and I have been anxiously awaiting time to watch it. So I gave myself permission on Sunday evening. I loved it!!!!

I will come back and catch up later.
just got home from another couple of days in hospital. Another bout of abdominal pain. This time they sent me for a Cat scan and for ultrasound and it seems I have a couple of large gallstones. I was feeling better today, so the doctor sent me home. But she is faxing all the results to my surgeon in Edmonton. Looks like gallbladder surgery will be in my near future.

Linda, what is it with guys and their ability to eat the same thing over and over. DH said he ate sandwiches for 2 weeks straight while we weren't at the new house with him. Glad to see you're crossing off your list of to-do's. justjac, those images are adorable! You have some marker skillz! maribeth, lovely ATCs. I had been wondering if that movie would be any good, glad you enjoyed it. grammadee, I'm so sorry! That really stinks! I thought you just had routine testing to do, not that you were in pain to begin with. Did I miss that? I'm usually a reader not a skimmer. Keep us informed as to when! I have the pool people scheduled to come open it up and since certain things weren't winterized properly, do all the checks. Unfortunately, they are already all booked for May and the days in April that they had open were when we're going back to the farm or the 18th. So the pool will be opened the 18th. Which means that cleaning the darn deck which is super nasty, will be next on the to-do list. The living room has to wait. I created a couple of digital cards last week for birthdays but when I tried to print them on the laser printer with the heavier card stock the printer would not pull the heavier card stock. ugh. So I think I'll just go buy a couple of cards today. hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Day 6 (04/08/19) I don't have my scrafty total I left it at home Day 7 (04/09/19) I don't have my scrafty total as I have to look at the rules when I get home to see how much I get for making these two ATC for a trade with a wonderful lady that is in several of my groups that wanted scripture ATC's.
@nylene - How is Steve doing? I hope all is going well for you both. Love, hugs and prayers for you both.

I hope to take a closer look at your "scrafting" projects later, maribeth . Are they on Flickr? Can't imagine camping yet here. Where the snow isn't, the mud IS. I always loved camping, but our holiday trailer made its last trip several years ago: it was literally falling apart! LisaDV , I get that the pool will mean more work. But it's a POOL! Wow! Lots of summer fun and relaxation in your future, I think. Too bad about your printer. Could you print off the fronts and insides of the cards and then attach them to a plain card base? I do that all the time. Loved seeing your photos in the April Photo thread of your anniversary adventures, shopping and eating out. Sounds like an awesome day. Happy Anniversary! Any more news about your dh, nylene ? Scary times for all of you. Do you have family close enough to help with the driving to appointments and provide some support? I have a busy few days ahead. Today I get to go to my long overdue hair appointment: full meal deal--colour, cut, set. It has been delayed about 6 weeks b/c of my hairdresser's need to take a short break. And my hair grows fast. Thinking this will be a real transformation. Tomorrow is the accountant appointment, so I booked my vehicle in for a service, too. Hoping to get some photos printed and to pick up supplies for the Easter weekend, but may have to cut the day shorter than usual depending on my energy levels. Friday I have a surgical consult. Meanwhile I am trying to do little cleaning jobs around the house so it is not a complete disaster when people come for Easter. And finish a canvas for my dd. Her brothers got theirs earlier, but rather than mail it, I thought I would give it to her when she is here. Being a procrastinator, of course I didn't do hers when I was time crunching the others, so... Waving hello to @elaynef , justjac , joyfulnana , justlisa7 , msliz , woodysbetty , knutschen , shinyhappytina, Linda , patin , kellyr21, and anyone else I missed. What are YOUR plans for EASTER (or Passover)? What are your traditions for the season? I am SOOO excited to have young kids in this house for the holiday, that I will live on distilled water and vitamins if I have to for two weeks so I don't need to ruin this with an unscheduled surgical interlude. Okay... Off to get beautified.

