craftymom101, I love your dino cards. I hadn't seen the Dinosaur SU line. That would be perfect for all my Dinosaur themed Cousin Camp pages. Adorable cards. How do you get such beautiful clear photos? I am struggling with that.

Tell me about it!! I watched Yesterday at the movies this week (fun little film, really pretty good) and so I've had allll the Beatles songs floating around in my head since. But I was definitely singing All You Need is Love while I was making this one. DH wants to go, but we haven't made it yet. haha now I want to watch Ella Enchanted just for them singing that song. Ugh. I use google photo for automatic backups too, but DS informed me recently that the hold the don’t acknowledge your rights to your photos. Meaning they can use them if they want. So I’m searching for a new place. grammadee, I love the Rookie Ball page. Left you love on the sketch page and saved it to fave’s on flickr. Your On A Roll page is terrific for a new driver, that stop light tag is adorable. craftymom101, Very cute cards. I may need to get this set. DH has started the joke of me having little t-rex arms and the kids have joined in. I’m shorter than all of them now. DD just passed me this year. gramma, your cards are beautiful! I love the black, white and pop of color. Chinagirl828, love the grid style and the gray and white. Those soft pastels hearts and the florals are perfect too. AussieMeg, Choose to Shine: I like your lift way more than the original. It’s just beautiful. Love all the elements. Let your feet wander: Beautiful page. I love the blended photo and the hot air balloons and the sentiment – wow to the sentiment.

LisaDV I found some info about google photos (LINK) when I was looking for a backup site and I'm not too concerned (although that might be denial or naivety). My take is that any site that hosts photos for free will "use" them in some way. That's the bargain you make. I'm OK with them using the photos to train AI (which all the companies are very focused on these days, and which serves me really well when I'm searching for specific photos). And them serving ads based on my photos is not much different to them using their bots on my email and social media posts, which has also been happening for the past 20-odd years. I'm always torn on whether I want to see relevant ads or not!

Here are the cards I made yesterday. Echo Park Teen Spirit ("boy") collection birthday cards for a 10 yo to give to his friends. I used half of the 6x6 pad and most of one sheet of stickers to make a dozen cards. (The spaceman card uses an Ella and Viv background paper) Lots of vintage tech on a couple of these. I figured more is more for these kinds of cards. Tween spirit birthday cards 1 of 2 by jo.blackford, on Flickr Tween spirit birthday cards 2 of 2 by jo.blackford, on Flickr

Wow! This place has been in a creativity FRENZY! The pages and cards are AMAZING!!! So happy to see all those cards, as my niece is coming over next Saturday to create birthday cards and I am always looking for inspiration. I usually create my bd cards one at a time with the specific recipient in mind, so was wondering how many I could actually get done in an afternoon, but now with these cool ideas I think I can collect supplies to make this quite a productive event! Think I am caught up on Flickr. teacherlisa , your digi drawing is really cool. Glad you also created a couple of journal pages with the explanation about the class as well as your artwork. Love your food page! I have been really enjoying your journal pages over the last couple of months.

You HAVE been going card crazy, gramma! Who needs World Cardmaking Day in October if you and joblackford can roll out that many awesome cards on a weekend in July? Have a question about this last batch. Love that diagonal pattern. Was that washi? pp strips? Or already printed on the paper? Another gloomy day here. I am working on a couple of pages I can't share until this next Sketchy Saturday. Dh has gone to town for coffee and I have the house to myself, so I may move on to the next couple of pages. Or I may just veg here in front of the computer screen with my coffee...

teacherlisa, I love your work with the ProCreate. Your sketches are great. Have you been sketching long? I laughed out loud at your Hamburger Helper sign. My sentiments exactly. Great page design. I love your baseball page and especially the journaling. Your background paper is the perfect color for your photos. Great job! Chinagirl828, joblackford, LisaDV, gramma, AussieMeg, grammadee I think I have caught all your pretty projects in the gallery. You have all been busy through the weekend.

For those who have asked about these they were made from 1/2" strips of patterned paper. The sentiments were printed and also cut into 1/2" strips. The strips were then lined up on 3.75" x 5" pieces of white cardstock. That piece was glued to a 4" x 5.25" piece of black cardstock. That piece was glued to the front of a 4.25" x 5.5" white cardstock card (an 8.5" x 11" piece of cardstock folded in half to make the card) The set of black white and red with the circle embellishments were made by placing the pieces on a 4" x 5.25" base which I then glued to 4.25" x 5.5" black card. The gold embellishment circles are old left over stickers placed on a slightly larger black circle. The sentiments were cut from vinyl then placed on the cards.

Thanks for the compliments. That is my one and only sketch so far lol... Procreate is kinda above my head still, but the premise is similar to photoshop in that you have layers...so we started out taking a selfie, which is layer one, and then you put a layer on top of it, and do some tracing/coloring etc. So, I guess what I am saying is that the whole sketch isn't w/o help, some is tracing, but it still wasnt easy. I am going to watch some YouTube videos for more instruction, it really seems to be a powerful app.

teacherlisa , thanks for the explanation. I'm sure you are going to enjoy it as you get further into it. gramma , thank you for the explanation. I hope you don't mind if I take this idea to Card Club the next time I have to teach. I know our members would love this for their scraps. I think you meant to type 4.75" X 5.5" instead of 3.75". You might want to change that. Thanks again. I love, love, love these cards. Here are my first Cousin Camp pages. joblackford , thanks for the link. That was not what DS was saying. I guess I should have searched it out for myself. Your Tween spirit cards are all super fun. teacherlisa , thank you. I love your art skills page. How cool that you created that image digitally!! Even some artists have help now and then by tracing something, don’t sell yourself short. It still takes lots of time and you did it wonderfully. I’m trying to learn Sketchbook right now, it’s so much harder than using real paper and pens or brushes and paint. DD14 has a much easier time with the digital apps for drawing. Your lunch page is great too. I love the sign. Date Night: how awesome to capture and I like the minor leagues as well. The monument brought a tear to my eye as well and I’m happy you captured that on your page as well. grammadee , I think I left love for tee ball and summer elsewhere, but I’m going to do it here as well since I noticed my comment on the sketch thread for Rookie never showed up….?? I really like that you’ve been stretching the sketches to 2 pages. They are fabulously done and Tee Ball is no exception. I love that baseball pp on the right and all of your embellishments that really bring home your story, especially the inked edges that look like they slid into home plate. Nothing Says Summer: I love the happy bright colors – it really does speak to summer. I also love the summer lettering with the multicolors. Beautiful layout. gramma , I had to fave these cards. They are gorgeous. Love the patterns and colors. Thanks for sharing how you did it. I see similar cards in my future.
nylene, you must have posted while I was going back to those items I hadn't commented on yet. Your Cousin Camp pages are Fabulous. I love the bright red color with white and a pop of other color (s). Those dinos are adorable.

Family Selfie 3. What happened to 1 & 2 - well they are saved onto their canvas but with no supplies added in. I started with the 3rd for some reason.
I lifted this page from pinterest which was actually a save from the old 2peas in a bucket site. And my take: Not nearly as cute, but how can I compete with that adorable baby. I am still very happy with my end result.

I stole - I mean lifted - I mean borrowed from Pinterest. You made me think twice here. The base card measures 4.25" x 5.5". Half of an 8.5" x 11" sheet of cardstock.. The layer on top of that needs to be .25" smaller all the way around or 4" x 5.25". The the layer on top of that (the one with the stripes) needs to be .25" smaller all the way around which is 3.75" x 5".
