msliz - thank you! I'm planning to make a similar set for Advent - but will take a break from hand-sewing first. I almost never hand-sew so this was a slow project for me -took about an hour/ornament for the cutting and sewing. Glad that your DD is being active - and that she's found a hiking buddy! grammadee - hopefully you don't have any more attacks. A scheduled surgery sounds better than an emergency one. @justlisa - glad that your mum is on the mend. kellyr21 - your new dress sounds pretty! nylene - continued prayers Hi to everyone else. I'm feeling poorly today - spent most of the day in bed - and have cancelled my Girl Scout plans with DD12 for this evening. Hopefully tomorrow I'll feel better.

hahahaha@grammadee there is nothing else going on for me when GOT is on! I'm so glad it's back and so sad that there are only 5 more episodes left Lots of questions now though and I love spending the speculating about what's coming next lol. So glad you are feeling better! justlisa7 I'm glad your mom is healing and feeling well enough to get out of there. I'm fortunate my mom is still in pretty good health. She's going to be 80 this summer, I had no idea. I thought she was 75ish lol. linda that Lenten tree is so so pretty! I love it! Hope you feel better soon! msliz I've been a paper shopping fool. I suck at trying to freeze. I swear I binge and stop binge and stop lol. That's awesome your DD has someone else to hike with and good for her getting herself more active. I feel the same way about walking, give me a nice flat surface lol. I would walk on my lunch, but there are nothing but big hills coming in and out of here and I'm just not in shape enough for that! lol No scrapping here and the knitting is minimal. I really miss scrapping - which is probably why I'm shopping Hope everyone is having a great week so far! Thinking about you and Steve nylene.

So bummed - my great start to my scrafting daily has hit a roadblock.
04/10/19 - -1 04/11/19 - -1 04/12/19 - 2 1 point for doing something and 1 point for an hour of organizing/cataloging stamps and dies 04/13/19 - 2 1 point for doing something and 1 point for an hour of organizing/cataloging stamps and dies 04/14/19 - -1 04/15/19 - -1 04/16/19 - -1
Total through 4/16/19 - 77 points so I am down a point since 4/9/19
Had a wonderful time camping, however when we returned I came down with my dreaded cold sore. I don't know why I get it. It is always just on my upper lip. It gets me so down (such a silly thing to ruin a persons day, but it does) I don't ever want to do anything when I have one. I use Abreva and it does seem to shorten the time. At least I have made myself walk on my treadmill (maybe I need to give myself points for that - LOL), but no mojo to scraft. Hopefully I can push myself tonight and get a little something done.
How about the fire at Notre Dame, so devastating, I am watching live feeds from the Washington Post when the are available to keep up on what is going on there.
Have a wonderful scrafty day ladies.

