Hello, Pokey Friends. It's been a week since I was able to get to my computer to post. I can read on my phone while sitting in waiting rooms, but I can barely text so certainly can't write a response. I have also done some Pinterest looking on my phone. Little by little I am learning to use it. Things are looking up right now. We saw the super-specialized surgeon today who does nothing but cancers near and in the eye. The chemo has really helped. Much of the cancer is not visible now with the naked eye. It's not all gone, but the chemo is doing its job. He wants DH off the chemo all this week and will do surgery next week, followed by a super-duper (his term) dose of chemo that he could never tolerate while awake. That will be followed with several more courses of chemo at home. He's very optimistic that this is the best course. The PET scan showed that it hadn't metastasized so that's great news too. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. We feel very blessed. maribeth , I am amazed at the work you put into your tiny art pieces. Do you come up with your own categories or is there a list that you follow. How many people do you trade with? What fun! I hope you are enjoying the nicer weather. Sorry we had the Spring snowstorm while you were in Utah. I hope we can get together again. Nylene, glad to hear the optimistic news on DH situation. Will continue to send prayers your way. There are several groups I am in where we trade, there is not really a set number, you just post photos of your work and if someone likes one they will ask to trade. So sometimes it is really hoping and everyone is actively trading and sometimes not so much. There are no set categories you can do what you want, but some people will only collect and trade for certain things. I do it for the joy of community, so I accept all trades every level of ability. For me it is all about the sharing and the happiness it can promote. It would be wonderful to get together again. Would enjoy a crafting day with you so very much. Hugs MB

Good to hear from you maribeth. And good to see you are still creating away. If you want to count points a different way, you are more than welcome to join into our next Team Challenge. Sign ups are open until Tuesday evening and the challenges start dropping early Wednesday morning. I will add a link at the end of this post. I finally got some scrapping done! Did my April page yesterday (for next year's calendar) and then did the March page this morning. For March I used a photo I had used before for my scrapbook, but this one will be for the calendar that I copy for each of the kids' families. March page for 2020 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr April page for 2020 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr And then I went on this morning to finish THIS page. Hoping to get its facing page done this weekend as well, but I need to get busy getting the house ready for my brother and his wife who are planning on staying here tonight. Hi Pokey's! Hope everyone is doing well! Lovely lovely pages and ATC's! What a precious precious great grand daughter nylene! Is she your first great? My mom has 14 greats I think which doesn't seem possible to me! I can't believe how grown all my nieces and nephews are. So happy that you got got good news on DH eye! What a relief. It sounds like he's still got a hard road ahead for awhile though. LisaDV wow so much going on! And all the injuries! No good! Lots of blood, sweat and tears going into this house. ( Literally!) It will be worth it in the end, even if the kids won't get to go to college lol. I would say I am jealous you've seen End Game, but I'm going to see it tomorrow night. I had thought I may have to wait a few weeks. We decided to forgo GOT this week so we can stop trying to avoid the spoilers lol. Congrats on the new baby! woodysbetty that's so exciting that you are so close to closing and moving in! I know it probably seemed like forever to you, but to me it seemed like the whole process went pretty quickly! grammadee I don't know how you do all you do and still find time to scrap! You must be an organizational wizard! It's awesome that you get so much time with your kids and grands considering how far apart you all live. I haven't given up on the stocking and I'm actually making progress now. LisaDV suggested doing one row a day and that's worked. I've got the pattern established now so I'm doing 2 rows a day lol. I've been putting together some pages to take to my nieces for our annual iNSD crop. Last year we cropped at her house which didn't work so well. She had 2 littles and was very pregnant with the third. This year we will be cropping in a hotel room lol. After shopping at SG. I'm excited to crop but I'm just as excited to shop at a real LSS too! I know there are supposed to be a few here in my area, but I never think to find them and check them out.

Good Morning Pokeys!! Have found out that patience is truly not my strong suit as waiting for the house is making me crazy!! I can't seem to settle down, feel flaky and ungrounded ( even more than usual LOL!) so next Wednesday can't come soon enough!! I just got my beautiful holiday card from justjac and have it right next to the lovely card from kellyr21 so each morning I have two things to really smile about and remember connections!! nylene - CONGRATS!! For both the beautiful great-grandbaby and the wonderful news from the specialist. You so deserved both !! LisaDV - thanks I am excited and and will post pictures of our closing day! grammadee - hope you are getting enough rest and taking care of yourself!! Hugs to all, know that I think of each of you often!!

joyfulnana, We won't go see End Game until Friday May 3rd. We were all traveling when it came out. Kids & I to the farm & DH is in Boston. The 3rd will be DH's first full day back at the new house. We're trying to avoid spoilers as well. We drove my the cinema yesterday and there was not one parking space left. We had friends try to get tickets opening day and couldn't get tickets until Sunday. We drove up to the farm for appointments on Thursday. I've basically been going since. Today is the first full day without appointments or errands so it will be cleaning and packing. Monday - Wednesday are more appointments. BUT the good thing is I pulled out a real paper kit and created a double page layout. It was so good to play with paper. I'll be back to leave love and respond but probably not until after the first of the month.

Hello all! Had a Girl Scout lock-in on Friday night - the girls earnt their First Aid badge. Then went straight from there to the Girl Scout council annual meeting (2hr drive). I received my 25-yr pin. Dh shopped his way home from there - we stopped at so many stores...Joanns, Michaels, TJMaxx, Walmart...He likes to take advantage when we're someplace with more shopping than our rural area. I was exhausted by the time we got home at 6. Made a few cards yesterday after sleeping in to catch up sleep. Today I'm catching up on housework and hoping to hit the scrap table also later. LisaDV - you've been so busy - that new place is definitely a labour of love! woodysbetty - I bet Wednesday can't come fast enough! Looking forward to hearing all about you settling in and getting your scrapbook stuff back out. joyfulnana - good job on the stocking! How fun that you'll be cropping with your nieces! Enjoy! grammadee - after all your busy-ness, you're on a roll with scrapping! maribeth - beautiful work!

