Your TN pages look awesome, LisaDV . Great way to document the new home. I looked at them more closely in the Gallery and left some love. @calimom2 your "on the job' page is lovely. Beautiful story and I love how the soft colours really help the photos to stand out.

sleepingbooty I love your take on a baby page with that adorable puppy. I laughed when I saw the "it's a girl" strip! I really love the same-but-different layers underneath each photo, and your photo / element placement is always spot on. @calimom2 I love the addition of the pink background paper to the brown and white of the title and photos. It gives it a lovely feminine feel. I love the hearts strip and the free spirit / wild and free strip down the side of the page too. KikiPea what a great selfie photo of the road trip girls. The fun papers and elements are perfect for this page. I love the title on the "Simply Hilarious" page. I'm dying to know what was so funny (and I laughed at the girl on the right, who does NOT seem to find it funny at all! ). The gorgeous patterned papers are perfect (again!) for this page.

Thanks! We were playing the game “That’s What She Said”. It’s rather...crass. The girl on the right was actually eating, I think, and we’d been playing for a while. I think she was over it at this point. She’s the one who brought the game, and it’s totally her sense of humor...like a 12 yr old boy. LOL

dStudent-Driver by Lisa Davolt, on Flickr Used the sketchtember 15th sketch. I'm doing a separate 6x12 insert for journaling. @calimom2 , that's so sweet. I love the design and the elements you chose to tell this story (the washi & hearts especially) and the journaling.
KikiPea, your girlfriend pages are so wonderful! The first one is so beautiful with it's colors and I always struggle to use people die cuts but you've used them like a boss. And tacos and hot sauce made me laugh.

I've been working on this for a week. I'm so so so pokey right now! I started with a layout by linda as inspiration and can't find it right now: it had large fish-tail banners (both coming from the left edge) and a large vertical section on the right with a large word. I used her design to start my design process. I also aimed to keep my layout "simpler" than normal - other than the journaling "cluster" I didn't want to add a lot. My favourite part of this layout is where I used the "dream big" sticker, and created my own "too big! too big!" addition Untitled by kirstendrew, on Flickr

This is the title page for my P365 album. I used the 'Layer Works No. 990' template by Studio Double D, and NONE of the credit goes to me for this page - all I did was add a photo, make the glossy 'Welcome' and create the gradient background paper. Points: 42

sleepingbooty I’ve been looking forward to seeing more of your pages. Argh, what an adorable puppy! The woodgrain background is just perfect for such soft and velvety pictures (yes, I am imagining cuddling her) and the “it’s a girl” is the perfect little detail. 2marbles the senior photo page is so rich and bold. I would never have thought to emboss the photo corners! Such a great textural detail. And I love the little cluster of musical puffy stickers. And the Tinkerbelle page - another bold colorful page. I’m assuming you added all that glitter to the background. I love the way it picks up the shine of the costume from the photo. LisaDV I had to laugh at your Oh hell no page, especially the way you have the title integrated into the story. And the story, lol. What the fluff, indeed! I love pages like this which capture small moments of family life. And we all need a good laugh every now and then. Your A5 TN sounds great - I don’t know why more people don’t fold letter sized pages in half to make their own notebooks. It’s a great size. And what a great idea to add all the details about your house in there. So many smaller details to record in a fun little format but you can fit quite a few pictures, or a nice big picture in there easily. That pool! Looks wonderful! @calimom2 another wonderful page about your daughter’s bond with animals. I love the stack of pictures and the washi tape border anchoring them to the edge. Your journaling always captures what these photos mean and also how they make you feel - I love that. KikiPea yay, more colorful fun pages! I’m impressed by how many group photos you have to scrap. And how many you’re in I love the florals clustered behind the girl die cuts, and how you used words stickers and embellishments on both pages to tell more of the story. On the TWSS game page I’m impressed by how you made quite a dark photo feel bright and cheerful. The taco page is loads of fun. Great job using the packaging in there too. LisaDV I’m guessing your student driver page will have lots to tell in the journaling - good idea to create an insert for that. I love the little student driver flair on the right side. And the colorful arrow paper on both sides is perfect. kitbop I LOVE the way you told the story on your very hungry caterpillar page. Especially the “dream big/ too big too big” and “oh my heart” details. Lol. Fantastic use of alphas. And good gracious, that thing is crazy. I’ve never seen a tomato hornworm before but that appears to be a spectacular specimen. I can do without those in my garden. AussieMeg you can take a lot of credit for the lovely family, and for your good taste in choosing such a beautiful background to put them on. I love the rainbow colors and the way you echoed them in your background paper. I don’t know how you make a word look glossy like that so I’m very impressed Chinagirl828 Yum, indeed. Your page is making me hungry! I love how much detail you’ve been able to include in the journaling. I love the little details like the knife and fork patterned paper (took me a minute to notice that) and your dots and splatters are spot on.