joyfulnana, That’s funny. We went into Captain Marvel expecting it to bomb and enjoyed it. I hope you were able to enjoy the weekend. grammadee, I’m glad the local surgeon doesn’t think there is a need to rush and you can enjoy your holiday. When is dd & family moving back to the city? I’m assuming you are off on airport pick up duty. Enjoy your week with the family. nylene, you should really have them find substitutes to take over the addiction meetings. You need to concentrate on you and Steve. Hugs. How’s this week of rest going? Continued prayers. kellyr21, ooh, that sounds like the perfect way to spend a spring day. Glad you had such a relaxing and fun Sunday. What type of new art are you trying this week? Linda, those ornaments are awesome. I know I said that on the other thread, but it deserves mentioning here too. justlisa7, Glad your mom is doing a bit better. Hope she continues to heal quickly and well. When her home sells, is she moving in with you for good? We are the original 3 Star Wars fans, except for dd who doesn’t like any space movies really, other than the MCU ones. msliz, Has the activity helped dd to feel any better or deal with the pain better? I’m glad she made a new friend. My DD is struggling. I thought we had turned a corner so it’s a bit frustrating, for her too. Hoping that the pool this summer and being closer to town will help. If she could find some kids to hang out with too. As to the pool, Lol, yes, the kids were outside skimming the leaves off the top of the pool yesterday. The pool people came to open it, but we need a new skimmer and the pump works but needs to be resealed. They’re ordering the skimmer and will be back. We’re at a stand still until then. But the pool is filthy. The dirt on the bottom is gross. I was hoping they were going to clean it and all of that, but I guess not. DH says to ask how much they charge for that though. I think since it’s our first “real” pool he wants everything done by the professionals until he gets comfortable with it. woodysbetty, I’m so excited for you with your closing being so soon. I hope you are out having a blast doing things until closing day. Ready for some “new used home tales”. If you remember the water was frozen in the pipes in the first floor when we bought the house, due to the seller realtor leaving the front door wide open during the polar vortex. Well, the main floor powder room toilet has been giving us issues. With DH’s schedule it’s now been over a week since it’s been out of commission. DH replaced a broken phalange (?) and put in a new wax seal, but it still leaked. We bought a new toilet. DS & DH go to replace it on Tuesday. Nope the new one is broken. DS cuts his finger. It’s about a 2 mm maybe 3 mm cut. The internet site dh checks says go to ER over 1mm. We never go for such a small amount, but off DS & I go. Luckily no stitches. But a tetanus booster and they cleaned the wound and glued it. It’s right on a joint and they didn’t want it to continually be opening. DS says he’s not helping with toilets ever again. Lol. Then 2 of the upstairs toilets didn’t close right inside the tank yesterday and had the constant running water. I didn’t find either until after an hour each time. Ugh. Hopefully the guts of the tank will not need to be replaced and just a good cleaning will suffice. Of course, it made me think woodysbetty has the right idea and we should have just built new. But every time I drive up to our house, I always say “it’s such a pretty house”, so maybe not. I’m ready to spackle my living room walls! Huzzah! Except the spring set for dd’s cast iron bed is up against the living room wall, so I can’t get to that wall. I JUST realized where I could possible move it with DS help on the main floor. Maybe I will be spackling today. So we're plugging along house wise and life wise. Wishing everyone good health, rest, and joy.

Hello, Pokeys. Hoping everyone is doing okay. Dd and dgs have been here since I picked them up from the airport Tuesday morning. Dgs is keeping Grampa busy. They are riding around on the quad and the golf cart and cleaning up the yard with the tractor. This morning he helped me bake our Easter cake and it is in the fridge. We will fill and decorate it tomorrow.
Friday starts with an egg hunt and pancake breakfast at the fire hall in the morning, and we will join dh's sister's family for their traditional meatless Good Friday supper. Ds and his family should be here by then and will join us there. Then Saturday we will have turkey and all the trimmings here. Ds & his family plan to be here until Monday morning. And Tuesday I will be driving dd & little guy to the airport.
I have been taking some photos and will post when all the excitement dies down.

maribeth , beautiful ATCs. I started spackling and realized it will need more than my skill level. The whole wall should really be skimmed. After returning from the farm and the iNSD crop, my new goal will be to remove as much wallpaper from every room of the house as I can. Then to hire painters to come and spackle and paint. Maybe I'll have decided on paint colors by then. We ordered a couple of Amazon items the other day. I know I had set my default shipping address to the new house, but they went to the old house. One item was a salad spinner which I was waiting for to clean my greens. They do save time. Oh, well. I went in and deleted all of the old addresses. There were ones for each of us going to the old house, plus ones for dh & I going to the post office. We will not have that mistake again. lol I'm really just stalling right now as I need to go figure out how to install .csh files to PSE. Ever seen the Matrix movie, where they just plug in your head and download data. I want that! OK, I'm off to stall somewhere else. ooh, I forgot I brought down laundry to start this morning... --The only time to be happy about laundry is when postponing something else. Wishing everyone else a laundry free day!

Good Morning ladies 4/18/19 - After my upload of the 91 and a start of 2 points for the day, I created these ATC's for a Maymay Made It Non-Swap No point count on this yet as I left my spreadsheet thumbdrive at home will pick up at lunch or count tonight. Then this morning 4/19/19 I made these two little baskets for my co-workers. Counting 1 point for each of these and 1 for doing something crafty, so starting out the day with 3 points. Happy scrafting ladies have a wonderful day.

