Vice President Pence on Thursday suggested that the Democratic Party supported late-term abortion and "infanticide" while speaking alongside Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in Ottawa. Pence said, among other things, that he was bothered by the Democrats "in our country, and leaders around the country, supporting late-term abortion, even infanticide." "But those are debates within the U.S., and I know that Canada will deal with those issues in a manner the people of Canada determine most appropriate," he continued. "For President Trump, for me, for our administration, we'll always stand for the right to life." ** CNN noted that late-term abortions — procedures that typically take place 21 weeks into a pregnancy — account for less than 1.3 percent of abortions in America. ** "It was a cordial conversation, but it is one on which we have very different perspectives," Trudeau said. Trudeau has repeatedly spoken out against restrictive abortion policies. After Alabama's governor signed a law that bans nearly all abortions, the prime minister said he was "deeply disappointed." "It's a shame that we increasingly see conservative governments and conservative politicians taking away rights that have been hard-fought over many, many years by generations of women and male allies," Trudeau said. ** thehill.com/homenews/administration/446274-pence-says-democrats-support-infanticide-during-visit-to-canadaSpout your propaganda all over, thanks! I think it would be really great if leaders from other countries would stop having 'cordial conversations' with men in positions of power that are actively oppressing and enslaving women.

I would agree with you generally on what most of us would define the meaning of "cordial conversation" as being "warm and friendly". I wish leaders of other countries would refrain from using that phrase when dealing with Trump and his administration. They had a meeting/conversation and leave it at that. No need to go on and give a description of that meeting/conversation. There's no need to pamper to Trumps ego that any of them were that happy to be meeting with him because in reality I don't think any of them are. But, I will give Trudeau the benefit of the doubt on this occasion, knowing his stance on women's rights, that he was using "cordial" by its other meaning of" strongly felt" especially when he added "one of which we have very different perspectives" in the same sentence.

I agree, Mr Trudeau was tactfully giving a pretty good picture of the meeting albeit in polite code, we all know w hat he meant 😏
