What kind of a house does $3,750,000 in your area?

OMFG. That room full of dead things! (Dead things, Mikey, dead things!)

Ish. I hate that house. Too dark, too formal, not cozy. It would make me cry. I'd take the pool tho.

Edited to add, in my neighborhood? Any house and a about 20 others. What I would do if I had that $ for a house is put a cozy cute house on a billion acres and get a giant barn and turn it into a scraproom, Magic the Gathering game room. 

I see a price reduction in their future. Bleck!

You can buy a really nice house with acreage in my area for that. This one’s across the river from me, nothing in that specific price range is on the market in my immediate area right now but there are homes like this near me. link

This is the most expensive in my town.... less than $3Million. The lake is 5 minutes from my house.

TEN bathrooms?!?!?!?

Clearly no one in that house knows how to make a bed.

10 bathrooms seems excessive even for that size house.  Now is just me or is the kitchen ridiculously small compared to the rest of the rooms.  

You'd have to head west a bit to find prices that high and because it's on the lake in Lake Geneva were shoreline is expensive.  Here's one in the price range.

a nice house in a nice neighborhood. there are $3 million dollar homes a couple blocks away. there is a small cottage being advertised for $900,000 that does not have street access...you have to walk up a set of stairs. not a lot of land with $3 million.. the bottom of the market is about $1 million.

This is what it buys in my area. This is 3 close blocks over. Pretty but very cold being on the water. I don’t like the house at all. We have a huge problem with offshore investors buying properties and they leave them vacant.

The house in the OP is grand but too opulent and austere to be my comfortable home. 

You get some kind of mansion right on Lake Michigan with your own private beach.