On the 3rd and 4th I did a little tidying to get ready for a new push of cardmaking but ended up turning a bunch of experiments and unfinished card panels into cards to donate. I found this embossed panel experiment I'd set aside, tried adding the sugar script hello die cut (I bought recently and cut a bunch of them) and realized that one of my little astronaut guys would look cute (I have a stash of them too). I'm going to leave this uncolored and I'll add a note to the hospitalized kid recipient that they could finish coloring it in themselves. Black and white space hello card by jo.blackford, on Flickr I had a stack of distress oxide rose backgrounds that I did after watching some Jennifer McGuire technique videos. I used colors I didn't much like because it was a technique that used a lot of ink so I didn't want to "waste" good colors. That's always a dumb move - I'm highly motivated by color. Anyway, they also got the hello die cut treatment. They're going to Bring Smiles to Seniors. Roses all over cards by jo.blackford, on Flickr Found these old circles and ovals of gold foiled floral paper I had no idea how to use (the paper was thin so sometime last year I stuck it to cardstock and die cut shapes but then got blocked). Added black and gold cardstock from my late MIL's stash and more hello die cuts. They'll go to BSS too. Black white and gold hello cards by jo.blackford, on Flickr Shimelle Head in the Clouds offcuts got gold cardstock scraps and the hello die cut treatment, plus some leftover butterflies. I cut 12x12 papers into 6 card panels and then I can make a 7th card with the scraps I love using up scraps! Head in the clouds cards by jo.blackford, on Flickr I have another little stack of panels that I've given up making into something special, so they'll get die cut hellos and get put in the donation pile, hopefully this morning. I just had to cut more hellos, which is really tedious. (Is there a challenge for that? mass producing die cuts to stash for future projects?) And I'm going to stamp and cut more butterflies for my stash, and try to find a flower to stamp cut and stash for quick cards too. Gotta get the ScanNCut out, ugh, so that means I need to tidy up some more! doh.

I'm still obsessively finishing up my unfinished projects. The rest of the orange roses all over waterstamped (?) panels - I had the thought to add a bigger flower and it worked to heat emboss (clear over black) over the top of the existing design and add the sentiment. I considered trying to color in the big roses but decided it wasn't necessary. One got a butterfly I colored in last year instead. Roses hello cards by jo.blackford, on Flickr Next, a bunch of stenciled background that I made more than 2 years ago and then didn't know how to turn into nice looking cards. Now they have hello die cuts and butterflies (with more or less successful coloring right over the top of the oxide ink blending). I actually like a couple of them. I even remembered to try adding white highlights with a gel pen and really like the way that looks on the black sentiments. Butterflies, stenciled background hello cards by jo.blackford, on Flickr This little card was made from an ink blending screw up - green clouds don't exist... on EARTH! But who says there isn't a planet out there somewhere with green clouds? So I added my trust astro-kiddo and some random space fun and I'm leaving this one uncolored so the kid who receives it can color it in if they want to. Space coloring card by jo.blackford, on Flickr This floral spray didn't stamp cleanly and shifted in my Tiny Tim (should've used Big Timmy!) but I love the effect of this stamp on this patterned paper, so I die cut it into a panel and turned it around until I found a nice spot for a hello. Floral hello card by jo.blackford, on Flickr And finally, all the pieces for love love love were just hanging out on my desk, leftover from other projects, and I was playing around and thought it looked OK so I stuck it together. The red on red hearts are the b-side of a Doodlebug Xmas paper I won last year (there's a challenge for that!) Love love love card by jo.blackford, on Flickr I've almost cleared out the box of UFOs! Every so often I like to throw together low risk/quick cards that I can send away and not worry about. They're an antidote to the heavier decision making of prepping cards for sale. Hopefully this has me primed and ready to go on the cards I need to make next.

