I made one more tween birthday card yesterday to try to get rid of the last remaining stickers on the sticker sheet. Wordy tween card by jo.blackford, on Flickr Using up lots of stickers from the Echo Park teen spirit collection (all the stickers I couldn't use for cards). I built a crazy sticker collage out of everything I had left over that might work. It was really hard to get things to stick when I wanted them to and not when I didn't. A couple of random icons (a blue football and a popsicle) are hidden behind in a couple of gaps in the scripty "awesome." I glued the whole thing down to a neutral background from the paper pad and added the stars to some awkward corners (which worked really well! All those hours of watching Shimelle may be paying off. lol). I ended up with only 13 stickers (out of the original 98ish?) leftover when I was done with the 13 cards I made. I used 13 of the 24 papers, so I'll have enough to make good use of the second sticker sheet I bought, and maybe my nephew can have the rest. I'm probably going to reproduce some of the cards to sell as single cards in my shop after some prompting from a friend. The original set is a custom order set for my SIL.

Love your cards, nylene and joblackford . I really need to start collecting my card making supplies so they are all ready for this next Saturday. Don't have to pack them, just make sure they are handy for when our niece comes over to make cards with me. The plan was to do gardening all day today but the scrap gods want me to be scrapping, so they sent rain again. I glued down and put the final touches on a LO I had started yesterday and then put together a quick 2 pager today. This was my page from yesterday. I love the neighbourhood that our ds lives in. The streets are quiet and safe for the kids--and there are a LOT of kids on that crescent--to play and really enjoy their summer. Most sunny days begin with someone ringing the doorbell and asking if the boys can come out and play. Arriving home from Mom's ball game on the Sunday I was there, they boys were excited to get out of the vehicle, grab their wheels, and get out onto the pavement with the rest of the gang. What a wonderful way to grow up! Join a Bike Gang by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Points: Two pages created and shared (4). #1 rectangles (2), #2 squares (2), #5 sunshine (1), #6 engineered letter stickers (1), #14 three papers on one page and one on the other (4), #15 one cs on second page (1), #47 bike riding (2), #49 June '19 photos (2), #53 cut aparts (1). Total: 20 points. This was a quick LO from today. It was really easy to do since I had purchased the background piece for the second page at the LSS. The page came with doodled outer border, printed stars, and the diecut overlay already tacked on. The title word on the right page and the outline stars on the left page were in the package of diecuts from the same collection (Coco Vanilla Boys Rule). Even the little phrase stickers are from that collection. Ready for kindergarten by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Two pages created and shared: (4). #1 rectangular photos (2), #3 square pages (2), #16 diecuts (5), #24 green & blue (1), #30 stars (2), #48 two collections on each page (4), #49 all 2019 photos (2), #55 one word title (2), #67 single photo on second page (1), #84 claiming my one time ketchup for my GRAD page (10). Total: 35

Oh boy, I got very behind on my commenting again! Everyone seems to have been busy over the weekend. gramma you’ve been a card making machine lately! The red/white/black bold graphic cards should be very well received, and the Halloween cards are so much fun. Good for you using old stuff/leftovers/stash too. I love the cheerful strip stripe cards - the colors are so bright and pretty. Perfect for summer. Chinagirl828 I love your grid page with all those lovely photos of the village. I love that you’ve been able to include so many pictures while still maintaining some a calm, airy page. The grey papers go really well with the photos. AussieMeg a pocket full of sunshine indeed! What a bright cheerful page and you rocked the points on that one! The beach page is very airy. I love the way the photo bleeds out into the background - it’s perfect for a big wide open beach shot. I need to try something like that now that I’m doing digital (I might need to find a beach first. lol. Any excuse to go to a beach!) LisaDV Your day trip pages - the views are gorgeous. Nothing more needed. The explore page is delightful - the hexagons are wonderful and I love all the soft natural elements flowing over the page. The double page with lots of photos is really gorgeous too - I like how you were able to use the more photo-realistic elements effectively. And wow, the pages just keep coming. You got a lot done! I have no idea what stink stones are. Glad to see you got yourself in several photos. You’ve got a great balance of views and people shots. Love how you highlighted the skipping stone with a frame as well as showing the throwing action. On your old2Ps scraplift page - you guys are aaalllmost as cute as the baby! I love the cascade of circles. I like that you were able to add the journaling to one of the circles. Looking forward to seeing selfies 1 and 2 soon. teacherlisa I like the way you’ve documented your Procreate class. (It’s a neat app, isn’t it? I’ve only played around a little bit but I would love to get an iPad and really get into it). Your lunch page is fun. I love the border of word strips across the top. Your date night page captures the colors of your environment and the warm night. It makes me want to go see a Little League or Minor League game (I’ve only ever gone to big pro games, but I love LL on TV). grammadee you look like you’re having a lot of fun with all your baseball/tee ball pages. Lots of great action photos on the navy blue pages. I love the grassy green of the summer backyard ball page - it screams summer with the blue skies and sunshine. The visual texture on the background paper is wonderfully grassy without being literal. On page 4, your Join a Bike Gang page is so sunny and fun. It’s great to see kids racing around with their friends on a quiet street. My nephew has that too. Even at 10yo he’ll drop his iPad games in a second when the “gang” comes knocking. The Ready for Kindergarten spread is delightful. Lovely photos and how wonderful that the page was so quick - no one would know to look at it. I love that you brought that one star down onto there photo.
nylene how nice that everyone wears their matching shirts so your pages have a consistent color story - lol. You're a pro! I like the little scattering of butterflies on the first page, and of course the dinosaurs are great, especially now that I notice they’re taking care of their eggs I’m looking forward to seeing more of your CC pages. Your bright pink baby girl card is really fun. The hanging line on the front and the pop up blocks inside are just great. I’m sure that will be very well received. KikiPea what a terrific photo!! The page design highlights it perfectly. Lots of fun colorful elements, but the focus is still exactly where it needs to be. His little face just makes me laugh so much