maribeth - those ATCs are beautiful! You are very talented! grammadee - enjoy the hair appointment. Prayers for the surgery consult to go well and for surgery not to interfere with Easter. Don't overdo it - everyone will be visiting to see YOU not the house. Easter plans here are pretty low-key. DD18's exams start right after Easter so she isn't coming home (she'll be home for the summer May 1st) so it'll just be the 3 of us. No family left in the area - just some nieces and nephews who have their own families and plans. We'll colour eggs on Holy Saturday and then Mass on Easter - DD12 hasn't decided yet if she's too old for the parish Easter egg hunt so we may or may not do that afterwards. We'll have roast leg of lamb for dinner - not sure on the sides yet or dessert - I need to start figuring that out. And I'll probably hide some eggs around the house for DD12.

linda - thank you, I really love doing these ATC. grammadee - they are on flickr, new account, I couldn't remember my old account password and my work computer had logged out of it. I have to update my points on the 5th it should have been 29 not 3 - I forgot I needed to count the stuff I included on those 4 ATC's (Calvinball style) Total through 4/9/19 is 78 points. Since I will be leaving tonight (probably not it is so windy here) or tomorrow for camping my points for 4/11, 4/12, 4/13 will consist of one of the rules I added myself when I took some of the Calvinball rules out that I knew I would not be doing. I added things that I NEED DESPERATELY to accomplish and one of those was cataloging my stamps, dies, punches the Totally Tiffany way. So I am taking that project with me camping as it is easy to work on (I don't have to be creative) I get a point for every 30 minutes I spend organizing. I think that sounds fair. Have a wonderful day ladies in all that you do.

Sorry girls! My life is kinda crazy again right now. My mom fell and broke her pelvic bone pretty bad the day after her birthday. Just got into rehab and praying for a miracle of quick recovery, because next is another hip replacement soon. I go to the hospital 2-3 times a day and now rehab. Thank God they are close to my home and work. So much for exercising, dieting and scrapbooking the wedding album - at least this past week. It’s been hard. My one sister, daughter and husband are awesome and help so much too. Hope you are all well! Hugs!

maribeth, those scripture ATCs are very pretty. Enjoy your camping trip. grammadee, it’s not more work to open the pool, just a rearranging of the priority of work. I hope that your gallbladder issues ease up on you so that you may enjoy the holiday with the littles in the house. justlisa7, I’m so sorry about your mom! Hugs. Prayers for a quick recovery! nylene, continued prayers for Steve and you. How long will his respite from chemo be after this week? It’s usually just a week if I’m thinking correctly. Hope you both get lots of rest and that the chemo doesn’t throw his system out of whack. I now remember thanks to Linda that I need to buy egg dye stuff. I don’t think I packed that with their baskets. We’ll be low key here too for Easter. I’ll make a leg of lamb too, probably. At least that’s what I’m leaning towards. I think we will be going tonight to a library teen game night. DD is kind of feeling up for it. Fingers crossed that lasts all day. It’s her 2nd day this week she’s felt ok. Feeling very blessed right now due to that. OK, off to get stuff done.

