Despite initial queasiness from some aides at the overtly racist implications of Trump's attacks on the minority lawmakers, most now say the President's tactic of tying the liberal "squad" to the larger Democratic Party is a winning tactic. Many have come to his defense, declaring him correct in his view that critics of the United States should move somewhere else. And who campaigned on our country being a mess, over and over again.......... and use MAGA..... make America great again, because he thought it wasn't so great and told us that for months! As he was leaving the WH this afternoon a reported asked him if everyone should leave............. he again said if they don't like it they should leave... But we aren't allowed to say anything?! That is our system! linkSuppressing the voices of the people...gee where did that also happen...🤔🤔🤔🤔

One down!!
A New Jersey judge who argued for leniency for a 16-year-old accused of rape because he “came from a good family” has resigned, according to the New York Times.

I am so disgusted watching his rally. I don't even have words to describe how I feel in an appropriate, accurate way.

I am so disgusted watching his rally. I don't even have words to describe how I feel in an appropriate, accurate way. It won’t matter. The people who voted for him, even if (big if) they have the decency to be embarrassed by this, still think Hillary would have been worse. I think they’re delusional, or course. We are doomed!

When a charge of discrimination is filed, EEOC conducts an impartial investigation to determine if the laws were violated. You may call 1-800-669-4000 to be connected with the nearest EEOC field office to you.
What you should know about National Origin Discrimination under Title VII
The law protects people against employment discrimination on the basis of their national origin. Following are some examples of employment discrimination based on national origin.
Harassment Based on National Origin Ethnic slurs and other verbal or physical conduct because of nationality are illegal if they are severe or pervasive and create an intimidating, hostile or offensive working environment, interfere with work performance, or negatively affect job opportunities. Examples of potentially unlawful conduct include insults, taunting, or ethnic epithets, such as making fun of a person's foreign accent or comments like, "Go back to where you came from, " whether made by supervisors or by co-workers.www.eeoc.gov/eeoc/publications/immigrants-facts.cfm

(CNN) Republican Sen. Rand Paul objected Wednesday to an attempt to pass the bill funding 9/11 first responders' health care unanimously, arguing that passing such a long-term bill without offsetting the cost would contribute to the national debt. The delay presents another hurdle in the dramatic fight to secure funding for the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund, despite Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell's continued reassurances that the fund would be fully funded. After comedian and fund advocate Jon Stewart gave emotional testimony last month accusing lawmakers of failing to support the bill, the measure was swiftly approved for to a floor vote in the House and passed the lower chamber last week on an overwhelmingly bipartisan 402-12 vote. ** "It has long been my feeling that we need to address our massive debt in this country -- we have a $22 trillion debt, we're adding debt at about a trillion dollars a year," he said. "And therefore any new spending that we are approaching, any new program that's going to have the longevity of 70, 80 years, should be offset by cutting spending that's less valuable.""We need to at the very least have this debate. I will be offering up an amendment if this bill should come to the floor, but until then I will object," added Paul, who voted in favor of President Donald Trump's $1.5 trillion tax cut. That tax cut is helping drive a deficit increase. ** www.cnn.com/2019/07/17/politics/rand-paul-objects-9-11-funding-unanimous-consent-gillibrand/index.htmlSen Rand Paul.... So you are going to cut program spending.... How about rescinding the massive tax cuts for the wealthy?!?!?! Oh, right, YOU need to extra monies while many go hungry including our military families who don't have enough to eat without food banks ON military bases!!
Check this out Sen Paul: SAN DIEGO — Dozens of people formed a line outside Dewey Elementary School on a recent Monday, awaiting the arrival of a Feeding San Diego truck that gives out free groceries every other week. The vast majority weren't homeless or even newly unemployed. They're the husbands and wives of U.S. military service members."I knew we wouldn't be wealthy, but I thought it would be a lot more manageable," said Desiree Mieir, a mother of four whose Navy husband's most recent deployment lasted almost eight months. ** To make ends meet, Mieir and thousands of other military families around the country routinely rely on federal food assistance, charities or loans from family.

** www.nbcnews.com/news/military/why-are-many-america-s-military-families-going-hungry-n1028886When we were in the military and didn’t even have kids we qualified for assistance and food stamps, but no one in the Navy would even tell us how or where to begin because “it would make the Navy look bad”. This was over 25 years ago too. I can only imagine how bad it is now. The only reason we survived was because my parents were military so I knew how to stretch a budget, DH ate most of his meals on the boat so I was the only one who needed food at home, we had a kick ass Sams Club and Air Force commissary and I ate 1-2 meals a day. If I made a huge box of pasta I ate it for 3-4 days. Lots of ramen and lots of pasta. The other half of my comment about 9/11, I put on FB. Never Forget apparently has a statute of limitations. Never is 18 years and 9 months.

why is it okay for DT to say 'if you don't like it here then you can leave' about OTHER people, but his entire campaign was based upon 'make America great again' which implied it wasn't a good place before he got put in office? If he didn't think it was that great, then shouldn't HE have left, instead of running for office? "If you don't like it here then make it better" (by getting elected to a national Congressional seat) apparently isn't within the capacity of his supporters to understand. That rally with the chant of 'send her back' literally made me nauseous. And like someone on MSNBC said this morning, it wasn't even 'you can leave' but 'send her back' which implies her leaving with, or without, consent. (I know, I'm being logical and rational, and it's impossible to battle fear and that crowd/mob mentality with rational thought. That's what's so maddening about all of this.)