Happy Resurrection Day to all my Pokey Friends. Have been really busy the last couple of months, ( mostly health related & moving MIL from independent to assisted living) but i have wonderful news: Both my DH & I are doing well. DH does not have to do dialysis & my heart issues seem to be ok. I had a skin cancer removed from my back under general anesthesia. (although it was about 2"-3") my scar is about 8"-10" making leaning onto a chair, car seat or sleeping difficult, but praise God they think they got it all. I have been following along here a bit & am praying for you all who have expressed health issues....I know your prayers meant alot to me. I have actually worked on a few LO's but haven't posted or commented. Hope to do so soon. Our DIL & 3 grandsons are here for the weekend. (DS had to work.) My heart is full. But wow. They tucker me out- ages 14. 12 & 3-1/2.

Happy Easter, Pokey Peas! maribeth , so beautiful, especially seeing them altogether as a collection! LisaDV , you asked about DD - Her increased activity isn't helping at all with the pain - it actually makes it worse at times. But it is helping with her confidence. She has a body that she can't trust to work properly, so she's inclined to say no to most activities. Her new counselor has her saying yes to challenging activities, suffering through them, and coming out the other side a little worse for the wear but still alive. She's accomplishing things that make her proud of herself, and that's a very long way off from where we were during her teenage years when she was inclined to hide in her room. Now she wants to see what she can do! Wishing all you Pokeys and your families good health and happiness!

msliz, thanks for sharing. We're going to try to get a counselor for DD now that we are at a location where we can find one minutes away rather than 45 minutes away. She's at the point where she wants to hide and not do anything because it will cause her to be sick. But she's already sick, so I say go distract yourself a bit. But I'm not the one feeling ill all the time either. So hard to know what to do as a parent so I really appreciate you sharing. Happy Easter to all of my Pokey Friends! Wishing you all blessings unbounded!

Happy Easter ladies!! I have some time to kill before I meet DS youngest and his GF for lunch, my choices were pea or scrap. I decided to pea and catch up with everyone patin So glad you both you and your DH are doing well! I get amazed at how big a scar a "simple" surgery leaves. Yay that they got it all! I know what you mean about the DGK's. I only have the one and he totally wears me out. Everytime lol. LisaDV so much going on with the new house! Are you fully moved in there or still transitioning? grammadee sounds like a fun busy weekend for you! I have not taken a single picture lately. marybeth those are beautiful! I love seeing them all at once as a collection. So pretty! Just wanted to pop in and say hi! I've got to get to the sharing thread and start catching up there. I tried the other night but it didn't happen and I'm far behind on seeing what everyone's been doing. It always inspires me to scrap when I check out that thread. Have a great day! The weather here is perfect for a change!

Happy Easter, Pokeys! We had our turkey dinner yesterday, so today is leftover day--except for the Sunday brunch of bacon and waffles the kids love. We didn't get to colour eggs yesterday--the kids poured all their creative energy into creating Easter baskets out of paper grocery bags. So they did that today. I have a few minutes after brunch while the boys are tearing around outside. Trying to decide if I will bake ds a bd cake this afternoon. His birthday is tomorrow. Two of the boys will nap, so maybe the third one can help me with that project. Or maybe I will just have a lie down myself, and let them pick up a cake on their way back home tomorrow... Good to hear from you patin. Good news about your health and your dh's. Glad you checked in, msliz. Did I see that you were hoping to scrap in the iNSD crop? Bet you are excited now about your move, woodysbetty. Hoping all the rest of your plumbing repairs get done without a hitch, LisaDV. And that your pool is ready for use, soon. I am way behind in the sharing thread, too, joyfulnana. Scrapping, sharing and spreading love will have to wait until after I deliver dd and dgs to the airport on Tuesday.

It has been a week of appointments, tests, scans and surgery for DH. He has now started the chemo and it looks like a trip to SLC every three days for more chemo. I am always on the run and may not be able to check in very often. I know you can all keep the thread going. They plan to give him a short respite after 2 weeks, so that will slow things down. I may not get any scrapping done for my team. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers. They are greatly appreciated. Hugs and healing energy...