nylene - I love the prettiness here! That strip of scallops/clouds and the light floral background are perfect. What is her name? joblackford - I can't praise you enough on these recent sets. They are clean but not spartan. The font is fun, the rocketman is too cute, that "love" card with the rainbow background The shimelle paper background - perfect too. KikiPea - so much fun, I love your clusters. And a special shout out to the photo on "simply hilarious"...getting a group shot that shows the fun, that shows lots of faces, that isn't posed, that doesn't make anyone look awful - WTG! LisaDV - OMG, LOVE teen driver - the "race flags" banner, the papers, the smaller but high contrast title, added to the fact that my DD got her learners permit 3 weeks ago... perfect AussieMeg, I always love rainbow layouts and you've nailed it. The radial lines in the background pull the eye back around through the colours rather than making it a one directional look! Chinagirl828 - I adore the graphic look you always come up with - I need to keep mine simpler and mimic you! Love it.

nylene, grammadee - regarding tomato hornworms. This boy was 5" long and 3/4" thick. They eat the plant. Seriously. Can devour an entire fully grown tomato plant. I discovered this guy because a huge arm of one of my big bushes was suddenly reduced to spindles without any leaves. It was SCARY. We took this one inside and let him cocoon/pupate into the moth in a big pickle jar. Just feeding him for the one day it took for him to pupate made me cry for the tomato plant I was using up! But we wanted to see the moth he became. That's an upcoming layout I had never seen these before, but once I found him, I also found a lot of GREEN versions of him - same size, but better camouflaged. We had to search them all out (mainly following the trail of eaten plant) and took them up to a vacant/overgrown lot because I can't bear to kill things that are just doing what they were born to do.

now have the Beatles "All You Need is Love" floating through my mind. Oh, and thanks for the back-up photos challenge. I just took some photos off my iphone last month and had yet to do the major backup, as I was backing all my computer photos up to a new portable EHD. I finally did it! Tell me about it!! I watched Yesterday at the movies this week (fun little film, really pretty good) and so I've had allll the Beatles songs floating around in my head since. But I was definitely singing All You Need is Love while I was making this one. (Better than at Valentines when I made a punny card that said "don't go bacon my heart" "I couldn't if I fried!" and caught that Elton John disco pop earworm for weeks!) But YAY! for backing up! I think it was partly you talking about getting photos off your phone last month that made me think of it as a challenge. I try to do a full laptop backup every week (( have it on my housework tracker and I do it a lot more often than I dust!) and I got google photos to do automagic backups of my photos on my phone and computer too.

grammadee sorry you were battling the light. Your "16 and on a roll" page is very bold and I bet the shiny elements look really great in real life. Your baseball page is very fun. I like all the round elements echoing the ball. The round path for the journaling is really cool. And thanks for taking one for the team on the shopping challenge. I hope you got some fun supplies. I'm not going to be doing too well on that challenge (with any luck) so I'll have to make lots of cards to compensate. craftymom101 I love your dinosaur cards. The colors are so fun and who wouldn't laugh at the "love you this much" sentiment? Silly T-Rex. You found good spots for the dots and puffy stickers (I need to learn that skill!) Will you be putting these cards in your shop or do you have your own plans for them? I made a bunch of tween birthday cards today. I think I got 12 finished, but my back was starting to ache so I collapsed on the couch with my laptop and Hallmark channel before I took pictures to share. I got a good way through my audiobook while I worked, so I'm feeling accomplished! A good story helps keep me working longer.

Thanks, joblackford. Hope your back stops causing you pain. I had to cut my page making off b/c of my back as well today. craftymom101 those dino cards are really cute! Love the sentiments and the dots. I have some little boys with birthdays in August, so may need to dig out my dino supplies, but mine are not in such cheery colours.