Hello ladies! I have a lot to catch up on! grammadee I hope you won't end up having to have surgery! Gallstones sound pretty painful. Any kind of stone sounds pretty painful honestly. I hope everything pans out so that your Easter plans aren't derailed! nylene you've been in my thoughts quite a lot, that's a lot of driving to SLC, I'm glad they are giving DH a bit of break in there. You have had so much going on, I hope life calms down for you soon! maribeth I love the ATC's! And I love your take on the 100 day project. That was my goal the first time I attempted this project. I didn't make the 100 days but I did enjoy getting a bit of crafting time while it lasted. I would love to set a goal of something crafty everyday all year. Glad you enjoyed Mary Poppins Returns! kellyr21 I have crocheted a few granny squares in my day. My mom made all kinds of granny square projects when I was a kid. I tend to go more toward single piece crochet projects for some reason. Having a crafting group sounds so fun. LisaDV your anniversary day date sounds like it was fun. How cool that you found so much furniture! I'm with grammadee on the pool, that is going to be relaxing this summer. justjac your classes sound like fun, I'm not much of a get out and go go type person so I'm sure I would be feeling overwhelmed by trying to do two classes and the only thing I've ever heard about photoshop is that it's hard. I love seeing everyone's digital page though. Your 100 days project is toooo cute and you do a great job coloring! linda I hope you have fun camping! I am not a camper at all. Not in a tent or an RV. I like my amenities lol. Men fend for themselves in the strangest ways lol. justlisa7 you have had a lot going on too. Your poor mom! And poor you too! I'm sure it's a lot of stress trying to work and visit her as often as you can. That's good that you have some help with it all. I just started watching the Marvel movies last year and finally saw Ant Man last weekend - loved it! And then went to see Captain Marvel the next day. I didn't care for it too much. I was hoping to love it but I just didn't, so I'm hoping to warm up to that character as it develops in future films Gearing up for Game of Thrones this weekend. I hope this final season lives up the hype. My days have been busy with car repairs and getting it licensed, a few extra hours at work and it just feels like I've had no time or energy for scrapping. My 100 days knitting project has me ready to chuck it out the window lol. I think I have a mental block about knitting another stocking but I'm not giving up. And I'm just wiped out today and probably headed to bed soon even though I had hopes of working on a layout. It's frustrating to start the weekend tired. I want to enjoy it as soon as work is over lol. Hope everyone is having a relaxing Friday evening!

Quick check in. The local surgeon says he sees no reason to rush the surgery, or, indeed any reason to do it unless I have another attack and there is imminent damage caused by it. But he referred me to "my" surgeon in the city for a further consult, since she would be best equipped to deal with scar tissue from earlier interventions. He suggested I meet with her and then decide if we wanted to book the surgery on our schedules, or if we want to wait until it becomes an emergency situation. I think I prefer to get it scheduled. If it could be after dd's family moves back to the city it would make everything a lot easier for me. If I don't hear from her in two weeks, I will call her office.
He suggests being careful with my diet and drinking lots of water to avoid another attack too soon.

I feel like this week has flown by. It has been pretty crazy. grammadee, I am glad to hear that you won't need emergency surgery to upset the Easter plans. You are in my prayers for healing. justlisa7, I am so sorry about your mother. I hope she is doing well in rehab. I'm glad you are there for her. maribeth, I haven't had a minute to thank you for the beautiful thank you cards for me and Steve. I love your ATC cards. Hang in there and have fun camping, my friend. Just waving to everyone else and saying thanks for thoughts and prayers for us. We have seen so many doctors with varied opinions, but the consensus is to continue the chemo and no more surgery for a while. Hopefully never. DH has a week off the chemo and then back on it again for a couple of weeks at least. Our kids have been wonderful about helping with the driving and DD brought us enough food to keep me from having to do much cooking in the evenings. I will try to get here more often. I have been trying to do the Addiction meetings alone, but I think we are going to try to arrange for substitutes if they want us to continue. Sending hugs!

Thanks for checking in, nylene. Hoping that the break from chemo will give you both a bit of a break. Is there someone who can step in at the addictions meetings? You need to look after yourself and conserve your emotional energy. Glad family has been able to help. Did you watch GoT, joyfulnana? I thought it was a great way to ease us all into Westeros again. And it left us with lots of "Now what?" kinds of questions. Can you knit blind while your eyes are glued to the TV screen? How is your mom, justlisa7? Is the therapy in prep for the hip replacement? Hoping things are settling down for you: no one can keep up that pace forever. I am back to my normal diet as of yesterday and coping. Made a few cards this week, completed a page and a scrapbooked canvas for my dd. Have been decluttering, laundry, house cleaning. Beds upstairs are made and dusting/vacuuming done up there. Have the basement play area done. Still have the main floor to do. Am sending dh to town for the morning tomorrow so I can wash the floor in the entries and the kitchen. He has been working on replacing the runner on the ramp and landing in the garage entrance and has promised he will tidy up that entrance area on Tuesday. Leaving early Tuesday morning to pick up dd and her little guy at the airport. They will be here for a week. On Friday one of her brothers and his family will arrive for the Easter weekend. Waving to everyone!