Hello, Pokey Friends. It's been a week since I was able to get to my computer to post. I can read on my phone while sitting in waiting rooms, but I can barely text so certainly can't write a response. I have also done some Pinterest looking on my phone. Little by little I am learning to use it. Things are looking up right now. We saw the super-specialized surgeon today who does nothing but cancers near and in the eye. The chemo has really helped. Much of the cancer is not visible now with the naked eye. It's not all gone, but the chemo is doing its job. He wants DH off the chemo all this week and will do surgery next week, followed by a super-duper (his term) dose of chemo that he could never tolerate while awake. That will be followed with several more courses of chemo at home. He's very optimistic that this is the best course. The PET scan showed that it hadn't metastasized so that's great news too. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. We feel very blessed. justjac, I am really impressed with your coloring skills. What a fun project to color every day for 100 days. You do a great job with both alcohol inks and colored pencils. Thanks for sharing them with us. grammadee, I'm glad you didn't need surgery to interrupt your Easter plans. I hope if you do need to have the surgery you can plan for the downtime. Hugs. LisaDV, you have become the energizer bunny. So many things going on, and so many things getting done. I loved seeing your furniture shopping photos. What a fun activity. msliz, I admire your DD for pushing herself, even if it's hard afterward. I'm sure it's ultimately more satisfying than hiding out, not doing anything. Hugs to you for helping her through this. patin, I am thrilled to hear that your DH and you are both doing well. Take care of yourselves. I'm glad to see you posting and hope you can have some scrappy time. maribeth, I am amazed at the work you put into your tiny art pieces. Do you come up with your own categories or is there a list that you follow. How many people do you trade with? What fun! I hope you are enjoying the nicer weather. Sorry we had the Spring snowstorm while you were in Utah. I hope we can get together again. justlisa7, I'm glad your mom is doing better. What are her plans after selling her home? I hope she does well with her physical therapy. She's lucky to have you and your husband! kellyr21, how are you liking your lace dress? I hoped to get to Penney's before Easter, but it's in a neighboring town and I just didn't have time. I took your advice and ordered a couple of dresses from the internet. We'll see if they fit and if I like them. Hope you enjoy your purchases. Linda, your Lenten ornaments are beautiful. Did you hand stitch each of the felt pieces or were you able to glue some. They look like lots of work, but what a beautiful collection you have finished. I love the white "tree" where they are displayed! joyfulnana, I hope you didn't give up on your stocking! I am amazed that you have such a talent. I have tried many times to knit and just can't keep track of all those loops. One loop at a time in crocheting is all I can handle. Keep up the good work...it will be worth it when it's finished. @elaynef, I love that photo of you and your DH for your 52nd. Congrats on so many years together. I'm sure you have posted other things this month. I will check out the "photos" thread and the team shares sometime today. woodysbetty, you must be so excited. You must have a great builder to be so willing to make changes. I can't wait to see photos of it finished. I didn't know what to expect at the Dr. appt, today, so we planned NOTHING else. That means I have the afternoon to do some scrapping. I did a big house clean for family to come for Easter, so I feel entitled to some "me" time. I have several pages started and need to just do some finishing. Waving to other Pokeys not mentioned above. It's nice to come here and find sweet friends!