LisaDV, what kind of doctor stitches the way you described DH's wounds? In our office each stitch was individually tied and cut. I hope it is healing well. I agree that a lot of blood (literally) sweat and tears have gone into your new home! joyfulnana, Swayzee is our first great-grandchild. We have 3 grands married and 2 others old enough, but not married. I have a feeling we will be having more in a year or so when the couples finish college. I am glad you are still working on the stocking. Maybe a couple of rows a day is the way to go. Good luck! grammadee, I agree that you really get a lot of scrapping done for being so busy. You obviously have a lot more energy than I do. I have been trying to keep up on housework this week, but I seem to be interrupted so often. Being the sole driver keeps me hopping. Lots needs to be done in the yard and garden. I love your pages for the calendar and the overheard conversation about "growing up". I'll slip over to the gallery and leave love. I am still behind, but working slowly to catch up with all the month's projects. Linda, you certainly manage to get a lot done! It sounds like you are very involved in DD's Girl Scouts. DD just called to say she is working on their week long summer camp that requires 20 hours of training before they go. I think she is really enjoying it. She was never a GS but was a 4-Her all her growing up years. She has used a lot of those skills in working with her GS. woodysbetty, the countdown is on! I mentioned to my contractor son how happy you were that your contractor would make changes. He said he thinks that's one reason he gets so many referrals after building a home. He wants them to be totally happy and will just about move mountains for them. His wife also cooks a big meal and takes it to them the first night his clients move in. She also bakes pies for the near neighbors and he includes a note thanking them for putting up with the traffic and dust during building. He always seems to have work, so those little extras must help. Can't wait to see your finished home. maribeth, thanks for answering questions about your small canvases. I will catch your latest batch and leave love in the gallery. I love all the originality! Are you going RVing again soon? I still need to get you a photo of the Utah County courthouse. It has had construction all around it for a couple of years so it's hard to get close. I think it will be finished this summer. I don't think I will be able to join in the INSD festivities this weekend. It's DH's b-day and his surgery and I know I will have the kids around checking on him. I'll check in with everyone, but probably won't get to scrap. I hope you can all do some scrapping or scrafting. Waving to all.

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a good weekend and a terrific day so far. Last week and over the weekend, I was not feeling well. I had some tummy issues. At the moment is feels better but what a bummer! I didn't get to do as many things as I had planned but hopefully this week I can get on my art table and have fun. Oh, I ordered some pp from scrapbook dot com. It is the Kaisercraft "Everlasting Collection." So pretty! I hope to use it for Mother's Day cards. So, I gotta get myself moving to set these cards made. woodysbetty- Oh, I am glad my card is brightening up your heart. We are with you! Hang in there because May is right around the corner. nylene- What a sweet little baby. I know you must be so excited to have a new baby to enjoy. Hope you and your dh and having a better day today. Hugs to you! grammadee- Hope you and your tummy are feeling better too. @elaynef- Hoping you are doing well. Any new decorating projects for the house? I just need to do some cleaning like washing the curtains and blankets. This is not that exciting but a must. LOL! Waving hi to all your ladies and hope you have a wonderful evening!

Just popping in to say a quick hello. Life is crazy busy right now with my mom (who is doing better and getting around) and her little puppy (still potty training), staying with us. We did manage to see Avengers last night and was happy for that. 4 weeks and we leave for Hawaii, and I am so looking forward to it. My husband and I are so exhausted. lol

Kellyr21 Thanks for asking about my projects!
I've had a wonky winter. To keep it short and sweet,I got some weird virus. Zapped all my energy. My bff died. Not dealing with that well. Haven't scrapped much. No big projects. Had some issues with my knees.
Happy that I've managed to keep house clean and meals prepared for dh and keeping up with piano practice.
Dh and I about to leave for 2 weeks in the blue ridge mountains with 8 of our kids and grands, so we are expecting to come home with lots of pretty pics and good memories to scrapbook and have a more productive summer. Good wishes to you and all my pokey friends!

Hi Nylene Yes, RVing which is why I have not been around much. Work has actually been quite busy for me and then getting packed and unpacked each week has not given me time to scraft. I had to let go of keeping track of my daily points with all that is going on right now even if I have a bit of time to create I have no time to track. I have been organizing a bit in my room as well, thinking I can be a bit more productive by changing up some of the way I am storing items. Awesome on the couthouse photo, hope the construction is completed soon. Take care and I will be sure to keep in better touch going forward.

Hello ladies
Well life gave me lemons and I made lemonade. Oh no I should not sound so dramatic. It is just that work got unreasonably busy (better than standing around like I usually do). However it came at a time when hubby and I do our Thu-Sun camping trips which has made my life quite chaotic. Therefore I let my project of tracking my points go by they wayside, just took too much time away from the precious little time I have to create.
So, although I have not been able to work on as many projects as I would like, I am still trying to do a bit of crafty goodness on most days. I have worked on some greeting cards, and been trading ATC's and Passbook Pals Stamps on FB. I have not been creating any more of these, I am just trading the ones I have on hand. I need to reduce my inventory a bit. I sure wish there was interest on this board for trading these, I think it would be fun and a great way to use up scraps. I am organizing my craft room as well, I think by re-doing some way I am storing items I may be able to access items quicker and scraft a bit more often because items will be grouped together and handy.
Will attempt to check in here more frequently.
Happy scrafty day everyone.