Happy Monday! Wishing you all a good day. Yesterday we had an unexpected day trip to one of the coastal areas about an hour away. We went to church at this mega church down there, It's like being at a small college campus. Just beautiful and amazing. We sat outside and watched the service and that was just lovely. Then, after that we just stayed down there and had lunch at a nearby restaurant and then spent time at the mall. Just a perfect time with perfect warm, sunny weather. After that, we came back to our city and stopped at JC Penneys. LOL! Y'all know I love that store. My dh wanted a few dress shirts and I got a vibrant green lace dress. I haven't worn lace in like forever but thought I would give it a try. What's new on my craft agenda? Well, still working on crocheting. Our little group is still going and I am trying to get this "granny square" down. Also, I want to try some new art this week too. grammadee- Oh so sorry to hear about your hospital stay. Very glad you are back home and getting back to normal. Those home routines are a comfort aren't they? Keep taking it easy and by all means, scrap! nylene- What a wonderful family you have!!! So happy they are helping you. I know it means so much to have them near. Sending you a hug and a smile. LisaDV- How fun for your dd to go to a game night. Maybe being in the new town with new friends will be good medicine for her and you too. You and your dh are such wonderful parents. Hang in there. joyfulnana- My dh is a big Marvel and all around superhero fan. He has seen most of the movies and I have seen small parts of them on tv. justlisa7- Hope your mom is feeling better. Sending better wishes and prayers to ya. Waving hi to all you others gals.

nylene - I will be keeping your husband and you in my prayers! Hugs!!! I am so sorry for all you two have gone through. Praying God heals him! grammadee - I hope all goes well with your gall bladder surgery. Hugs and prayers!! And you feel so much better afterwards! My mom is doing better and using a walker on and off. She is coming to stay with my husband and I on Friday and will have PT 3 times a week. As long as she could go to the bathroom and I didn’t have to lift her, I was ready to take her out of there. Hoping she heals quick and can go home for a little bit while we put her home for sale. Of course, no more flip flops and she has to have a bracelet on in case she falls that alerts us. She’s very independent. Holding off on her hip replacement for a few months - gonna let the pelvic bone continue to heal. I did make her a card. My first ever shaker card. Will have to share a pic when I can.

I'm trying to get caught up on all your news. This month is going by so fast for me! DD is still pushing herself hard to be as active as she can be. She's had me out hiking several times, and even had me climbing up a mountain (a little bit of the way). Thankfully, she recently made a new friend to hike with, so she won't have to rely on me as often. I prefer the nice flat HS track to walk laps on, close to where I parked my car! No scrapping for me so far this month, but lots of paper shopping. I'm really looking forward to the crop in May! nylene , I'm so sorry to hear about Steve's eye. He's been through so much. Please know he's in my prayers. grammadee , I'm very glad to hear you're feeling better. I hope you can wait until fall when it's more convenient for you. justlisa7 , I'm glad to hear your mother is doing better too. She sounds like a strong lady! kellyr21 , your painting is so beautiful! They remind me of bridesmaids since I wore pink dresses in 3 weddings. My DDs had lots of fun playing princesses in those dresses when they were little. LisaDV and Linda , count me in with you as far as calling "good enough" on the housework. I'm trying to make a decent effort this week in an effort to get ready for dinner guests this weekend, but it's still a wreck. I'm good at stuffing the mess behind closed doors, lol. Linda , your ornaments are so fun and colorful. You could photograph them and punch them out in circles for a scrapbook page! LisaDV , we really loved having a pool at our previous house. You're going to have an even better time though, because your kids are big enough to do all the work to keep it clean! How is DD doing? I think about her often marybeth and justjac , your ATCs and cards are wonderful! I'm so impressed with your dedication to your 100 day projects. Waving hi to @elaynef , woodysbetty , joyfulnana and shinyhappytina