nylene - so glad that the specialist is optimistic. I'll keep praying! And congratulations on the new little great-grand-baby - she's precious! maribeth, those baskets for your co-workers are really cute. I’m enjoying your ATCs too. patin, YAY! So glad you both are doing better. I hope your scar will heal quickly and let you rest in comfort. joyfulnana, we are unofficially moved. We have very limited things from the farm here. Until we get the wallpaper off and walls painted and the other bits and pieces done, we don’t want to buy new or move furniture from the old house. It’s always harder to get things done when you have to move stuff around. I hope you are enjoying your perfect weather. I need to get the rest of the screens in the house so I can open up the windows. It’s suppose to be high 70s today. grammadee, we didn’t get Easter eggs colored until Sunday too. I hope you are still feeling well. justlisa7, how’s your mom? woodysbetty, I bet the closer it gets the harder it is to wait. I hope you’ll share photos of your new place. nylene, I’m so thankful that the Dr. has a such a positive prognosis. It still stinks that he’ll have to have surgery though. Sounds like this Dr. knows what he is doing. That’s always a good thing. I hope you did take a bit of time for yourself to scrap. You need to take care of you too. Continued prayers. Congrats on your new great granddaughter. She's beautiful! Also glad that your son is over the moon for his granddaughter and not sharing the happiness from heaven. Like justlisa7, I felt a sad reading the first part and then a little chuckle over the correction. My family got a new addition yesterday! I was not so patiently awaiting the news. My great nephew was born!! He and his mama, my niece, are both doing well. They induced early, she wasn’t due for 2 weeks and we were still afraid that a c-section may be in the cards, but she is one tough cookie. Baby was 9# 10.6 oz. That is still a BIG baby. I would hate to think what he would weigh in another couple of weeks. His big sister and brother are super excited. Of course, my sister, their Mimi sent a family photo and tears of happiness started flowing. On the house front, yesterday, the plumber came and the line to the refrigerator is holding water, so the break is between the line and the refrigerator. Next step, the appliance guy needs to be called. The pool guy came back and our children don’t get to go to college now, but they get a pool, so all is well. The pool guys were here ALL day. They come back this morning. The pump which they said worked last time, actually had a crack in the hair trap cover, no cover easily available but a new pump was, so they went off to get that. We knew coming in that the pool had not been winterized properly, so I’m very grateful for this company to check everything and get everything going the right way. I know it will be really good for my dd. But ds is even excited by it which is nice. The good news is we switched Don’s auto insurance to our family policy when he canceled his business insurance. Well, they didn’t cancel correctly we found out last month & took care of it. So I received a refund check that will definitely help towards the overall cost of the pool repair. A huge Blessing for sure. Oh, we had another trip to the ER on Saturday too. This time it was Don’s turn and he did get stitches. He was taking care of some limbs and such so he could mow, put the pruning saw down and then tripped and fell on it. It caught the inside of his index finger. 4 stitches pulling all 3 cuts together and leaving a huge bump on the knuckle where she pulled everything up. The good news the pruning saw was brand new so no worry about dirt, the bad news, the pruning saw was brand new so super sharp. Other than the stitches, he also had back pain from the fall. Today his back finally feels okay. Yay. Off to get ready for the day. I’ve already ran the dishwasher, but want a shower and a load of laundry complete before the pool guys get here.

LisaDV, I'm sorry about the expense of the pool, but the insurance refund must have been meant to be! How is Don doing with the stitches. Did I understand right that it was like a stellar cut and had to be pulled together at the point? Owie! I watched a stellar cut be stitched in our office one time. It was on the face and took a million tiny little stitches to make it perfect. Congrats on the new grand-niece. I'm glad they didn't need to do a C section. That's a big baby! It's so nice to have a baby in the family again, don't you think? It has felt soooo good to scrap and work in my scraproom. I have hardly been in here in the past 3 weeks. It feels like home again and things are a bit back to normal. DH actually went to work for a few hours this a.m. He has to be careful because he has stents in his tear ducts. He can't look side to side and has to turn his head to look. It's pretty painful to forget and move his eyes. He's learning. I am posting four of my pages here for the Pokey Pea point. My points are pretty low this time. Happy Easter 2018 Tool TimeHave a great week, everyone.

nylene, beautiful pages. It's so good to see some pages from you. I'm behind on the April sharing thread but trying to get caught up. Don didn't have a stellar cut or stitches in any sense of that word. Don's cuts were in succession but jagged from the pruning saw. I thought they would take each individual cut and stitch. But nope, she stitched from the bottom cut to the top cut. I was actually pretty ticked off when I saw it. We will be looking around for a better facility. It really pulls the the skin and make a big bulb on his knuckle. But it is good to have a baby again. I got my gratuitous baby feet picture today. He has big feet. I wish I were there to kiss them. There is also something different when it's the next generation having children. grammadee, I hope you also take some time to rest so you don't have a gall bladder attack.

Good Thursday morning, Pokeys! I am still trying to catch up on the boards. Still no scrapping for me, but I did sort photos last night. And today I will be gone again. Accountant appointment this morning followed by errands and a trip to the LSS and M's, then lunch with justjac. Not sure what dh has decided, but tonight is his Seniors' club monthly pancake supper, so I may be meeting him there on my way home. Tomorrow dh's friend is planning to come to pick up his boat that spends the winter in our yard. Not sure if his wife is coming along for the drive. I should probably shovel out the living room and do a bit of house cleaning in the morning just in case they will be coming in for coffee. Amazing how much grass and leaves 3 small boys and a couple of dogs can track into the house in just a few days! And there are definitely some sticky patches... I also need to do some laundry as one of our upstairs bedrooms may be in use on Saturday night--my brother and his wife have a function nearby here Saturday evening and I offered them a place to stay. Okay, off to get ready for the day. Have a good one!