nylene, that welcome little one card is super adorable! I love the popup inside. joblackford, Another fantastic card. I love the cluster of embellishments. grammadee, laughing at the “be totally awesome join a bike gang”. Love how you tilted the photos on the left side and have everything lined up on the right. Ready for Kindergarten: He’s so adorable! Your pages are fantastic. I love the black with white stars die cut. KikiPea: This Photo (Brain Freeze): hilarous! That face is just priceless! The colors and patterns and how you design it really lets it be the star too. Love!

Leaving some page 4 love: nylene 'Baby Card' What a sweet card to welcome a baby girl into the world! I love your pop-up cards and this one is no exception. Beautiful shades of pink and such an adorable clothing line. Bravo! 💗 joblackford 'One More Tween Card' Eep, I love the graffiti style of your layering. Very y oung punk-ish. Awesome way of using up a sticker sheet. The peace sign pattern paper is the perfect background for this project. ✌️ grammadee 'Join a Bike Gang' Oh my, your title just cracked me up! 😁 Love the torn yellow paper, like sunshine streaming in. And the different alphas used for your title make this summer LO extra fun. Sounds like your grandchildren are growing up in a lovely little neighbourhood. I remember ringing the bell to check who was home from school to go ride our bicycles too when I was a kid. Great memories, indeed! 'I'm Ready for Kindergarten' Aww, what a cute set of photos! Jacob looks so big and like a real little dude. I love your mixed media work on this LO. It looks fun and just a tad grungy: perfect for this new kindergartener. KikiPea 'Brain Freeze' Teehee, what an awesome photo you got to work with! Such wonderful layering with all the little pops of colour bursting out of that big cluster. Love those little garlands for the festive and summery touch. AussieMeg 'Red Hot Chilly Billy' Ok, best billy cart name ever! 🌶️ Love the cluster work with the big circles in the back serving as anchor points. The muted colour palette you chose works perfectly for your photos. The levelling for the pics is top notch too (getting video game levels vibes here). I've got to laugh at your mention of your son being out in his underwear so often. 😂 You're going to need to dedicate a LO to that.

Left love on Flickr for AussieMeg and LisaDV. Meg, I am always amazed by the vibrancy of your pages and how you get so many gorgeous and fun elements tucked in, yet always have lots of white space with or without the splatters. Lisa, I totally thought you were doing a Now and Then spread and that the two in the pinned page were your kids when little. Glad I read your whole post! sleepingbooty, I love your puppies in the garden page. Great photos. The pink and blue leashes are cute and the pic of that little nose examining the flower is adorable! Love all the circles. I missed the story behind these babies. Will you be keeping one?

Love the mix of square photos with the circles in this grid design, and that top photo is adorable - love the angle. LisaDV love your take on the saved layout. I really like the slightly brighter blue and orange colour combo on your version along with those sparkly splatters.

I made these 3 cards the other day for my shop. I delayed sharing them because I wasn't sure if they were really done, but of course I never notice what's missing or unbalanced until I take a photo and share it. So here they are. I probably need to add some more puns to the insides because people seem to like a follow up pun when they open the card. All Doodlebug So Much Pun. Food pun cards by jo.blackford, on Flickr

This is a LO for the "Created With Rewards" challenge at GingerScraps. I used the 'Farmhouse Spring' kit by the GingerScraps design team. I made the banner myself. The cute little cow is from pngtree. I'm not sure that she suits the page, but she was so cute I had to use her! The photo is of the farmhouse that my mum grew up in - her parents were dairy farmers (hence the cow). I spent a lot of time here when I was a kid, and I have so many wonderful memories. nylene , grammadee - regarding tomato hornworms. This boy was 5" long and 3/4" thick. They eat the plant. Seriously. Can devour an entire fully grown tomato plant. I discovered this guy because a huge arm of one of my big bushes was suddenly reduced to spindles without any leaves. It was SCARY. We took this one inside and let him cocoon/pupate into the moth in a big pickle jar. Just feeding him for the one day it took for him to pupate made me cry for the tomato plant I was using up! But we wanted to see the moth he became. That's an upcoming layout I had never seen these before, but once I found him, I also found a lot of GREEN versions of him - same size, but better camouflaged. We had to search them all out (mainly following the trail of eaten plant) and took them up to a vacant/overgrown lot because I can't bear to kill things that are just doing what they were born to do. kitbop I was just watching a YT video about caring for tomato plants and learned something really cool for you folks who have tomato hornworms. You can use a blacklight flashlight (easy to find on amazon or wherever, I think we got one for $10) to find the rotten little things. Just inspect your plants with the flashlight at night - they'll glow! And bonus, you could get a pretty picture like this to make another page. (ETA: I found this picture on google images)

First half of page 3 love: gramma What a beautiful bunch of cards! You've been a very busy bee. I love the black, white and red contrast you've used for most of these. So striking and contrasting. The little zombie on the Halloween card made me giggle. He's so funny! Love your use of multiple pattern papers for each front as well. It's making me itch to do some cardmaking of my own... Chinagirl828 'Hello Polperro' Such gorgeous pictures of this idyllic village! I love your choice of mimicking the whitewashed façades by using the textured white cardstock. The square grid is top notch and striking for the featured pictures. Great subtle matting job for each square as well. The soft, muted embellishments with darker blue touches truly is perfection here. AussieMeg 'Choose to Shine' Oh, the sunburst design here is striking! I love that you mixed the traditional sun colours (yellow, orange) with the blue of the sky to build up the rays. Gorgeous use of repeated circles to mirror the actual shape of the sun as well. How sweet and pretty is that photo? It's magazine material and you did a great job building a LO worthy of it! 'Let Your Feet Wander' Oh, I'm partial to a lot of white space and mixed media effects... *heart eyes* You've mirrored the dreamy beach memory so well with your LO. The hot air balloons are stinkin' cute. LisaDV 'Sleeping Bear Dunes' What a pretty picture. I love how you kept it simple and elegant here. The floral ribbon is beautiful. 'Explore' Oh my, be still my heart, all the soft tones! I so, SO adore the way you build up the botanical elements to recreate nature's way of growing and taking over. Beautiful job on the detail work as well: you added those sequins and caligraphy stamping ever so perfectly. 'Enjoy Nature' More soft hues, yay! Before I forget, love the photos and mix of views, close-ups and portraits. I never tire of sea/ocean views... Love the bokeh pattern paper in the background: it reminds me of the effect of sunlight breaking in through the tree branches. The floral clusters framing the photo ensemble are incredibly dreamlike. You did so well with these beach pages! 'Let's Wander Where the Wi-fi is Weak' Love the beach landscape here (still). How lucky were you to go when there weren't many visitors! The cluster with the succulent and violet butterfly is so pretty. 'The Platte' What a fun sun peaking out from above the photos. I love that you mirrored this by having the yellow flower peak out from behind the other florals in the large circle cluster. Great journaling around the photos. The white background floral paper is beautiful! 'Point Betsie Lighthouse' Oh, that sunset! I really like your choice of weather wood for the background here. The "cut up" floral clusters are a great idea to frame the large photos: subtle but elegant. 'Beauty in Simplicity' How fun is that frame to focus on your husband's beach find? I love the splatter on this page with the diagonal distribution to help the eye travel. The blue pattern paper matting the photos looks so pretty and matches the images perfectly. joblackford 'Tween Spirit Cards' Ah, finally getting around to commenting your first batch of these tween cards! I love how fun these are and how creative you've been making so many out of just one 6x6 pad and sticker sheet. The different themes are very well executed (even if that music-lovin' alien is creeping me out a little, teehee). The food card is calling my name! Why yes, I'll fry you... Great idea using a stitched frame for the astronaut card and so fitting for the 50th anniversary of the moon landing. Makes me think of all the people who sat in front of their telly and probably looked out the window to see the moon while they were watching the astronauts live on TV.
